FF5 for DS

I wish FF5 would come out for the portable nintendo system. FFIII look awesome in 3 Dimension and so would FF5 (and much more so).
 
FFV is fine as it is on the GBA since it was only a port then it was easy to make - personally id like them to finish FFXIII and its stuff then Re-making FFVII before even thinking of remaking FFIV FFV And FFVI for the DS or whatever
 
There's no point in remaking the game. A simple port will do. The only reason they re-made FFIII is because it had not been released outside of Japan before. They added like two new boss battles when they ported it to the GBA, which is dumb, so I say they've messed with it enough. You could argue a port to the PSP, just to be fair... but it really doesn't affect me either way.
 
I've played the FF Anthology version of the game and loved it. Sof ar it's my favorite of the old school games, with VI very close behind. It's out for the PS1 on Anthology and now on the GBA, so I doubt it will go to any more systems for a while now.
 
Nah, it's already on enough systems as it is, especially since they just JUST released it for GBA. You know what needs to come to DS? Final Fantasy Tactics.
 
Slightly off topic, but sort of still on the same base.

I heard in Japan they had a survey. What did they want? FFIII (The one NA bever got) for the DS? Or FFVI (the one we know and love) to be remade and put onto the DS... Sadly, III won.. I'd rather seen it in a nice 3D environment.

Although I agree: FFV on the DS would've been killer, but wouldn't make sense. Why would Square release FFI-IV (skip V) and VI all on the GBA, and then release FFV on the DS? It'd be like putting the 4 games in a hat and randomly choosing.
 
Yeah, FFV for the DS would surely be a killer(positively, of course), though I don't see why they have the need to remake the game again.
Then again, they're gonna (remake and) release FFI and FFII again, this time for the PSP... :|

I think it'll perform well enough in the PSP.
 
Some things are better left as is. I also can't wait for Final Fantasy Tactics to hit the ds. I've played a little bit of tactics form the gba and it was fun. Revenant wings also looks pretty good, it also changed its play style. It resembles an rts in my opinion.
 
Well since FFIV is now being remade for the DS i think that FFV and VI may also be remade for the DS too...with I And II getting remade for the PSP and all these others going onto the DS it seems that Square want to remake them all with the best graphics they can so hopefully FFV will get remade for DS and the PS1 FFs will get remade for the ps3 ^_^
 
i would love if tehy remake 5, but personally i don't think it would do much, the best thing in ff5 is teh job system (best ive used yet imo). But i would still welcome the remake with open arms, and about $50 or so
 
Im with you on the remaking VII-IX...personally if they were to remake VII or VIII i don't think theer is much going up tehy could do. I would almost be afraid to play it incase they change to much and ruin it. But who knows. If all they change is teh graphics it might be all right
 
Well since they are remaking IV for the DS they will probably most likely remake V for the DS too if IV does well. Like I said for IV, I don't want them to make the characters look all cutesy. That could actually make Galuf look pretty scary.

The was some of the camera angels are in III, if they used the same ones for V, I think some of the scenes could be ruined specifically Galuf's fight with Ex Death.
 
What I don't understand is:

They're remaking IV on DS in 3D ... then they're remaking II in 2D on the PSP ... even though it was originally a 2D game anyway?

This is just Squenix's way of worming more money out of us. *Le sigh*
 
Maybe so but I always like to see the transaction from 2D to 3D as it is a big jump for these games. The only thing that I'm not happy about which is taking Kain out of the redesigned over-the-top logo.
 
I Would Prefer a FF7,FF8,And FF9 On The PSP! Maybe Even FF10 Wouldn't That be a Surprise!!! Anyway FF5 Polygonal Graphics And Reworked Art Nice!
 
Do you know what, a remake of FFX on the PS3 would go down a treat, the graphics look so frikkin dated compared to what XIII's look like!

FFX doesn't need a remake, the graphic for it are fine unlike the FF's from FIX downwards which kinda have dated.

As for a FFV DS remake, well it wouldn't surprise me in the slightest since they are remaking FFIV for the DS.
 
I´m against DS-remake too. Better make new good unique games than bringin same old stuff with some new extra and more pretty faces. But I would like to see Ramza and his friends on DS. Too bad Tactics-remake is on PSP.
 
It's probably going to come out and I will probably buy it. I would like to see what it's like and I'm trying to collect all of the FF games anyways.
