List the games that you haven't completed yet. Any plans to finish these games at all?

I've got a lot on my list. I'm very bad when it comes to completing my games.

[PS3]

Assassin's Creed II
- I still want to finish this sometime. I finished Brotherhood and really liked it.

Modern Warfare 2 - ...Yeah, no. =/

Borderlands - Pretty good game, but I'm not too anxious to finish the game either. Probably because I've no idea where I left off...

Skyrim - Yes, I definitely want to finish this, sidequests and all. Waiting for 1.4 patch!

Dragon Age: Origins - ...Nah. It was good the first few weeks I played, but I just don't see myself continuing with the game anymore.

Red Dead Redemption - Not really interested anymore, though I did enjoy the first two weeks of gameplay.

Fallout: New Vegas - Currently have been palying this game with my husband the past two weeks. Most likely will finish it soon.

-----

[XBox 360]

(I haven't touched my 360 for about a year because of red ring of death issues. It scratched my new Tekken 5 disc and since then I've been afraid to play my games.)

Infinite Undiscovery - I'm not even halfway into the game yet, but the control-mechanics kinda throws me off. I do want to finish it still though.

The Last Remnant - I was so hooked to this strategy game for months! I just need to beat the last boss and I'm done, but there's still a few unfinished business before I do that...which I've forgotten, unfortunately. I will finish this game sometime.

Lost Odyssey
- Very good and sad game, I'm halfway into it. I'll get to it sometime.

Star Ocean: The Last Hope - Still wanna finish this.

Tales of Vesperia - Still wanna finish this.

Fallout 3
- While I like New Vegas, I'm not sure I wanna finish this, only because it's a huge game...

-----

[PSP]

Dissidia - I'd like to complete this sometime, and I've been playing two-three times a year. It's one of those games I'll take to bed with me and play until I fall asleep. No wonder I never got around to finishing it... (and to think I almost bought the second game).

The Legend of Heroes: Song of the Ocean - It's an RPG, of course I'll finish it...sometime.

Star Ocean: First Departure - Yep.

Final Fantasy Tactics: The War of the Lions - I think I'm almost done with the game. Haven't played in a few years, but I might actually get back to it this week. Or next week.

-----

[Nintendo DS]

Final Fantasy III - I just need to beat Cloud of Darkness! But my friend borrowed it a few years ago and hasn't returned it. -.-

Dragon Quest IV - No plans at all.

Not gonna bother with PS2 games. I think the only game I might even consider is Kingdom Hearts 2.

Includes FF12.
The game definitely lacks character and plot developement.Probably because Matsuno left Square before it was properly finished.

I may replay it someday.

FFXIII.The final boss was too hard imo.I may finish it someday after I read about a strategy against him but I doubt I'll ever restart it.It lacks replayability.

Ps3- crysis2, LBP. I rarely buy ps3 games so if I buy them I know I really want to play and will finish them.

360- lost odyssey - ugly characters, boring story.
Mass effect 1, dragon age origins, gears of war 3, halo odst, halo reach, skyrim, MGS HD collection, and finally one of my first 360 games perfect dark zero.

My backlog? Let's take a look...

PS3

+ Star Ocean 4 - Oh, Star Ocean. How did it go so wrong? You have such a promising sci-fi premise, a very decent and polished combat system that is best showcased during interesting boss fights, and you're more of an actual RPG than FFXIII is by a mile. So why is it that I will have to force myself to complete the game now? Firstly, it's boring. I know I'm on Roak somewhere, but good lord, it's dragged on and on. I can't even remember what my overall goal is yet in this so-called story, and neither can I tolerate most of the characters. Tri-Ace has done an amazing job here of creating the most obnoxious cast of extreme-anime characters I have ever had the displeasure of coming across, and then there's Edge. A lead so irredeemable to the point of complete parody now. Good grief. I might actually trade this in.

+ Assassin's Creed Brotherhood - It was Xenoblade that swooped in and held my full attention just as I was playing through this game. It's been enjoyable, and there really isn't any reason why I shouldn't swiftly complete it once I get back home. Attempting previous missions to attain 100% synchronisation is an interesting addition, not that I will have the patience to attempt it, because time is precious and a ton of other games demand my attention.

+ Fallout New Vegas - I know I'm in Novac and I need to go underground when the Nightkins are. To be truthful, I'm not made of stern stuff, and I am genuinely dreading it. Yeah I know, I'll probably be made fun of for this, but I do honestly want to carry on and make it to the Vegas strip, because this is an interesting game and quite unlike what I usually play. xD

Wii

+ Xenoblade Chronicles - Gasp! I've been playing this for so long! Nearly 200 hours in! Why haven't I yet even finished it? To begin with, I've been VERY thorough in this game, practically doing as many sidequests as I possibly could rather than getting on with the main story. And then university started, and when I did go home for Christmas, the workload meant I had very little precious time to invest in the game. Also, I am actually near the end. It's just that the final boss with its cheerleaders enjoy kicking my arse at every opportunity, particularly in its second form. It may be an unfair fight, but at least it's worthy of being a final boss. And that music is godly. Literally!

DS

+ Sonic Chronicles - Boring, tedious, put me to sleep. Nein danke.

+ Final Fantasy Tactics A2 - A big disadvantage with these kind of games. They're so big, they're infinitely larger than my interest span.

+ Final Fantasy XII: Revenant Wings - I'm just not fond of the gameplay.

+ Dragon Quest Monsters: Joker - There is a pattern here.

+ Pokémon Diamond - This just confirms the fact that I've little actual interest and love for the Pokémon games.

