What games have you bought that you really wanted to play and then never touched again??

for me it was:
Sly Cooper Collection,
Sakura Wars,
halo 1 - 3
Rune Factory 2,
Zack and Wiki,
Little Kings story.

there are more but I can't remember
I am really ashamed that i haven't touched any of those but omgggg so many games keep coming out, I can't keep up!

Oh I have a bunch D= Just haven't had time to start playing them lately, but I got them used for dirt cheap so I couldn't pass them up :gasp:

FF1 and 2 Dawn of Souls (GBA)
FFIII (DS)
Children of Mana (DS)
Zelda: Phantom Hourglass (DS)
Magna Carta (PS2)
Rogue Galaxy (PS2)
Phantasy Star Universe for PS2 (actually got 30 minutes into it, but the disc was defective, and after I exchanged it I haven't had time to play it again)

I really need to play all these before I get any more, but I'm already in the middle of 4 other games on the DS, one PS1 game, and 2 SNES games that I have to finish first :gonk:

ugh me too, I am juggling my time between like 4 games atm, DKCR, Epic Mickey, Final Fantasy 9 and Blazblue D: not fair, not enough time

I Have purchased only 2 games that I havent played.

I got WWE Smack Down here comes the Pain in 2003 and didnt play it for 3 months after I got it, and then it happened again last year in February with FFXIII.............I just couldnt play it, I was not excited by it like other FF games.

No Rogue Galaxy for you yet Gamingway?:srsly: you need to remedy that ASAP

Ive got WET, WoTL, FF2 (ive tried to play it, I really have :sad3:) Oblivion, Unlimited Saga (with reason, thats just fucking shit) All of which Ive played like, 5 m,inutes of and then never touched them since. Oh Dragon Quest 4 as well. And FFXI.

Ihave no excuse :sad3:

I'm horrible at purchasing games and playing them through. I buy them figuring oh I'll have time to play them during summer break, when I'm done with school, etc...and I never really find the time to play them like I want to..so they just pile up.

For my PS3:
Little Big Planet
Call of Duty World at War
For my Xbox 360:
Dragon Age Orgins
Grand Theft Auto San Andreas (for the original Xbox)
Oblivion: The Elder Scrolls IV
Halo 3
Perfect Dark: Zero
Need for Speed Undercover
Prince of Persia
Grand Theft Auto IV
Eternal Sonata
Kameo Elements of Power
The Bourne Conspiracy
Army of Two
For my DSi:
Mario and Luigi Bowser's Story
A couple of Harvest Moons
Final Fantasy Tactics
Probably more... :gasp:

Nowadays I don't tend to buy games on impulse, so I have a much better track record of playing the games I buy recently than in the past. I used to buy a lot of rather inexpensive PS2 games back in the day, such as:

+ Call of Duty 3 - No, no, just no. Never again. Played a tiny bit of it and I decided that I hated it. A FPS set in WWII. I underestimated just how much I would hate it.

+ The Sims: Bustin Out - Where has it gone wrong with this? How can playing God just seem so...dull? This bored the heck out of me and I've never touched it since...a few years ago?

+ Tiger Woods PGA Tour 2007 - It was cheap at the time I know, but it's another really boring kind of game that I wanted to like. It's golf. It bores me in real life anyway. What was I thinking getting a virtual golf sim?

+ Prince of Persia 2 - Didn't like this one considering I rather enjoyed the first one. I got stuck somewhere as well and haven't laid a finger on it since.

+ Tomb Raider: Angel of Darkness - The worst entry into the series. I probably don't need to say anymore about that.

+ Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas - I kind of liked Vice City more than this one. While I love the open world nature of the game and how vast the game world is, it gets really dull quickly once the initial anticipation wanes.

+ Gran Turismo 4 - Yeah, got bored with this. This will probably stop me from getting GT5 as well.

+ Kingdom Hearts - I have never actually properly had a good go at this. I have no time to.

+ The Golden Compass - I just bought a movie tie-in game to a film of a book (what is with the name change anyway?) I really enjoyed. While it doesn't seem an awful game, I lost interest after a bit.

I have a few. Star Ocean III Till the End of Time. Havent touched this yet though I really want to. I really cant find time to play it at all with so many games all over the place.

Tales of Symphonia Dawn of the New World. Sheehs I touched this for like 5 mins and never went back to it. I ABSOLUTELY loved Tales Of Symphonia and yet I havent touched the seque since. Eh I blame the games I got on 360/ps3 tha tprevente dme from toucjing it further. I Will go back to it though.

Tomb Raider Anniversary on Ps2. Played it for 5 mins.. got stuck(well not really) I thought I was stuck so I just put it down. I dodnt think Ill go back to it really. Not like I play ps2 anymore.

