just a couple of ideas for a few "afterword" story points i thought of a while back after i beat the game recently(for the 10th+time)

1) Selphie and Zell try a relationship but fails miserably and Zell *agreeably* lets Irvine go out with her

2) Rinoa is possessed by another evil Sorceress that preceded Ultimecia(i think her name was Adel) and the rest of the crew (including Seifer, Fujin, and Rajin) have to find and kill Adel to un-evil Rinoa

Uhm was not Adel destroyed when they de junctioned Rinoa from her?
Adel transfers her powers to Rinoa and then dies.....I dont think that idea would work in a afterword story since she wouldnt exsist

What I am imagining, after the game;

Ultimecia was alive because in the future that Squall saw Edea took Ultimecia's power (which actually happened in the past)

Squall gathers the gang to end the chain. Then Squall needed the help of everyone who lived in the orphanage

Rinoa had to be left because they wanted to prevent her from being posessed by the Sorceress again.
But as a replacement for Rinoa, they need another member to be a part of the team. So they had Xu instead.

Seifer learned a new limit break will summon Raijin and Fujiin as back ups.

and since the new Sorceress power was unbeatable, Laguna had to assist his SeeD son Squall to his mission. Which gives hive a new limit break called RenzokukenXDesperado which is a combination of pulling trigger and slashing in an incredible speed were in the end of it will throw a grenade and will cause explotion.

Xu's Limit will call Balamb Garden and the SeeDs to attack an enemy...


sigh...I hope I have a chance to create my own FF char

Rinoa leaves Squall for Seifer, seeking a more thrilling lifestyle. The two relocate to Deling City where they settle down and have a few children.

After a few years, Seifer gets a brain tumor and ends up passing away as the children enter their teens, causing Rinoa to fall into serious depression and start abusing various narcotics. Her children are consficated by the Garden Faculty as she is now an unfit parent. This series of events only worsens her depression, leaving her to commit suicide.

At the funeral, Squall is nowhere to be seen.

Here are a few thoughts Ive had over the years:

Sqaull takes the Ragnarok and creates a international shipping company administered by Quistis.

Zell goes of to the Deep Research Center and tries to fix it up and get it moving again to create a new Garden.

Slephie and Irvine move to farm in the fields of Trabias north wastes where Irvy conducts trail tours of Lagunas adventures in trabia, while Selphie stays home and conducts research about the effects of GF usage. Also Irvine runs a shooting club

Rinoa acts as the ambassador to Esthar from Galbadia and has grown very influential, being a sorceress and a Daughter of a former General gets you great respect in Esthar.
Is also engaged to Sqaull but is jealous of the time he spends with Quistis on the running of the business. Bitch slapping ensues.

Laguna Remains as president of Esthar and opens the borders of Esthar to the world and ends up falling in love with the Queen of Cards and Esthar went to war with Centra

Kiros and Ward opened a Bar/Gym in Winhill.............Yeah.

Edea and Cid reopened the Orphanage with the backing of SeeD, taking the truly gifted students to teach them.

Seifer Fujin and Raijin founded a Security Firm called, "SeiFuiRai" it was Raijins Ideas ya Know

Ellone met that dude who used to run the Forest Owls........the guy who had the Shiva Card?......Zone!!!! and she slapped him when he tried to pick her up in a bar, he was found the next day hiding in a toilet.

Dr. Odine built a Large hadron Collider around tears Point correctly proving "Hiz theory of ze existenze of Gravitonz".Dr.O also had a fling with Dr Kadowaki. They play Cribbage with Cid and Edea once a month.

Lol Pete that was awesome.

Squall and Rinoa get married and relocate to Deling City. Carridine starts having thoughts of his daughter (Rinoa), and Squall starts getting moody. A huge fught ensues. Squall and Rinoa end up leaving Deling City and decide to move to FH, where they go all out with their newly found privacy and have hot, intimite sex for hours on end.

Rinoa ends up pregnant with twins and they're still as "Hot n heavy" as they were before.

