This is in the Music section for two good reasons

• It has to do with music(obviously )
• And a decent explanation on why you like given album cover/art.

Okay, so here's a few of them I like.

Album Title: This Will Be The Death of Us
Artist/Band Set Your Goals


This is just so cool-looking. The album is called "This will be the death of us" and I get how the art of this album is represented from the title. A sharp object through the center of the skull would definitely be the death of someone.

I just think it's a really nice painting, the style is lovely - and I like the speech bubbles!

Probably the NCAA cover, it's just so well designed and fluid, it's just amazing. The simple lines accented by the bold notation in the centre is just magnificent. I wonder what kind of artist they got to do it, it must have been someone famous. It's such a great piece that I have started putting it on all my albums. Brace yourself for this

Not Screamadelica by Primal Scream then?

Sticky Fingers comes to mind.

If you don't know the album then you should be ashamed, the album art is some guy who has quite a large penis and he is wearing very tight jeans. Which was parodied in Spinal Tap.

Led Zeppelin by Led Zeppelin also looks rather good.

There's quite a few iconic Beatles' covers, SPLHCB, Abbey Road, The White Album etc etc.

The artwork for RATM's first album is amazing, but that's because it's a stunning photograph, probably the second most famous photograph of the 20th Century, the first being that photo of Che Guevara.

However the most impressive piece of album art has to be Stiff Little Fingers' first album/EP or whatever it was. They're a Belfast band and they started during the Troubles and they sent some cassettes of their music to Record Labels. They designed the cassettes so they looked like Cassette bombs, and one record label destroyed it because they thought it actually was a bomb.

The cover for 12 Odd Future Songs by Odd Future Wolfgang Kill them All is by no means my favorite album cover. But it made me chuckle the first time I saw it.

I can't think of what my favorite album art is at the moment. Though I think Orchestra of Wolves by Gallows deserves an honorable mention.

The cover art for Stratovarius's album Polaris looks pretty awesome to me. But then again most Power Metal bands seem to have awesome art for their albums.

I also like the artwork for Suspended Animation from John Petrucci.

I really love this album cover. Circa Survive are an awesome band, though I preferred Anthony Greene with Saosin, but still, one of my favourite covers.

I've seen that. It's pretty damn impressive. It kinda reminds me of Dimmu Borgir's 'In Sorte Diaboli' album, were you got a mirror with the album sleeve and it helped you see stuff in the artwork

It is, it's beautiful, I haven't been so impressed by album art in a long time.. Zbigniew M. Bielak is an amazing artist

And yes! I never knew about that until recently because I'm a filthy disgusting downloader, hurrhurr... super clever idea, I think!

I didn't know the artists name actually so I just googled him. Some of the stuff is amazing.

Haha yeah its good when bands go a bit out of their way to include extra stuff like that. Makes buying the album worth it rather than downloading. I'm a slight hoarder anyway so I kind of like having physical copies of things rather than digital. Which worries me because one day they're probably gonna stop making cd's D:

This takes my vote for favorite artwork and favorite album ever. The other Cynic records have great covers as well - Robert Venosa was a mastermind.

Pink floyd the division bell is one of my favourite album arts ever. Brilliant album and really the only album by pink floyd i listen to anymore.

The other puzzles by biffy clyro. When you know what some of the songs are about etc the art really sums it up
