New (and first) fanfic from me for FFVIII. Along with VI, I've played through this game so many times (completionist playthroughs are just the best) looking through every nook and cranny for snippets of dialogue I may've missed, or more insight into some of the characters. Once I realized that I was just looking for another story, I discovered fanfiction. After having read so many great stories contributed to and by the fandom, I decided to give back as well.
