Long time since I’ve been on here. My son bought me XVI for Christmas. In the past I’ve used either Piggyback or Prime guides - well I am 70! Sadly, they no longer do these paperback guides. The only place that does seem to do them is Amazon. I recently ordered one, but it is a great disappointment (see attached file). There are no images, no maps, stats etc, just text. Not very helpful, I feel. Of the guides that are available, with illustrations, maps and so forth, what would you folks recommend?

The only official FFXVI guide out there is the "FFXVI Ultimania" book but sadly it's only released in Japanese.
Maybe you can try following a digital guide? lots of website and youtube channels out there that provide full detailed guides with videos and screenshots if you'd give them a shot!

Thanks, mate. I was hoping there were others - I know Amazon has at least three. Official or otherwise, as long as they continue illustrations, maps, strategies, characters upgrading and walkthroughs I’ll be happy enough. As you say, there’s walkthroughs on the web, but that’s rather tedious when you‘re playing or working things out late at night in bed!