I have a few more that I cant think of at the moment..

+ Kingdom Hearts - I have never actually properly had a good go at this. I have no time to.

Oh nooo, this makes me sad! I hope you have time to play it someday!
I want to replay it....but also have no time and need to finish my list of games never touched... :(

I remember a few more to add:
Fat Princess,
Final fantasy 8,
Sonic Colours, (Not as awesome as everyone says!!)
Sonic 4 (also not as awesome as reviews said it was)

Resident Evil 4 i bought it because I liked the case, never played it <_<

Wii Fit :wacky: Wanted it for ages, had a couple goes on it, got bored and ive not touched it since

Wii Fit :wacky: Wanted it for ages, had a couple goes on it, got bored and ive not touched it since

I'm obsessed with Wii Fit these days. :wacky:

I used to buy games on impulse a lot but I'm getting better. Here are a few:

Fallout 3: I bought this because I heard it was really good. I never played the first two. I've put it in the 360 and turned the game on and that's as far as I got. One day I will play it though. D=

Dragon Quest IV: I played this one for about five minutes but got distracted by Etrian Odyssey.

Final Fantasy: Mystic Quest: I bought this with a whole bunch of other SNES games from a guy my brother worked with. I got a shitload of good games for like $10. :ohoho:
I never got around to playing Mystic Quest thought but I probably will in the future.

I've got a few. All PS2 games I ever bought I played, but since I've got the PS3 I've been awful for impulse buying games :gonk:

Uncharted: Drake's Fortune - I know, I need to finish it. I played the storyline for like a day and the single player is amazing, then I went back to online gaming  I prefer to play online with mates than do single player anything nowadays.

FFXIII - I think it's still sealed, no joke :wacky: bought it at the same time as I bought the PS3 and it's not even been taken out of it's case.

Command and Conquer: Red Alert 3 - I bought it because I LOVE the original on PS1, only to play it once and find out good graphics had taken over and it was so overly-complicated :gonk: really, really not keen.

Conflict: Denied Ops - I really should play it. I played the prequel on PS2 and loved it, but when I bought it I was only playing UC2, and now I only play cod, so this is another still sealed one :gonk:

LittleBigPlanet - my mate let me download it off his PSN account and I've played it once. It was alright but I prefer cod any day so I just play that instead :wacky:

I shouldn't buy games and not play them  When I think of the money I'd have saved if I didn't have the ones I just listed... :wacky:

Edit: Oh and Final Fantasy Tactics WotL on PSP. Played it for about 10 minutes and switched it off, such a slow paced game :gonk: it's not worth owt either so I can't even sell it, luckily I only paid a fiver for it.
And Formula One 2009 on PSP. it's a good game but the screen on that console is way too small for a game like that where you really need to concentrate on what you're doing :wacky: I never play the PSP anymore either, like, ever :gonk:

Oh and Final Fantasy Tactics WotL on PSP.

:rage::rage::rage: I want to play that so badly. But I don't have a PSP. :sad3:

Um, I don't think I've ever bought a game and not actually played it. But the closest thing for me would be Star Ocean The Last Hope. I got it at a reduced price... oh my days it's so shite.

I played it for a decent amount of time mind (10-20 hours maybe?), but I lost to some boss because I was trying to get to a save point and accidentally triggered a cut scene which led to a fight. :rage: Since then, it's just be gathering dust and I don't want to waste my time on it. In a way, it was sign saying "dude STOP". I'll probably trade it in next time I'm at GAME or something.

That's the only one I can think of right now. :hmmm:

ps3 games

saints row 2 - dunno why i even bought it, dont remember buying it either

tomb raider underworld - it was 3 quid on amazon........3 quid wasted

alone in the dark - it was 99p on amazon ¬___¬ 99p wasted ¬_¬

Clive barkers jerico? or something along the title of that - Again it was cheap on amazon and the review made it out to be a horror. Had one look at the case and went no thanks.

i think thats it. :hmmm:

:rage::rage::rage: I want to play that so badly. But I don't have a PSP. :sad3:

If you ever get a PSP you can have it :wacky: it's gathering dust.

But the PSP, I haven't played it since about April? I bought it to play Dissidia and Crisis Core, not much of a Dissidia fan and I got so fed up of the side mission thingys on CC I stopped playing that as well :wacky:
So yeah, that's a CONSOLE I bought and never touch. Waste of money, and now they're worth about half of what I paid for it... I might sell it :hmmm: I dunno.

Rogue Galaxy - Ehhhhhhhh

Jet Set Radio Future - I actually enjoyed it but I lost my copy =[

WWE Smackdown Here comes the Pain - The nail in the coffin of my dislike for wrestling :wacky:

Fifa 06 - See above but apply it to football

My Sims Wii - Loading kills (enjoyment) Please send £3 a month to your Gaming Company to help prevent this

Ty The Tasmanian Tiger - Just fancied a normal run through level game, so I sorta bought it on impulse. Oh well.

