I cannot remember if I've already posted a thread like this, so forgive me if I have.

Anyways, I am playing FFXII, and am up to the last league of the game (before point of no return). However I want to tackle some sidequests to make me fully satisfied about completeing the game. All my characters are level 65, but I'm trying to find a way to get them to level 99 with as little effort as possible. Any ideas?

I've already tried these methods:

Negalmuur - Really effective, but I'm guessing that when you get to level 60+ the experience you get from the zombies won't get you anywhere fast.

Overlooking Eternity, Nabreus Deadlands - Chaining the Dead Bones method. Tried this, wasn't really what I was looking for, as I had to move a few screens away for the 40+ Dead Bones to respawn. Waaaay too much work :P

Henne Mines - Chaining Abysteels in Pithead Junction C. When I tried this, somehow I still got gang-banged by the sheer amount of Abysteels, most of them weren't falling asleep! I'll try this method again when I'm level ~75, see what happens. But 3000+ EXP from 1 level 64 Abysteel is pretty good.

If you know of another effective, efficient method, please, do tell.

Sorry

Looks like your looking for something that isn't there. The methods you don't want to do has been discovered to be the best there is. You just missed leveling in the top area of the great crystal. There's really no faster way unless you hacked the game and placed your own creatures. To speed things up you should get those accessories that double exp earned. Then if you want faster results I'd suggest having only one or two members at a time for more exp.

Also doing hunts would only land you lp NOT exp. This game requires you to spend a lot of time on achieving goals. So leveling to 99 is not needed but for bragging rights its there.

You've already tried the best methods possible, hahah.

If you're willing to put in the effort, I recommend the lowers levels of the Pharos. Alternatively, a full hike to Giruvegan and back, and the same all the way through the Pharos, should bump you up a few. xD

It seems like you've listed all of the best ways to gain experience...but if you really want to put forth a minimum of EFFORT, I'd say that continuing to exploit Negalmuur is your best bet. As your levels increase, you don't even have to monitor your party to make sure that they aren't dying...just set the controller down and have a snack. =P

So, using Negalmuur may not be the fastest way to gain levels, but it is certainly the easiest. :wacky:

Argh. Those were the answers I was dreading. Looks like my date with Hell Wyrm, Yiazmat and Omega XIII has to be postponed for another few days.. Well, thanks for your help anyways.

Im pretty sure I was about your level when I took on Hell Wyrm... that should keep you occupied for an hour or so :gasp:

We are both in the same boat though, all I have left to do is Yiazmat and Omega

Have you completed the bestiary other that that? That might boost a few levels and give you something to do in the mean time?

Oh yeah, the stupid beastiary. I should do that. Which reminds me, I should try to hunt down those silly vegetables in Feywood. I can only find the tomato guy though...

You need to completely empty the area, so that might mean waling around it for ages, you have to do it in order to make a hunt appear, i just walked round in circles making sure I covered the whole area about 3 times (on both screens where the enterance of Giruvegan is:gasp: ) then they appeared...if you havent done the hunt though, Id advise going getting the bill for it, otherwise you will have to do it all over again - as soon as the area is empty, they appear and once they have been defeated, the mark will appear in the bottom part of they feywood...hes pretty hard though, I had a tough time with it

Thats if we are talking about the same area..... xD

From my expierience i offer you to make some Hunts or just exp by one of the methods you just said ; d I make 54 Level at the beginning of the game killing this big Dinozaur so you know ;) (watch my movie somewhere on forum)
