Well the Advance remake of the great FF VI is on its way (out in Japan, wont be long till the rest of us!), so who's gonna get it?

Out of all the Advance releases this one is the hardest to port properly, so it'll be intresting to see what the results are. Parts of the dialogue that were missed out in earlier translations, missing a great chunk of storyline apparently, have been added. Plus new Espers and whatnot.

Personaly I cant wait :D

Sounds interesting. If I recall, and do correct me on this, FFVI was the only Final Fantasy to have a second player join in on the fun. Although it was mainly the person with the first controller who did most of the stuff.

man this is gonna be awsome but shouldnt it be for the ds?????????
Not really. But then again because of the way FF VI was done, pushing the SNES pretty much to its limits, the GBA version might come out abit flawed being not able to handle it as well as I,II,IV and V. but we shall see. DS would be taking it to far tho unless they planed on a full-scale remake like III, but that wont happen.

Can't say about the original SNES games, I only have ROMS of thos versions and I've never taken the time to find out. The PS versions however I think I've gotten my bro involved with V, possible IV, but im not sure. IV definitly does have it tho but seems unlikely that they'll include this feature in the Advance releases.

I suppose if the two player co-op was feature, would this make it worth making the game linkable?

Maybe, but its only for battles. If they did it so when you do multi-party events in-game (such as Kefkas Tower etc) where more than one party is in play, a second or even third person could link up taking control of the other partys whilst you handle the first. That would be pretty cool but still would be a very small amount of linkable gameplay.

I Am definaitly going to buy this game :D FF6 is a favourite of mne and it kinda sucks that i have to play it on an emulator - i want a portable version :D

Sorry for my ignorance, but what is GBA?

I clearly don't have one, so I'm going to miss out on this one... :(

Game Boy Advance ^^

I still have the PS1 version, but I will be getting the GBA version too.

I am going to get it just to fight czardragon in the final dungeon I have always wanted to fight that thing.

Hmm, is there a whole lot difference between FFVI on PS versus FFVI on Advance? I'd really like to know. I'm currently playing FFIV and am enjoying it.

Graphicly no, all versions of FFVI tend to have the same graphics tho some localisations have changes in spitits etc, so not much change there as far as I know.
Music-wise, I think the music has had a bit of change but I can't say much on that.

However what I do know:
Its got a new translation, re-adding some significant lines to the story that have been previously missed out. New Espers such as Cactuar, dungeons and super-bosses such as Omega and Czardragon among others. Glitches in the game such as the infamous 'Vanish/Doom techinique' and others little tad-bits have been sorted. Plus the major long loading times of the PS version (like when you go into menu screen, it takes 3 seconds to load!) will no longer be tedious, now fast as the SNES version :)

Gah. I hated the PS version because it always lagged during the fight scenes. Idk why, prolly because my PS was dropped on the floor a lot at that time...my bad xD.

Anywho, I'm pumped about the FF VI coming out on the GBA...yeah it would have been nice to see it on the DS, but honestly Idk how I would feel if it had a total 3d makeover like III did.

i'm not planning on getting it at all since most of it i have seen already (completed US version which i know is missing a lot) and if i want the missing story bits i'll play a translated version of jap 6 on snes. i've never been one to enjoy re-makes of any rpg's
