Now that the manga has finished, a final Inuyasha TV series is planned to start airing this fall. There's about twenty volumes worth of material they can cover, so I don't see the new series ending anytime soon.

I remember that it was back in the eighth grade when I was thirteen that they started showing Inuyasha on Cartoon Network on Adult Swim. Now, I'm twenty years old, and going on my third year of college. I think I'll watch the new season just to see the anime finished. Is anyone else going to watch this?

You can bet your ass I'll be watching this. All I can say is it's about time. They really left it hanging with where they ended it and now that they're going to finish the anime I'm so excited about this. I finished the manga and there are lots of chapters I'm most eager to see done in animation. Thanks for posting about this Addle. It's really exciting news for Inuyasha fans such as myself.

Every year I've been at college I watch an anime series when I've had some free time. Last year I went through the Inuyasha, I will probably end up watching it to see the series completed, but I probably won't watch it until somebody uploades it to the internet. I'm not going to stay up until 11:30 on a school night just to watch it. :/ I'm also going on my 3rd year college and 8 o'clock classes... plus I love my sleep. XD

they are going to make an anime adaptation of vol. 36-56. which will be awesome. finally inuyasha will fingers crossed end right. i remeber the first time i watched inu yasha. i think i was waiting for gundam wing to go on. with nothing else to do, i ended up watching it. i was instally captured by the characters and at its good animations and drawings. i remeber freaking out my little brother. lol.

It's been a few years since I've ever watched Inuyasha, and to be honest, I don't feel like watching it anymore. The manga is done, so I'll leave it at that. I lost interest in the anime when depression hit me after what happened to Kikyo in the manga (Forgive me, I've always been a big fan of hers). Besides, I've pretty much moved on to other anime a long time ago.

Well this anime started back up today! Personally I think it's very exciting and the episode was amazing! There are so many manga arcs I'm itching to see animated. I honestly cannot wait to see what else they have in store for us! If you ask me, I think it's going to be pretty incredible and the art in this? O_O Wow. It's just beautifully done. It was really wonderful getting to hear all the old music from the show previously as well. I also liked that we got to see pretty much all the characters rolled into the first episode. From Inuyasha to Kagome, Miroku to Sango and Shippou, Kikyou and Kohaku, Naraku, Kaugra, Hakudoushi, and Kanna. It was just so cool! Sundays are going to really rock for me. :D Oh and I watch it here: http://animeblogz.com/inuyasha-kanketsu-hen-episode-1/

woot! me and Chris were just talking today about InuYasha needing to come back. I actually had NO idea it really was coming back. thats awesome. ^_^

Haha really? xD Yeah, they confirmed the continuation awhile back so it's pretty exciting! Looks like it'll be out on every Sunday as well. I'm really looking forward to seeing some of my favourite manga arcs animated!

Yeah, I've already watched both episodes. :P The 2nd episode actually made me cry, but that chapter in the manga also made me cry, so yeah...xD There's a lot of emotional episodes coming up soon though such as
Kikyou's death, the Meidou/Sesshoumaru and Rin arc where Rin dies, Kouga leaving for good, Inuyasha going through the test of whether he wants to live or die since Kikyou has died, etc...
There's going to be some really awesome stuff coming up! According to Viz there are going to be 26 episodes.

Yep 26. I never watched the ending to the original episodes, so I have to finish that up, before I watch the 2 new ones. I doubt there will be more then the 26 new ones for the series, so this will be it for sure I think.

Yeah it is. It's already been confirmed by Viz that this is the final season and there will only be 26 episodes to clear everything up I guess. I dunno, I'm a bit curious as to how they're going to fit all those important chapters in the manga into 26 episodes, but I have faith they'll be able to do it. I'll just be REALLY disappointed if they leave out some of my favourite chapters. Particularly chapters 467-471 and then 472-475 because those chapters are a really important test for Sesshoumaru and Inuyasha. So yeah...I'm quite anxious for next week's episode! Looks like it's gonna be a funny one. xD

Hm. I didn't know about it until I came across it by accident in recent news. I'll probably catch it if it screens on televisions here, but if it doesn't, I won't bother to search for it. Simply because the last time I watched the anime was like.. Man, I don't even remember.

