whats everyones favorite airship? mine is obviously the prima vista. i like it cuz its the perfect definition of an airship and not all high tech/no fun. yay for old school mist powered machinges :)
 
My favorite airship by far is the Hilda Garde 3. It just looked epic. I loved the Invincible, mind you, but it was far too technological. The Hilda Garde 3 reminded me a lot of a pirate ship. Plus, I loved how huge it was. :yay:
 
ooh i like that one also. i liked the boat they used but for some reason im brain-farting and cant think of the name. :/
 
The Blue Narcissus. (Or spelled something like that.)

I loved it when I first got it, but came to loathe it once I found that 25% of the map was still inaccessible. Ahh... Final Fantasy IX... Good times... Good times... :ryan:
 
It's less of an obvious choice from me, but I'll go with the Blackjack from FFVI.

It's a perfect kind of design. It's not overly technological like the Ragnarok that the sci-fi element overrides the traditional fantasy elements. Yet the Blackjack does not look like the primitive flying boats with propellers in previous games.

And the inside of it - it's a whole flying casino on board. It's a really interesting idea and one that makes me love this airship so much. Too bad it meets its demise when the World of Balance collapses.
 
agreed on the ffix. i heart that game. i like the highwind too but just because its such a classic airship.
 
the one in FFV

because it can fly, swim AND go under water. none of the changing transport hassle!

BUT for the background music, definately the Hilda Garde.

it was pretty cool how the ragnarok landed on the one bulilding like it was a real dragon. :)
 
Yea the cut scene when it broke into the building and was clawing up the wall, pure awsome =3

I've always loved the design of these airships. I like reading the history of them. xD

I never did get far enough in VI to get an airship but I do love the designs. I like the Lunar Whale from IV as well. The Invincible and Hilda Garde 3 from IX were also really well designed.
 
Alexander, in FFXII. I just love the design...all sharp edges, and its got a very "Don't fuck with me or I'll blow you to pieces" look to it...like a Super Star Destroyer crossed with a dragon. Its got to be worth SOMETHING, since it carries the only Judge to survive the game on it. XD

I quite like the design of the Galbana in Revenant Wings, as well...it looks like an oversized butterfly. Very pretty ♥
 
Ragnarok kicked ass! What other ship can go into space? What was that? I can't hear you? Is it from lack of oxygen in those other rickety ships?

haha! But for reals. I don't really think anything in 8 would be considered an airship because they were schools and a spacehip. So my second chioce would go to the Blackjack from 6. It was fun seeing how all the characters would stand in different parts of the ship randomly!
 
Ragnarok:

Indeed dragonlike and a cool dragon as well, imagine Ragnarok would be a summon, Ragnarok felt alive to me, like it had a contious. and that youtube vid from MOONFLOW hits the spot lol, brings back memories :)
 
Definitely the Ragnarok from Final Fantasy VIII, just look at it for yourself:

As you can see, at the front of the Ragnarok, there's a dragon-like head, which looks awesome, the whole airship looks very "spikey" and intimidating, and I like that :)
