FF Parallel Characters

Well i checked the last five pages, and didnt see this subject so i thought id make a thread about it.

I beleive that every Final Fantasy game has characters that has the same attributes, abilities whatever. They share simalar roles in their respective games, but which do you think is the best at that type of character? Or who do you perfer? Why?

Example: Better Brute force characters; Steiner, Auron, or Barret?.
Better Comedic characters; Quina or Cait Sith.
Better Main Characters(Well that could be just about anyone.)
Better Summoner; Yuna, Dagger, Areith.
Better theif; Rikku or Zidane?
Better guardian; Kimarhi or Steiner?



Those are just some examples i thought of, but what are some you guys could think of? I'm really interested to see and hear? And what do you think of mine?

I believe I have one, you mean like on Final Fantasy X. Bahamaut or Anima. I see where you are going but I'm not sure mines really matched of what you were looking for.

Best Black Mage - Vivi, Lulu, or Palom?

As for your ones...

Better Brute force characters; Steiner, Auron, or Barret?. - = Barret
Better Comedic characters; Quina or Cait Sith. = Quina (but a tough choice!)
Better Main Characters(Well that could be just about anyone.) = Terra
Better Summoner; Yuna, Dagger, Areith. = I'll add Rydia to that list, and go with her.
Better theif; Rikku or Zidane? = Zidane.
Better guardian; Kimarhi or Steiner? = Kimahri... I think Steiner fits the comedic character category as well though.

A: Sabin/Mash - He's got an ability called Bum Rush! C'mon! What's not to like?

Better Comedic characters; Quina or Cait Sith.

Hmmm...of those, I guess I'd go with Quina. The marriage was priceless.

Better Summoner; Yuna, Dagger, Areith.

A: Rydia - She was awesome and grew up with the Summons even!

Better theif; Rikku or Zidane?

A: Locke - Zidane was a watered down Locke...Rikku was kind of meh & teetering on the edge of becoming like a Selphie-type character (though admitedly funnier).

Best Black Mage - Vivi, Lulu, or Palom?

A: Rydia - She wins this one too...If not, then I'd definitely go with Vivi cause he was awesome...Terra/Tina was a close 3rd though (because she looks so bitchin in her Morphed form).

Here's ones from me...

Best Ninja: Edge, Shadow...Yuffie?
(Why are there only 3 real ninjas in the series btw???)
Best Swordmaster: Cecil, Cyan, Cloud, Squall, Steiner, Auron?

Best Ninja - Shadow.. A realy tough one as I love Yuffie to bits too.... But Shadow had a dark mysterious past and it was fun trying to unravel that in the WOR to figure out who he realy is. Edge was kool too mind...

Best Swordmaster - I would go with Cyan if it didn't take him 5 minutes to charge his powerful attacks... therefore I go with either Cloud or Steiner.... Auron was never that strong in my party, but i like his character... So Cloud or Steiner for me for actual combat effectiveness.

Best non-human? Red XIII, Quina, Kimahri, Umaro, Mog? Any more I may have missed out...

With what you went with there, and because I can't think of anythingelse, I'd say...

Auron for brute strength, I never actually found Steiner all that strong really, Barrett maybe but well, tbh I'm an Auron fanbitch so yeah....there ye go

Quina or Cait Sith, hmm, well in this category I rather liked them both tbh, I think I will lean more towards Quina just coz it eats everything in sight, although I am fond of Cait

Main character would be either Squall, Cloud or Zack, I just really didn't think much of Vaan or Tidus. I'd probably lean more towards Cloud because he seemed to have alot of character development imo

Best Summoner I guess would be Yuna, only because I oly played IX twice and that was like yonks back, but yeah Yuna.. Ooh or Terra,, yeah she could get my vote there seeing as she was half esper

I think I'd have to say the best theif was Yuffie

Oh there's also best Ninja to consider here Yuffie or Shadow. Well as said above I see Yuffie as more a thief, and Shadow is just a better ninja anyway

Best pirate: Balthier or Faris (I'm getting into this ) Erm...well I dunno hahaha, prolly Balthier, curse my fanbitch ways and not giving a proper reason

Black mage - Lulu or Vivi....er....Iguess I eould go with Vivi on that, although I just dislike Lulu

Best Pirate.. I'd go with Faris... Again hard to find a reason, but I just loved her! A female purple haired (in the game at least) pirate, who travelled the seas on a ship driven by a sea monster! What isn't there to like?

But Balthier was ace too mind.. best thing from FF12...

 

[Addiction]

Best Brute Force Character: Barret - the guy always reminds me of Mr. T, can't get much more brutal then that.

Best Comical Chracter: Quina, annoyingly funny.

Best Main Character: Squall - The guy who dosen't want to care about anything/being a hero, yet ends up doing both.

Best summoner: Yuna - The summonings in 10 were great, so she comes with the package.

Best Theif: Rikku - I've only played 7-12 (DoC and CC aswell) and shes better then zidane in my eyes.

Best Ninja: Yuffie - She wins just because of the love of materia

Best Guardian: Steiner - Simply because of all the armor, he just looks the part.

Best Non Human: Kimahri - His sense of honor and duty cannot be matched.

Best Swordmaster: Sepiroth - The guy cut through pretty much everything in his path, you can't get better then that.

Best Character with the Coolness Factor: Auron - The Final Fantasy Samuel l Jackson, Whatever he says or doesn't say for that matter always ends up with the 'coolness' factor.

I do really like Faris, she's easily my favourite FFV character and I would have voted for her if it wasn't for that sexy accent that Balthier has, andheDOES steal more than she does so I'm technically justified....sort of

Hydra was the shit though, I STill haven't completed it yet though so im hoping s/he isnt dead
