FFIX - Is Leveling Up To 99 Really Worth It?

Oh that picture is the level 1 Ozma challenge.

No, I don't think reaching to level 99 helps much. The only difference I found was just higher HP when I leveled Zidane to 80. The most important thing in FFIX anyways was maxing out all of the characters abilities anyways. I had no problem beating FFIX the first time, with my characters being level 50ish. The lower your characters are the better the challenge is.
 
I don´t really think its worthy you can beat every enemy with relative ease if your higher than level 50 i think!

Level 99 is a waste of time in my opinion unless you´re trying to accomplish a challenge by reaching it or something!:)
 
I beat the game with my party at level 60 and was fine. I figure anything over that is what you would do if you're into maxing out stats and reaching limits on everything. I'm not one of those people. Long as I've beaten all the sidequests I'm happy.

Still would like to get the Excalibur II sometime though.
 
i got to like level 75 and gave up, because it didnt seem worth it and after awhile it takes way tooo long.
 
I'll eventually get there just to say I did it, but it's not a top priority for me. Sure it will make the boss fight with Ozma a lot easier, but after that, there's nothing else I need to do in the game.

I've spent a good 5-7 hours leveling my characters up and zidane is only level 20! And to top it all off, I've been having to kill off the other characters for him to even get a decent share of exp!
 
It's not really necessassary in any game unless you want to fight some impossible and even then it's usually not necessassary. Some people just like to max out their characters. You should be able to beat any end boss at level 60 or 70.

I have killed Squall in FFVIII because he was over 10 levels ahead of everyone. :D

Anyway, I might attempt to get to level 99 but I wouldn't say it is a top priority. More just satisfaction of maxing out.
 
I just recently started playing ffix with the intention of leveling up to 99...
But...
On my previous save, I didn't get to level 60 until disc 4, and I trained HARD. <__<
 
i dont think its worth lvling to 99 cause there is hardly a differnece just focus on gettin team to around lvlv 60 -70 thats the best lvl period i think
 
Not really. Unless it's for extra HP, then I kinda see the point in doing it. Other than that there's really not much benefit from it. It probably takes way too long to do anyway. Ehh... I think I tried to do it but it was just taking too long and I gave up.
 
In my opinion the 70's range is fine. I beat Ozma with all my characters ranging around 70-75 and beating the Final Boss of the game around that level was like childs play. So is it worth it? Sure if you wanna have an easier time with Ozma. Would I do it? Not really but it wouldnt take long farming dragons.
