Anyone picking this up next week? I'm actually pretty excited about getting this that I think I'll pick up a late pre-order. :wacky:

I really enjoy Bethesda open-world games. I adored Oblivion and Fallout 3 so much so that New Vegas has been on my watch list as soon as the announcement came out. So far the game is looking pretty good and polished, and the story is apparently better than it was in Fallout 3, which should be good. 8D

I preordered this ages ago :D Well looking forward to getting it, I'm trying to make it so I can collect it but I'm having no luck unless I go in store (which I can't since I'm under 18 still ¬¬)

Meaning I may be forced to play it the following monday when it should get delievered =[ I swear to God though if I'm in college and no one is home to sign for it then I will be raging from here to the post office :)

It's coming out next week? Goodness I might go and sneak in a preorder then, I enjoyed Fallout 3 loads!

Got this! I'm loving the game so far. It seems to me like a super awesome Fallout 3 expansion because it's basically the same game (same artwork etc. etc.) but there's so much more new content that's been added. I'd say you can compare it more to the Elder Scrolls series insofar as you can now craft ammo and weapons and whatnot while also gathering herbs and stuff for quick potions and so on. So far the storytelling is living up to expectations. I've had a few chuckles from the conversation paths already in this game and I've barely touched it for 3 hours. I like how we can see through the sights now instead of the gun just zooming in because it makes the game feel a lot more realistic.

The 3rd person camera movement is still kinda off. Moving sideways is still a major animation flaw like it was in Fallout 3.

The graphics are definitely cheerier and I always look forward to nighttime when all the lights in New Vegas come on off in the distance. The audio is great as well, although there are a few less upbeat songs now, which I think is kind of disappointing, but overall it still gives the game quite the atmosphere.

I have to disagree with Damon on a point he made in the shoutbox last time around. I think the map is definitely far more expansive that we realize. Walking from Nipton all the way through Cottonwood Cove (half the map) took me almost an hour, so maybe half an hour if you exclude all the encounters. I don't really care, I think the game world is just so polished and graphically stunning that I couldn't care less if the thing was ever larger. 8D

I haven't even played the first one, I've been meaning to get it for ages now but just haven't got round to it. I'll buy both sometime this week, the new fallout looks incredible though

I'll have it tuesday hopefully YAY! The major problem with games like these of Bethesda is the time you can spend on them! I remember playing Oblivion over 200 hours INSANE So I have to contain myself this time gosh

Ive been loving this game though theeee in game choices ive made im really not happy with them at all and i wish id chose diffferently.
This is my frist fallout game though ive played oblivion loaaads. Loving all the customization you can do. A few times though ive got stuck in places. Ive jumped over like a fence and somehow cant get back over. Its also crashed my ps3 3 times =[
I turned it off a few hours ago as i was bummed about a certain choice i made in the game. I have another save but its waaaaay far back so im just gunna continue from where i am.

Ive quit this bastard game forever :hmph:

Something fucked up and the game glitched and for some reason now every person who sees me attacks me :hmph: I cant even talk to people to finish off missions :hmph:
Im not restarting it as i cant be arsed so its getting put in the bin

I don't like this game. =/

Well. I don't like any Fallout games. They are to... sandbox-y for my taste. I need more structure in my games.

I feel guilty... but I neglected the game for AC:Brotherhood and GT5 :( However, I did manage to clock 14 hours before it was neglected, I'm still debating whether I like the story as much as I did in FO3, however, the additions and tweaks they've done for New Vegas have definitely made the gameplay better. I'll need to pick it up again at some point and pick up from where I left off. :rage:

Ahhh this was on my list of games to buy but I hear that it glitches all the time and you can lose your save files etc. It looks like a really frickin brilliant game though it glitches alot or maybe those are just rumors... I hate glitches in games and it puts me off them really quick. Ill give this one a miss :hmmm:

Bethesda is coming up with a patch. Most of the glitches seem to have been addressed and I'm just waiting for this to release on Live. I think it'll come out sometime soon, but I suppose the release date is out there somewhere.

If i loaded my save would my problem be fixed orrrr would i have to restart the game? (not gunna happen)

My brother-in-law got this game (along with a strategy guide) for us for Christmas. Finally started it two days ago, though the controller is mostly in my husband's hands, while I have the guide with me. So far so good; the story's pretty interesting. I can't really compare the game to Fallout 3 since I haven't played Fallout for over a year, and I'm not that far into both games either. We reached Nipton late last night and trying to take out those bastards from the Legion faction, but those guys are on steroids. Might have to leave them alone for now.

I heard about the many glitches in this game; not sure if it's been patched up yet, but we haven't experienced any problems so far. At least not anything serious.