Quistis is now a Dominatrix. She accidentally whipped one of her students with her whip and at first, questioned why the guy she whipped made a cute sound, but after numerous 'counselling' sessions, Quistis and the guy soon started having an illicit relationship.

Balamb Faculty still doesn't know.

Zell and the Pigtail girl are still a couple. Although his life isn't as perverted as the others, instead he's now as fat as a fat chocobo. His insatible appetite for hotdogs and spaghetti combines with the amount of free-time he has, has also contributed for his obesity.

The Pigtail girl forced him to go on a diet and made him go on a weight loss program. Zell is now literally a crybaby once again.

Selphie and Irvine are travelling the globe, but Irvine is impeding the progress by insisting on spending a night at every inn/hotel they encounter. selphis is less 'energetic' now because of him, but they are still very much in love.

selphie also found Irvines hidden stash of 'Girl nextdoor' mags and burned them on the spot.

Edea and Cid are now living back at the old house, it's refurbished and it now a mansion. They've parked Balamb and Galbadia garden behind the house, near the beach, because Edea and Cid still have the whole 'parental love' thing going on.

Laguna and Elone went to visit Raine's Tombstone after the Ordeal, only to find Raines coffin dug up. they ran to Windmill to ask wtf happened, then Raine came out of their old house. Laguna just stood there, then one of the villiagers came out and told him that it was all a joke, and that what he thought was a corpse, was nothing but a mannequin, and that they had Raine escorted out in the middle of the night.

Laguna went insane and shot down every last person except for Elone and Raine. Galbadian Soldiers found him with the help of Kiros and Ward and they locked him up in Galbadia prison. Elone and Raine still love him very much though.

We seem to have gone of Topic............but in a good way

Im off the opinion FFVIII has massive potential for a spinoff or 3?>
it has the characters and the weapons and back story, Laguna of on his adventures would be alot of fun. sure we know about some of it but look S-E turned the flashback in FFVII into?

Crisis Core.

SeeD has great potential for a spinoff Series, its hard to come up with a story of global conflict with out treading over so much worn ground but Elite Combat Specialist sounds like there is room for a little more than what we got in FFVIII.

I'm not sure it has much potential for a sequel, if that was what was being asked. Since most of what drove the plot, ie Squall and Rinoa who are very much the Ross and Rachael of Final Fantasy, and the idea of fate, is resolved. And Squall and Rinoa will get married and live happily ever after as will Selphie and Irvine, because that is how these things always end.

This may sound a little mean But I've always pictured Rinoa loosing control of her powers, and then Squall dieing trying to protect the world and her, but before that Laguna will tell him the truth about him being his daddy, and fights and shouting matches will happen, and after Squall's death, Seifer would take over being the leader of the SeeDs, and he tries to calm Rinoa, who's incredibly ill, but Rinoa goes berserk crazy and destroys Balamb Garden with her magic, Seifer and controlled Rinoa and Seifer kills Rinoa tragically. Seifer snobs in regret that he had to kill somebody that he cared for, a funeral is held and everybody is in tears. Seifer heads into exile, as he can't bare to be around fighting, and war anymore, and he visits Squall's grave and apologies to him everyday. Also Selphie and Irvine try dating, but Selphie catches Irvine cheating on her behind her back, Irvine is kicked out of Balamb. Quistis feeling sorry for Seifer quits being a SeeD and travels the world trying to find Seifer, she eventuality finds him by a old cottage near Squall's grave, and they slowly form a romance and have a baby son. Also Zell and the pig-tailed girl get married, and his son grows up as Squall as his role-model and becomes a keen gunblader fighter.

I know, It sucks right ?

I think that is a really good idea. The turth is everyone hopes that is ends happy and it has which I am happy for. But if there was a spin off I think it was have to be tragic.

The endings you want are great but the sad and upsetting endings are so much more powerful and have a big Impacted

Ninja Yuffie, that would make sense if Rinoa was Ultimecia. She accidentally kills Squall and goes crazy. She remembers that Ellone was trying to change the past, but the past can't actually be changed, so she decides to combines the times together--anything to be with Squall again. That sounds... right. You know?
