So who's your least favorite character(s) in the game so far? Please be sure to state the reason why and try to avoid spoilers as much as possible. If need be, use spoiler tags.

At first I was okay with Hope. He actually didn't bother me as much as I thought he would. When the trailers came out, I thought, "Oh great, I can tell I'm not gonna like him." I played the game and surprisingly I didn't feel that deep dislike like I did with Vaan. Hope was just...there, tagging along, so I didn't really mind him...at first. I'm now towards the end of Chapter 7 and boy oh boy, is he getting on my nerves! I thought it would get better with him but no, he's such an irritating little brat.
I have never seen any character with that much PMSing - it's like the whole time he's on scene, he feels the need to act all dramatic every single time, it seriously gets old. -.- And I can tell this isn't the end of his dramatic episodes.

I quite like Vanille but she's not up there...in fact I don't really have any strong opinions about her. I mean her voice is quite annoying but as far as her personality goes - she's alright, nothing special. Perhaps I'll grow to like her a bit more later, but as of now, I shall put her down on my list here. She's cute though I'll say that.

 
I very much dislike both Hope and Snow. Hope for obvious reasons and Snow just because I don't like the guy? Why? I don't really know... he just bugs me.
 
TBH i HATE snow .... his overall character is just annoying. what ever he does its because of serah!!! i mean i know he loved her but jesus he does go on.
Then you have his overall 'HERO' thing goin on which is just as annoying cos he just isnt a hero at all LOL
 
Vanille, although it's and drip and drabs. She annoyed me in the first few chapters because she seemed to be over-optimistic just after
Hope's mother died and just wouldn't let him show the emotion he needed to get out
but then again, in scenes such as the one with Sazh where
he finds out it was Vanille's fault
she plays her part extremely well. I don't know really, I've changed my mind with her a bit I wouldn't class her as "annoying" or even as "least favourite" now, she just bugs me now and again.
 
Hope and Snow for me. I feel sorry for Hope with whats happened, but good grief, he just beats round the damn bush! Just someone tell Snow already!! And gag him cause Im sick of his booming voice screaming "SERAH!!!!!!" Seriously, these 2 are pains in the arse!
 
Hope and Snow sit up quite high in this category. I used to utterly despise Hope earlier, but six chapters later I have grown used to him slightly. I still harbour strong dislike for him though - as well as his initial nemesis Snow.

First chapter and
Nora Estheim dies during battle
against the Sanctum. Of course Hope would be in anguish about that. I totally understand that. But what irritates me is that Hope just moans over and over again about
how it's all Snow's fault
. Despite the fact that the culprit only indirectly caused this to happen, Hope just despises him so much for him. And what does he do?
Not much. He doesn't confront Snow about it until much later
. Most of the time he is just hesitant, speechless and almost puzzled. So much for your lust for revenge.

As for Snow, how many times do I hear his voice booming around yelling "SERAH!!" and "HERO!!"? It is annoying and it just makes me want to see Lightning slash him in the face. The only redeeming factor is that Snow
immediately believed Serah unlike Lightning about her status as a L'Cie
- as well as his determination to fight for her.
 
I can't stand Hope and Snow much. Hope's constant whining
about his mother's death yet total inability to express anything other than whining
really grinds on and on. Hope isn't always unbearable, but he turns every cutscene into a farce. I think a slightly older or more mature character would have worked better.

As for Snow, it's the fact that he seems fixated over and over on "being a hero" and Serah. He seems more there for the sake of having a hardass and
as someone to save Serah
than as a real character with feelings and development, which makes him one dimensional and boring in my eyes, totally unable to stand on his own.
 
Snow. Godawful dialogue. Ruins great moments in the game. His overall personality is annoying as well. He's egotistical, arrogant, smug, naive, stupid and pathetic (
NORA actually hunted down weak defencless creatures, slayed them, then called themselves heros in the most irritating manner possible.
) He seems condescending and a little maschogynistic. If I hear him either call himself a hero (someone who actually calls themself a hero is a douche, period) or calls Serah baby one more time I'll scream. The guy is the perfect example of a 'manly man' as we Irish call 'em.

When someone is in trouble, an average person would think "OMG that person is in trouble, this is awful, I'll do what I can to help."

Snows reaction is "Aw yeah! A chance to be a big hero and save everybody! I'm comin' baby, your studly manly hero dude is here to save you!"

Jihl Nabbat. Sterotype of a character-- her boobs annoy me, because they are a cheap ploy. She makes parts of the game feel childish with anime moments. Right before
she is killed by Barthandulus
, the way she jumps down to confront the gang really made me cringe.

