ORPG and RPB
Name: Galdor
Title: Pirate
Race: Chaos Elf - Imagine a typical high elf. Now add tribal tattoos all over their body, primarily red. Also place a necklace with a randomly cut crystal as the pendant.
Gender: Male
Age: 216
Appearance:
- Hair: Brown hair that, when down, comes to about mid neck length. The hair is typically straight. The hair is constantly changing how it is displyed, be it down, down and tucked behind the ears, or pulled back in a ponytail.
- Eyes: Red eyes
- Height: 5' 6"
- Weight: 120-140 lbs
- Complexion: Smooth and fair, the greatest oddity of Galdors complexion is his body covering tattoos which are all interconnected at some point. One could even say it was one giant tattoo. The tattoo fades back and forth between the colors blue and red depending if Galdor is on land or sea. Though Glador's face is scar free the occational scar on his legs, arms, and body can be noted. Some of these scars stick out, such as a deep line along his lower left ribs, but most are faded and only seen upon close examination.
- Build: When clothed Galdor appears to be thin and lithe. However with the removeal of his overly baggy clothing it is noted that Galdor is quite muscular, yet still retains his thin graceful figure.
- Noteworthy Features: In addition to the many scars and interconnecting tattoos Galdor always wears a necklace. The chain is made of a shining silver material and its pendent is a red crystal, cut as a hexagonal tube that ends in a point that is slightly off center.
- Attire: Galdor, on a typical day, wears overly bagging clothing. This clothing covers up most of his skin, generally only leaving his hands and face viewable. The reasons for such attire is never stated, though once people get to know Galdor they sometimes can guess as to way. Galdor also wears a bracelet from his first love that grants him the ability to breath underwater.
Personality: Galdor is, in all respects, a typical humanoid. He contains the emotions that all others do. However having left his home over one hundred years ago to become a pirate and a mercanary he has aquired a very different view of the world then the typical elven sociaty. He does not live with the pretense that elves are superior, however this fact is often overshadowed by his sometimes smug and know it all attitude.
First Impression: First impressions of Galdor generally result in a fight. This is not so much due to his apparence or attitude, but rather to the fact that he is known for both piracy and vigilante acts.
Weapon(s):
Galdor actually owns three sets of katanas, though he never carriers more than two sets around. He wears one set on his waist and the other on his back.
Set 1: Darkfang and Whitefang - Katanas that Galdor obtained from the original founder of the first Chaos Elf city, Eldar. These blades seem to be embodiments of chaos themselves. For one is made of pure evil and the other of pure good. On any normal creature both would be only as effective as a normal weapon, however on demonic and celestial creatures alike these blades have a very different effect. The good katana, Whitefang, heals celestial creatures while the evil one, Darkfang, heals demonic ones. Likewise Whitefang saps the strength from demonic creatures just as Darkfang saps the strength from celetial beings. Neither of these weapons can be weilded without their counterpart and their additional effects on demonic and celestial creatures only come into effect when they actually touch the creature.
Set 2: The Chaos Blades - Swords passed down through Galdor's family, these blades were given to him upon returning home once before. The blades are said to be gifts from the gods, though it is unclear if the myth is true. Still these blades glow brightly red with fire and lightning when unsheathed.
Set 3: Vampiric Water - Galdor has had two loves in his life and both of them have come to die. In honor of their deaths Galdor produced two katanas and often refurs to them as an embodiment of his love. These blades properties are not clear, if they have any at all, but still it is not uncommon to see Galdor both carrying and using them.
Armor: Galdors armor is simple yet effective. On the lowest level he wears a lightweight mithral shirt. Above that is a leather vest with matching pants, made from the scales of five dragons which he killed many years ago with some friends. His final piece of protection is a magical cloak. Though the cloak itself does nothing more than act as a piece of cloth in the way of whatever seeks to hit him, it does mend itself, becoming a full cloak once again no matter how badly it is cut, burned, or damaged.
Magic:
Lightning Bolt - Much like a Drow's racial ability to create a ball of darkness, Chaos Elves have the ability to fire a bolt of lightning from their dominant hand, or both if ambidexterious. This ability comes directly from the necklace they wear and though the amount is essentually unlimited it does drain energy from their crystal back home. This is an effect that is less desireable than death in some cases.
Abilities/Skills: Over Galdors many years of life he has aquired many items. These items he stores in the pockets of his cloak. In them is contained countless treasures and items usable in battle and daily life. From coins to ancient artifacts Galdor has it all. Sadly one often finds Galdor digging through his seemingly endless pockets (sometimes for hours) looking for the item he desires.
Quick History:
Galdor was born to a noble Chaos Elf family on an island. There he was raised and aquired the dream to one day sail the seas. At the age of 80 Galdor left home as a sailor. On his travels he often came into contact with a mermaid named Isabella. The two fell and love and it was at this time that Galdor, mearly 95 years old, renounced being a pirate. He bought a house along the shore and spent his time with his love, when he wasn't working at the docks.
On the twos year anniversry Galdor came home to find a presant and a note. It read that he was to wear the gift, a simple silver bracelet, and meet his wife underwater. Slipping on the bracelet and swimming to the location designated, Galdor realized he now had the ability to breath underwater. Tragically as he came to the location he found his wife murdered and left floating on the ocean's surface. Vowing vengence Galdor buried his wife and left his home, taking up the life of a pirate.
Many years passed and Galdor quickly became not only famed and rich, but also known. Through his contacts he discovered who killed his wife and encountered them about their misdeeds, killing them each as slowly and painfully as possible.
At the turn of 127 Galdor met his second love, a vampire named Direa. The two fell in love quickly, but it too was not ment to last. A few short months later it ended with her dying on one of their adventures.
During the short time the two had together they met with a demon man named Kain and the three of them together stole the fastest ship on the ocean. In addition to this they slayed five dragons, demons, and many men. Upon Direa's death though Kain and Galdor were split apart, Galdor returning to his family for some time.
The two met again many years later, but once again they were not ment to be united, for Kain was returned back to Hell. Knowing Kain would be back Galdor continued to travel the world with his sister Eve at his side.
