When Nintendo brought Final Fantasy out of Japan they skipped Europe. PAL gamers eventually got to play it, but only through remakes. Today, Final Fantasy, the very first iteration of it, is available in Europe.
Nintendo put Final Fantasy on the Virtual Console as a digital import with the standard import tax. A download costs 600 Wii Points($6).
This version doesn’t have magic points, cameo bosses from other Final Fantasy games or full motion videos. However, your characters will hit air if an enemy dies and this version has 8-bit graphics. Ah, nostalgia.
