This thread is about posting your favorite character's alternative clothes. Please give explanation on why you like that character's alternative.

I like Clouds alternative clothes which is from Advent Children more than his original clothes from Final Fantasy VII because he looks awesome in it. That is the best alternative clothes in Dissidia Final Fantasy I ever seen in my opinion.

Of course it's Cloud's. The rest are only very slight changes. I like Terra's too, the classic green hair and, like the moogle said, "gawk at Alternative Terra's gams" lawl. As for the rest... well, Squall's SeeD uniform is nice. Well, that's my call.
 
Clouds it my favourite, but only because it is a completely noticable change, the same with Squals SeeD uniform. Instead of just being different colors or small added accessories, it annoys me when they don't put any thought or imagination into alternate designs. Sure it was easy for them to take Clouds alternative from Final Fantasy Advent Children but I was really dissapointed in Tidus's and Jecht's.
 
It's definitely Cloud for me, too. They're better than his original clothes and make him look more like a fighter than a wannabe swordsman. I also liked Squall's alternative look being his SeeD uniform, but I'm quite disappointed with a few of the others I've seen so far. For instance, merely changing the colour of Tidus' clothes slightly seemed very lazy and sloppy.
 
I would have to say Cloud's is the coolest. Coming from AC isn't really creative, but it is cool. My second fave would be Squall's SeeD uniform. As someone else mentioned, Jecht's was dissapointing along with several others that just got color changes.
 
Although many are only color changes, the worst are maybe Tidus's and Jecht's... they don't even change color... it's only the colors are now brighter. Oh joy. >.>
 
well this is difficult because most of the alternate clothes were only slight changes, so i guess i have to say cloud. i also like it because it is his advent children clothing and i love that film
 
Firion because it looks alot more unique than his normal costume

Also Terra because I prefer her in-game sprite over her original artwork

And Cloud because its advent
 
I like Cloud's Advent children costume because it comes with the Last Tsurugi and it just looks epic win. I also like Squall's SeeD uniform. It makes him look very classy going into battle.
 
Cloud's is the coolest although it is not the most noticible. Bartz's hair colour even changes. Sephiroth makes more sense in EX mode in alternative form cuz how can your wings show when wearing clothes? Sephy looks better in normal mode though.
 
I like Sephiroth's alternative clothes the most. He jus' looks really 'good' like that ^^; I'm kind of a Sephiroth lover XD
 
I think it has become pretty apparent that the favorite alternative outift is Cloud's. (It's mine too, don't get me wrong.) But Tidus' wasn't that bad! It's his old outift. It's not just the brighter colors. He's my second favorite because it gives off a wave of nostalgia.
 
ive got 2 mains. one hero and a bad guy. cloud and seph but i prefer to cloud. hes kinda more fun but im nearly unbeatable with them so it doesnt matter with whom i fight :D
 
well I sorta like Zidanes alternet, but i only like the EX alternate, not the regular. I liked the blue and him acually having peach skin :gasp:

but imo the alltime best alternate is WoL's alternate. He looks better in red than in blue. but imho, since they changed him almost completely (other than helmet) from the origonal concept art, i feel they should have gave him his origonal look back. The only character i feel can completely pull of the alternate look is Cloud, since he has different looks between the game and movie. thats just mho though, and besides, clouds second look isnt the best anyways...

but i really like that they had alt looks :D
 
As of lately, I've grown to like Sephiroth's alternative look. I was surprised to see at first, but then realised he looked exactly like that at the end of FFVII. Ever since then, I've kept that look as opposed to his usual one.

I don't understand. What's there to like? It's just his normal outfit put in the wash. Seriously, that's kinda lazy.

Others I can understand. Bartz's alt was another design Amano made. Same thing with the Emperor and Firion. Squall and Cloud's, you can see where they got it from

Jecht's, Kuja's, Zidane's, Garland's, WoL's, Exdeath's, and Cecil's just seem sorta lazy to me.

To be honest, I liked Terra's alternative even though it was only a hair color change. Green hair fits Terra so much more than blond does, and I felt that with the green hair it was just an all around better look. So her alternative design I was most happy with.

Yes, Cloud's alternative was great too. I think he looks a whole lot better in that getup than the SOLDIER uniform.

Look at her gams (legs). There's another change. Yes, she's not wearing those. Ajem... blame the moogle that sent that over the mail, :whistle:
 
My favourite is also Terra's alternate costume.

I've always loved the green-haired Terra, though I like the blonde look also. I'm just more used to the green hair as that is what was in FF6 and it helped her stand out as more exotic.


Other than that... I quite like the Amano colours for Bartz. I don't know why, as it doesn't fit his sprite etc, but I think it's a good varient. Better than most of them really which are just lame pallette swaps / barely even that. Some of them are barely noticable in their differences.