The Godfather - It was enjoyable...I dunno why I haven't played it tbh o_O

Disney's Dinosaur - I hate dinosaurs. I think mother bought it for herself but used me as an excuse to get it.

Escape from Monkey Island - ....Fffffffffff :rage: Damn brain wrecker :rage:

MK vs DC Universe - What were you smoking Mr Boon?

More to come most likers.

Oh yes, a few additions from other consoles:

PSP

+ Blade Dancer - I didn't actually buy this. It was given to me as a gift, which is kind of going against the thread title, but I don't care. It's a very generic kind of RPG where everything is just bland. The main character looks like he escaped from the animated Avatar series or something.

+ FIFA 07 - Not the biggest fan of football at all, though the FIFA games have been really decent lately, but I did lose interest after a short while and errr...my PSP has died since then.

DS

+ Animal Crossing - £30. Thirty pounds. Thirty fucking pounds for this. £30 I could have spent elsewhere. I only got this a couple of years back because some magazine made a big song and dance about it. I hated it. Boring. Not even a game as such.

+ Final Fantasy XII: Revenant Wings - I bought this, played a bit, stopped for a while, played it again, stopped again. I haven't touched it in a while now, so I guess this can count. Ehh, this is ultimately not really kind of thing to be honest.

+ Sonic Chronicles - Unbelievably, I got bored of this shortly into it. As much as I usually love RPGs, I couldn't get into this. Sonic and RPGs aren't exactly a winning combination for me.

The two games that come to mind are Castlevania Lords Of Shadows for Xbox 360 and Goldeneye 007 for Wii, both of which I paid full price for which I normally don't do for games. I don't even pay more then $8 for a DVD movie anymore, let alone spend $50-60 for a game. But because I was kind of anxious to see if Castlevania could maybe get it right once more in a 3D like environment (although I had my doubts also) and I wanted to see very badly how this new Goldeneye was gonna live up to the infamous N64 Goldeneye.

Well Lords Of Shadow I played for a little while and then stopped. I don't know why but for some reason it's just hard for me to get around to playing a 3D Castlevania game, I don't know, maybe 64 and COD has something to do with why I have little faith in 3D castlevanias.

Goldeneye on Wii was actually a pretty decent first person shooter especially since they're far and few in between for Wii, but if I had to pick between the two N64>Wii. In all honesty though, it's hard to compare the remake to the original because they feel like such different games. The game still remained faithful to the story of Goldeneye but the level design and characters are drastically different than N64 or even the movie for that matter. Don't really know why I stopped playing this, but eventually I'll probably get back to it.

Star Wars Knights Of The Old Republic on Xbox was another game I bought played a couple times and then that was it. I bought it about 4 years ago thinking it was gonna have a gameplay similar to Jedi Outcast or Jedi Academy (don't really know why) but I haven't really touched it since, despite the high remarks that game got.

Fable II on xbox 360 also was one I bought and didn't play for a while as I kept obsessively playing GTA Episodes From Liberty City on 360. Fable II was actually suggested to me and plus gamestop was having some used game sale so I bought it and thought why not?

Let's see. I have some games that I do that with. But most of the time, it's because I'm too preoccupied with other games. I'm not going to include anything outside of PS3, Wii, and DS.

Street Fighter 4 (PS3) - I obviously don't play it now since I got Super Street Fighter 4.

Star Wars: The Force Unleashed (PS3) - I beat it relatively quickly. Haven't really touched it much since, but I do want 2.

Most of my Wii games - I dunno, I love Nintendo, but for some reason, the Wii just doesn't hold my attention that much. I just got Metroid: Other M and Super Mario Galaxy 2 for X-mas, so I've been playing it a bit lately, but other than that, it has just kinda sat.

I tend to go through cyles with my DS. I'll play one (or more) of my Final Fantasy Games, but then I'll get bored and jump to one (or more) of my Pokemon games. When I get bored there, I'll go with something Mario, then I'll move to a puzzle type game. After that, it's back to Final Fantasy.

Command and Conquer: Red Alert 3 - I bought it because I LOVE the original on PS1, only to play it once and find out good graphics had taken over and it was so overly-complicated :gonk: really, really not keen.

That's just a crime to begin with, playing a C&C game on ANYTHING but a PC.

That's just a crime to begin with, playing a C&C game on ANYTHING but a PC.

Hahaha :lew: I've actually got the original C&C on PC AND PS1... and a fantastic game it is on both. But I don't really PC game, ever :wacky:
I just wanted to see what C&C would be like, a long time after the first one, on this generation console. And it was disappointing
