Currently on numerous game sites, including joystiq, gametrailers, as well as few others I believe, there is a huge discussion about four guys named Tom, Dillon, Matt, Adam, and Cameron playing four 3D Zeldas in 48 hours: Ocarina of Time, Majora's Mask, Wind Waker, and Twilight Princess. They started playing 5PM CST Friday and ending by 5PM CST on Sunday.

I watched them play last night for about 4 - 6 hours last night and they answered 2 of my emails on the air live as well (which was really cool too - my city, question, etc).

Anyone been watching at all?

You forgot to mention that they're doing this for Penny Arcade's Child's Play charity, this is for a good cause. I heard about this and watched it for a little bit yesterday when they were on Majora's Mask. Currently they're on one of the Wind Waker bosses the now and I think they aren't going to make it, they started WW with 17 hours left and still had to finish MM. They've raised over $800 currently which is cool

It's giving me the desire to go through OoT and MM again.

No they weren't originally doing it for that as far as I know. They came up with the idea later on after they started I believe.

Yeah they won't make it. Majora's Mask kept freezing on them on the final dungeon and stuff - yet they were on the second half of the last of it which really sucks. The guy that was playing Majora's Mask was doing really bad - a lot of people were really ranting in emails unfortunately it was sad though. Wind Waker and Twlight's going to kill them.

They probably decided on that after you posted the OP sorry.

They've just gotten to Hyrule for the first time about an hour ago, WW can be done in 9/10 hours allegedly but sounds like MM has fucked them up. I think they've said they'll still finish them all even if it takes over the 24 hours, just depends if they can last that long.

I had it on whenever I was on the PC and saw a fair bit of the MM/WW playthroughs but was aiming to skip when TP was on since I haven't done much of that yet.

Went back on earlier and saw that they stopped without starting TP and don't think they even finished WW, it was a good attempt in the end though but some things weren't working for them

I watched for a brief amount of time. I think they were playing Wind Waker when I tuned in...

Not sure. They had just hit the $500 mark and were speculating about whether they'd reach $750 or not. I guess they made it in that sense.

It says on the site that they made over $1150. Pretty damn sweet.

They say they may have another attempt at some other point but I'd prefer they do something else like Metroid or Castlevania next time.

Yeah. While I love Zelda, watching someone else play it just isn't that entertaining.

Metroid would be better, I say...though there's a lot of random exploration that may get old.

Were the players allowed to use stratedgy guides?

No but they had all played the games before but you saw especially with MM that they didn't play them more than once or twice.

They're now right going through TP and hope to have it done within 11 hours. Looks like atm they're in the 1st dungeon.
