Help Final Ultimecia - life and tips?

i didnt try scanning her, would that work?

i took out 420,000 HP of her and still died. I wasted so much time using curagra.. i dont have many megaelixirs and don't know where to purchase elixirs. i need to stock up on auras - do u know where the best place to grab those?

how do you get more heros and holy wars. i need them

any other tips on beating her. and how much life does the final ultimecia have. i beat the first three parts

If you have the Bahamut card and learnt the card turning into items ability with the Tornberry summon, you can change it into a 100 mega-elixirs, which would be much more handy than the ordinary elixir ! If you don't suggest heading to the secret station on the end of the world map [ It doesn't show on the map, it's hidden but keep on flying south till you find a station in the middle of nowhere ] and fighting Bahamut and gaining his card, then going to the place that kind of looks like a kite near Edea's orphanage and the White SeeD Ship where Ellone was hiding, and doing the Tornberry challenge and getting the Tornberry GF, and learning the Card- Item ability.

Once you have the 100 mega- elixirs, make sure that one person on your strongest team has the item ability, so he/ she can use them during battle. Anybody but Squall. Also if you have the Revive ability and the Recover Ability [ Revive- Alexander GF, Recover Leviathan I think xD] and give those abilities to the two other members that don't have item. Revive will be able to bring back somebody quicker than a Phoenix down and Recover think that either helps with healing or curses can't remember..

If you don't have them or didn't get the Alexander or Leviathan it's okay if you bring plenty of phoenix downs and remedies along for the final battle, just use Haste magic so somebody can be quick to revive to heal during the Final Battle...

Think you can get Aura magic, from Aura stones which you can pick up from fighting monsters in Esther and the Lunatic Pandora[I think xD] so you might have a few Aura stones in your Item box, you only really need to use Aura on Rinoa and Squall but only if you have the Lionheart gunblade, if you don't don't bother with Squall and just focus on Rinoa. During battle keep on curing/ healing Squall and the other strongest person in your party, but keep Rinoa alive during the battle as long as you possibly can. Bring her along with you to the Final Ultimeca. Rinoa is your Kamikaze Solider during this battle.

During the Final Ultimeca battle use the 100- Mega elixirs to heal people quickly in time, and leave Rinoa alone and make sure she Aura equipped on her. Even if she has 1 Hp left, the lesser HP she has the better because it means a more of a chance she is going to dish out her heavier limit breaks during this battle and unleash 36- 45, 000 HP each time she does her Limit Breaks. If Rinoa dies, use a phoenix down and sometimes don't use Aura if you don't have enough, or can't find anymore Aura Stones because there is a high chance that she is going to whip out a limit break without Aura equipped on her, if she doesn't limit break don't panic and just use it as a chance to heal Squall or the other party member in the team. Before you head into the Final Castle again, make sure you have Rinoa's later and more powerful Limit breaks before heading in [ Because I'm not speaking about Angelo Cannon here !

During the first battle Ulitmecia will pick people at random, if Rinoa is one of your weaker characters and she appears first go reset the console and try again. If she is one of the strongest keep her in, and make sure she stays alive during all the battles.
Suggest not making her, your Kamikaze till after you fight Ultimeca's GF, because the Griever overdrive can sting heaps and it can sting more if one person is weak health.

And yeah, Rinoa should be your window to your victory !
Have forgotten how you gain Rinoa's limit breaks, it's been a long while since played. But think you can collect them by finding her Pet Pals Magazines around the world.

& Good luck, and hope you manage to get passed her one day, because she can be a really tough Final Boss to face. [ And, LOOONG..!]

EDIT- It sounds like your characters have low HP [?], Junction your GFs to Curaga or Tornado magic so they have more HP, change Curaga stones into Curaga magic to gain more spells. -^^-

Well, if you want to level up I'd recommend going to either "The Island Closest to Hell/Heaven" and have Quistis equiped with Initiative and have her health low enough for a limit. Since she will go first and there is generally only one monster during each battle, you can use degenerator on them and level up a ton and quickly. This is also a great place to stock up on powerful magic. Equip no encounters and just run around the islands constantly pressing "x"(on ps) and you'll eventually have 100 auras and other powerful magic like ultima, holy and meltdown and such. The islands are located on opposite sides of the map and near the edge of the map screen on each side, kinda close to the top/center area. As for heroes, you better get good at the card game xD Also, Recover is an awesome ability to have during the last fight....

I dont have bahamut, and i went online to find out where. so i went to the bottom left corner and after beating one red dragon, the second red dragon used breath to kill me

I'd LOVE to have 100 mega elixirs. I use Zell's limit break instead of Rinoas.

My question is.. for final ultimecia.. are there TWO ultimecias we should be attacking?

The bottom one and the top? I mean, i took out 420000HP from the final ultimecia. She started saying words (which from what I read means she is dying)

And I never have the time to heal someone because they get "absorbed into time".

I should definitely use triple and haste so that they go fast... but damn, she takes so much out, i spend so much time using curagras. I wish I had elixirs and X-Potions, which I do not have

100 mega elixirs would solve everything...

Don't level up, because the more you level up the harder she gets. " Monsters level up with you". Facing Final Ultimeca at level 99 is rumored to be near impossible..

Yeah, getting the Bahamut GF is quite tough can relate to your pain there. Try and use your GFs to block out the heavy attacks that the Red Dragons use. And use Shell/ Haste and protect. Though the Bahamut GF battle is a very tough battle to face..