Worse yet, I remember having watched the same episodes over and over, to see Inuyasha unleash basically the same skills over and over. If he had more skills, I think it'll be nicer, though more complicated as well.

Perhaps, I'll be more keen on the final showdown with that big bad guy in the show- I forgot his name, conveniently. It should be quite a climatic clash, I suppose.

You don't have to bother to search for it. It comes on directly on the Shounen Sunday website. It's officially subbed as well. Just go here: http://www.shonensunday.com/anime/index.php?sid=10

Also, give it a chance. They only got through about half the manga and tons of those episodes were fillers. The 'big bad guy' is Naraku. Anyway, this is the Final Act, as it states the name and only 26 episodes are going to be released to finish off the story.

Wait, the anime only went through half? It seemed so close to closing, I'm...shocked. XD

I think I'll have to add the manga to my list, once I manage to finish Fruits Basket. Another anime that only went halfway through the manga. I haven't seen any of it yet. I probably won't anytime soon. I'm the type of anime fan who gets attached to the voices. So I may have to hope and pray that it gets brought over to English someday and the same people who dubbed the original do it again. That's when I watched it on Adult Swim...several times, so that's what I'd only watch it in. I guess I'm just loyal like that.

I promised myself I wouldn't watch the anime ever again since I'm fully aware of the events that happened in the manga (Kikyou...........), but I think, as a fan of this anime in the past, I have an obligation to see it through 'til the end. Sad, really, how I just couldn't stay away.

Haha you're not the only one who feels that way, but I've been itching for awhile to see some of the stuff in the manga animated, so it's pretty exciting, I just wish like hell they weren't rushing it as much as they are. I mean the Meidou Zangetsuha felt like it was just kinda thrown on last episode. Fluffy-sama needs more screentime dammit! :gonk: And yes, Kikyou...;_; but truthfully it was for the best and I know I'm going to waaaaaaail when I see that episode, which looks like (judging from the title names) will be episode 8.

Damnit, it is ep. 8.............just saw it today, and I knew I shouldn't have, but my hands have minds of their own, and so they magically clicked the link. It......hurt.....a lot, since Kikyou is my favorite character (I don't care what the haters think!). It took all my willpower just to watch the whole thing. I cried for her, I cursed what happened to her and everything! *Sigh* made it this far.......I'll watch until the end (even though I couldn't care less anymore).

I was inconsolable for about 10 or 15 minutes after watching the episode. I knew it was coming because I read the manga a long time ago but still...it was so hard seeing it animated. Kikyou/Kikyo (I know her name is spelled Kikyou but people kept calling me "kick-you" <.<) is also my favourite character. I did a fanart of the scene if you'd like to go look here in my gallery: http://www.finalfantasyforums.net/artist-cafe/mandi-s-art-gallery-34283-page3.html#post634945

Anyway, really it was for the best that Kikyou did pass away, because for one, she was a body of holy bones and graveyard soil. No matter how hard she fought, Naraku always had the upper hand and he would've been doing everything in his power the whole time to try and get rid of Kikyou. She wasn't of the world, she suffered...constantly. She thrived to survive, dealing with Naraku's persistent miasma inside of her body and she was practically forced to live. As incredibly heartbreaking as it was, she really needed to be set free and sadly she wouldn't have survived the whole time because of the kind of body and life she was living. Anyway, it was very sad and next episode is going to be sad as well considering how much of a massive breakthrough this is going to be for Sesshoumaru what with Rin and all. His mom is GORGEOUS btw. <.<

I know that it was for the best that Kikyou pass on, but that doesn't exactly lessen the impact of losing her (Course, I'm sure InuxKag fans are jumping for joy.....curses). Still, I'm happy that she died an ordinary woman, something she wanted for so long but could never attain (Naraku the evil bastard saw to that). And, Inuyasha was with her, too. It brought me some sense of warmth, to know she died in her love's arms. Inuyasha won't forget her. I mean, who could forget a true first love?

Anywho, the next episode does look interesting. And, Sesshomaru's mom is hot! You'd have to be kind of blind if you don't notice. But, anyway, we'll be getting more insight on his feelings for Rin, I guess (I'm talkin' platonic!). Sesshy is just a big softie at heart, even if he is in denial about it.

PS - Epic fanart there! I think it sets the mood for what was happening.....