I USED to dislike Hope, but as he changed and evolved, and grow up a bit, I quite like him now.
 
Well, everyone has said Snow and Hope, they said all the reasons for hating them, there is nothing more I can say. Yes, Hope whines too dang much, take a breather and calm down. Pop a pill or something.
 
Hope does kind of annoy me. I remember being like OMGGGG at him to begin with. But he doesn't annoy me as much as Vanille does! Her accent is annoying, she's too hyperactive, energetic... and when she says "Ciao!", that really erks me. :\
 
Snow is the only one that annoys me really, obsessed with being a 'hero' then the whole NORA thing at the beginning of the game, he just seems a bit childish with that to me
 
Hope, by far. I like the other characters simply because they can stand him.

To be fair, he's gotten better, but still the worst character. He's the Edward in this game in that he's so bad compared to the rest of the cast. Although he's still more useful in battle than Edward was...
 
I dont like lightning much I hated her at first but not in the mid of the game where she starts opening herself to the party members.I dont like Hopes character,he always blames himself and seems to not like looking at woman much.
 
So far in the game i'd have to say:

Hope

He can't seem to find his balls even if they were hanging right in front of him.

He say's that Lightning is helping him "toughen up." but he has yet to tell Snow
about his mother's death
(where i'm at anyways) and he just complains. It's annoying watching the cutsences and hearing him complain about every little thing and he's just too emotional. I mean I understand
that he lost his mother
but seriously kid shut up! No one invited him he chose to go in the first place (along with Vanille) to confront Snow yet he never did :ffs:

I'm also annoyed by Snow. he's way too obsessed with Serah & it does get annoying hearing him say her name 24 fucking 7 V.V I mean, he seems sweet but dude, shut up xD she's not
going to be un-crystallized
by saying her name all the damn time >.>

Eh, hes a kid, not a fully grown man :neomon: he probably isnt use to strong minded women beating the shit out of people around him.

Actually Im finding Snow and Hope to be less annoying now everything wieht them is out in the open at last!!

Vanille is my least favorite because her voice is extremely annoying and she seems simple like a child in her dealing with things. I like all other characters but Hope being the second least favorite and then probably lightning.
 
I absolutely can not stand Hope. He is such a whiny character. Always whining and crying and he can not just suck things up and quit being such a little girl. I so hope he dies before the game is over.
 
Vanille.

Everytime she talks it makes me cringe. She has like a english accent mixed with something else and most of her "sentenses" are eithe0r phrases or incoherent. Everytime I watch a cutscene its unbearable, except when she is the narrator.
 
So far I don't like any of the characters. For a game that's supposed to be story driven and supported by a cast of strong characters, I sure find it hard to relate to any of them.

Lightning... is a a cold bitch. She's way too stuck up and distances herself too much from everyone.
And when she ditches Hope in that wasteland, it was like WTF, you don't ditch a 10yo boy to fend for himself in the middle of nowhere, cuz God knows Hope is a pussy and can't do shit for himself.
I get it, she's a hardass but she doesn't need to be so disdainful of the people who're trying to help her.

Snow... is just a lovedrunk idiot who calls himself a hero but get's his ass handed to him by a woman every other moment.

Hope... is a lil pussy. He's also pretty emo. His mom was pretty baller tho.

Vanille... needs a voice actor that isn't from Alvin and the Chipmunks. I like her voice as the narrator, but definitely not in game. Oh, and the way she runs....
And the lcie mark right below her ass? Comeeeonnnn, silly Japanese people
. I do like her attitude however.

Sahz... is totally useless in combat, and only slightly effective as comedic relief. Black dudes and silly one liners are getting pretty cliche by now.

I'm only 6 hours into the game, so hopefully everyone starts bonding and I start seein the better side of these characters.
Overall though, it seems like the women are more powerful in this game. Like we have Snow who's the talk and Lightning is the walk. Hope is all negative and emo whereas Vanille is positive and outgoing. Sahz comes off as pretty clumsy, and although I haven't gotten Fang yet, she seems like she would outshadow the guys as well.

At the moment I'm a bit put off by Hope.

I actually liked him at first, but now he's just gotten annoying.

He's constanty a downer and it's getting a bit depressing watching him. =/

Also Snow.

I thought I was going to really like him. Sure he's hot, but he's so annoying! Always screaming out Serah's name when he knows very well
that she's a freakin' crystal and can't respond. <_<