Zell's limit break is good, but believe that Rinoa's can do more damage to Ulti.

Uh yeah, the Two Ulti's. Draw from the small one, so she doesn't use her magic and use that spell on the Final Ultimeca, the top/ bigger one. Don't worry about the small one and just focus on the bigger one. She is your main target. The aim is, a bit of race to draw the magic from the small Ulti before she uses it on you, and kills your whole entire party.. [ It's basically a race, probably to cause adrenaline during the Final Battle.]

Suggest before, giving your party members more health. You can do that, without leveling up and heading into the junction section and finding out what GFS highlight the HP box in the Junction page, if a GF is highlighting HP in bright white, equip that magic into HP. Then head into magic, and put Curaga spells under it. Or Tornado.
You can gain more Curaga magic, by turning Curaga stones into magic. You can do that with the item- magic ability that [think] Siren gives you. =)

Your main characters could have up to 9999 HP EACH !~~


Try again, using Rinoa's more powerful limit breaks once you have gained them. And Use Squall to attack, and it seems like Zell to heal and do haste/ shell/ protect magic.
The other characters, give them as much HP as you can possibly can via Junction and use them do powerful magic that you have in your magic box- ie Flare, Quake, Meteor
until they die./ Get taken away into Ulti's time zone. If your weaker characters get taken away, don't worry much and just keep on fighting on to attack/ heal. It's okay, they have been sacrificed for the greater good.

My Techniques, sound kind of sadistic..

So Give your main Squad high HP Via Junction !
Head to Heaven/ Hell Island and use toallimmortal's advice of getting deadly magic.
Give some of the super high magic to the weaker characters, and use them to blast out as much powerful magic as much as humanly possible.
Use Rinoa for Limit breaks, Zell for healing, and Squall for magic/ Gunblade attacks.
Draw the main spell from the little Ultimeca, before she uses it on you.
Use the draw'ed spell on the main/ big/ heavier Ultimeca. [ Not the small one]
Hopefully Squeal in joy, seeing Ultimeca blow up into several bits and watching her be Finally defeated ! ^^

When Ultimeca speaks about random things, it means that your close to victory !
Which means that you were really close before, so don't give up/ keep going !~~

I leveled all my characters up to 99 not realising that and couldn't beat her. Ended up watching the finale on youtube. Not fun to go through the whole game and stumble at the last part.

What does Final Ultimeca do to you at level 99 ? / Is curious. ( Like spells and such.)
Ah, that sucks heaps. Knew somebody who did the same thing, that's how knew about the Final Boss trap. Is going to give you REP, because it must of taken alot of effort and determination to get everybody at level 99 and not get awarded for it. =[ Think that's a big negative of FF8..

Well, I always have all my characters at 100 by the time I get to her and I personally think she's extremely easy. Of course, I also have all the powerful magic, the cards that mod to heros and megalixers, and I use Recover. You must heal the party you want to keep or they get absorbed and then you'll be trapped with a weak party. Also, if you can make a member invicible, she won't be able to kill your GFs and you can get Doomtrain on her ass xD I think she's one of the easiest boss battles in FF, but the first time I played when I was like 15 I had a hard time with her. Also, the magic you can draw and cast from her lower half is called Apocalypse. I believe she can still use it on you even when you use it so be careful. And when she starts rambling, I'd aura up Squall and let him take her out with Lion Heart.

I beat the game just now!!! It was a one hour battle! Beat her the second time. The first time I faced her, I forgot to put STR+40% and STR+20% on Zell. It was Str + Bonus and something else. Which is why Zell ended up being weak.

I started leveling up a bit, and bought Zell's Best Weapon (My friend went online to find out which tools I needed). I also spent an hour fighting all those Tomberrys to get the GF.

ULTIMECIA BATTLE:

You won't believe this: I basically leveled up Zell to 45, Squall was at 71ish, Selphie was at 48 ish.. and Those were my main guys.. the others I put nothing on them

Ultimecia basically gave me Zell/Squall/Selphie as the random three! I was thrilled

I couldn't get any more mega elixirs, didn't have the refine tools. Only had 2 Mega Elixirs. I went to the island from hell and got a few more Auras (making the total about 20)

I used Triple Shells/Hastes - but this hurt because when i tripled the curagras it resisted and only gave them half (due to the shells).

Hell's Judgment brought everyone to 1 - while i "half curagra"d my party

1) Meltdown Ultimecia
2) I then did something I didn't do before - Zell Limit Break the bottom Final Ultimecia..

I had to hit her 1,000,000 HP to beat her. I had like four 12 second Zell Limit Breaks - which allowed me to hit her about a few hundred thousand HP every time.


I basically used a few heros during Griever.. and used two megaelixirs.. then my only way to heal was curagras (triple) which brought people up to 2,500 HP each...

Used like 6-7 Auras on Zell to do all the limit breaks to KILL Ultimecia Finally

I think this was easier once I leveled up a bit, increased the strength.. and was lucky to have the 3 toughest people start...

Adel was really difficult because my party was so weak. I had to cheat and use my ONLY Aura Stone for Zell to beat Adel.. without killing Rinoa.

Nevertheless, I'm very happy that I beat the game. I dont think I'll go back to Bahamut, or fight that crazy Omega Weapon (haven't tried yet, but saw the videwo)
