alright guyz just bin readin ur posts on this an cudnt resist 1 of my own firstly gotta agree wiv f.f.fan wud much rather PLAY ff8 than watch it a film would be a waste of time in my opinion when continuing the best game eva made wud be so much betta. u all seen advent children. right well playin out those fight scenez wud b wicked and even betta if u were squall or even a completly new character who joinz garden wiv ps3 an 360 who knowz wot SE are plannin man derz 2 much money there 4 da takin for them not to do something more with it it just dont make good buissness sense which at the end of the day is wot they r<_<
 
I agree with you there, but the problem is that Square are very stubbon and also very wary of doing anything in that context, mainly cause their scarred of doing it wrong and upsetting their fans. Damn them lol
 
The idea of a movie of FFVIII makes me crazy, it couldn't be a movie. It'd have to be a series. If they made either, it would make me sad. It would be like mutilating a corpse of a perfectly beautiful respected person.
 
I think if they just stuck to the game and made that into a movie and explained some things like the time compression so retarded people could understand it then it would be the best movie ever made romance, Violence and of course explosions lol
 
i would love an ff8 movie because the game has a bettre cast of charcters and the storylines is a far better 1 than the 1 that ff7 has. :D
 
Funny thing, I always felt that FFVIII felt kinda like a movie already.
So, I say it would make a good movie, but I would rather have a game remake.
 
lol i guess im not alone on the game bein made into the movie btw what would you guy's think would be the best part of it? im lokin forward to seeing the garden battle that i think was the coolest cgi besides some other parts
 
they are not lazy.eventually, they WILL release ff 7 on the ps3.ff is the game that kept square from going under.so thats pretty much y they take their time with every game and movie.and in my own opinion i think that instead of making a whole new movie or even a sequel move like advent children.i think they should just simply take a ff game that everyone loves (such as ff8) and turn it into cg's.it wouldn't be hard or even time consuming.plus they will already know what number of ppl will see it.maybe and only then will a video game actually be turned into a GOOD movie.
 
After seeing Leon so much in KH... I wouldn't want to see an FF8 movie unless Squall looked like Leon. And we're so used to David Boreanez voicing Leon, I can't picture anyone else doing Squall. It would have to be a good few years in the future for that to happen.

Plus, I couldn't do with a movie full of lovey-dovey Squanoa.
 
I'd rather them keep Squall the way he was in 8 or make him cooler. SE made the characters in FF7 even cooler then they already were. I'd love to see a sequel to FF8. But, I'd rather see a game made than a movie, unless it was really kick ass like Advent Childeren. Still prefer a game tho.

Damn in KH..he looked Awesome I think Cloud feel jelous..
and I think Squall will be tifas boy friend, then Cloud relize that he's in love with Tifa so he came after here but she don't want him she want the sexy Leon then the fight between Leon and Strife start!! Strife attackin but leon Easyly Dudege the attack and kick Strife ass with 1 blow...Leon came back home with Tifa and have some wild fun.
The End.
 
Yeah! FFVIII movie would be so awesome! It'd be cool if it's something like Final Fantasy Advent Children...with good graphics and all.
 
honestly.advent children really let me down.the movie wasnt as good as it was hyped to be.yes i love ff7 as much as the next guy but it didnt really make sense to me.it felt like it didnt pick up where the game left off.

You didn't feel that way about FF7?

I would like to see an FFVIII movie. Why not? The game is full of FMVs, so I don't see the difference. Besides if you watch it and think, "damn, I just wanna play it". GO PLAY IT!! LOL!
 
I'd rather just see them port FF8 to the PS3 with updated graphics. Who needs the movie? :)