PSP

+ Tactics Ogre: Let Us Cling Together - I can see this ending up with the same fate as Tactics A2. It's a huge game and it demands the patience of several saints and iron will to go on. Sadly I have neither, so despite how much I love this game and its story, despite naming my order of knights The Red Army, I can definitely see myself stopping at some point. I promised myself that I would persevere with this to the very end, largely because I love Yasumi Matsuno's work. To be fair though, I only recently got this game.

+ Final Fantasy II - Another victim to my short interest span. I don't know if I will bother going back to it.

+ Gran Turismo - Zzzzzzzzz...

GBA

+ Final Fantasy V - Zzzzzzzzzz, someone wake me up when the story actually gets interesting. Wait, what? I'm sorry, who's our main villain? A magical, sentient tree? What's next? A clown? And a long-haired mummy's boy? Oh.

-----------------------------

I know I've definitely missed some. I may want to go home to remind myself of the rest of the backlog I've forgotten to include. :mokken:

PS1

  1. Final Fantasy VII - I'm somewhere in disc 1 and plan to complete this within the next couple of months.
  2. Final Fantasy VIII - just about to start disc 4... I'm too lazy to play through all of those battles. :gonk:
  3. Final Fantasy IX - nearing the end of disc 3. I hope to complete this soon too! :)
  4. Vagrant Story - I bought this one years ago but haven't even started it! :ness: I hear it's fantastic, so with a bit of luck I'll get around to it.

PS2

  1. Metal Gear Solid 3 - bought this rather cheaply from CEX. I haven't played a MGS game properly yet and thought it'd be interesting to try something different to my usual RPG or Zelda game. ;))
  2. Valkyrie Profile 2: Silmeria
  3. Grandia 2, which my first boyfriend bought me. The battle system is far too slow for me, but the story does intrigue me so...maybe one day!

PS3

  1. Resonance of Fate - picked this up second hand a few weeks ago. The battle system is HARD but when I'm wanting a challenge, it's waiting for me. I certainly like the unique environments.
  2. Uncharted 2 which Chris gave to me as soon as I had finished UC3. I LOVE the series and he doesn't. I haven't actually started 2 yet though!
  3. Heavy Rain, which I'm borrowing from Chris.
  4. MetalGear Solid 4, which I'm also borrowing from Chris.
  5. The Sly Trilogy, a Christmas present I've only played for a few hours. I was far too excited for XIII-2 to focus on it. :x3:

PSP

  1. Final Fantasy Tactics
  2. Final Fantasy: Crises Core
  3. Star Ocean (the second I think)
  4. Valkyrie Profile 1

Gamecube

  1. Skies of Arcadia, also a gift from my first boyfriend. I've played a bit of this recently and it seems quite good so I will hopefully find the time to play it soon! :)
  2. Tales of Symphonia
  3. Baten Kaitos, one of my first RPGs after FFX! I'm a fair way through this but got stuck about 5 years ago...It's hard to get back into. :(

Wii

All of the games listed below were given to me as a Christmas present, bar Zelda. I asked for a few Wii games to persuade myself to finally start using the console. I hope to play them all soon!

  1. Zelda: Skyward Sword
  2. Xenoblade Chronicles
  3. Metriod Prime 3
  4. Metriod Other M

D.S/GBA

  1. Final Fantasy III
  2. Final Fantasy IV
  3. The second Layton Game
  4. Apollo Justice
  5. Golden Sun (GBA)

360

  1. Star Ocean 4, which I bought with my 360. I haven't played it since XIII came out... I'm intrigued, I suppose, but the negative criticism it receives makes me less curious about it than other games.
  2. Assassin's Creed 1, also one of my first 360 games... I haven't actually touched it yet. :/
  3. Red Dead Redemption - I love this game! For some reason, probably another game or a book, I stopped playing it after a while. I'm not even in Mexico! I hope to get back into this soon. :)
  4. Lost Odyssey
  5. Blue Dragon
  6. Dragon Age (which I'm not 100% certain about ever playing properly...)
  7. Mass Effect 1

Yeah... My New Year's Resolution was to play and complete a few of these before I buy more. I couldn't say no to XIII-2, but I have said no to a few games since. -_-

I really should get moving... But I want to gather all of the fragments in XIII-2 first! :( Am I an RPG nut or what? Playing the games I've collected over 6 and a half years is going to take me years!! :lew:

http://backloggery.com/games.php?user=xRyan45&status=1&console=

Pretty much all of the games listed on there (a few have explanations and how far I'm into the game), and more that I didn't remember to add to my backloggery. Helpful website as well. Let's you keep track of the games you're playing and how far you're into them :hmmm: I haven't really been in a game playing mood so I've been neglecting a few. Haven't touched Demon's Souls in a while, and I know I should probably get back to it :hmmm: And many more :gasp:

Metal Gear Solid: Peacewalker. the only MGS game that has not completely captivated me. I started playing it a few weeks ago, got a few hours in and just couldn't be bothered with it. I have no real intention to finish it.

Europa Universalis III: Downloaded it off steam. But I just can't be bothered getting into it. It seems really complex and I know that is supposed to be part of the appeal. But I have better things to do than learn this game.

Dragon Quest VIII: Started this game ages ago. It looks like it could be a great game but CBA at the moment. Maybe I'll give it another crack later on.

Devil May Cry Series: I got through most of the first game and I really liked it but I got stuck somewhere and I ended up putting the game down for a while. I may give it another try later.

I'm sure there are probably more. But these are the main ones which come to mind.

At the minute there are only a few that I can think of, though I'm sure there are many more

Uncharted
I hated this game in so many ways but I loved the characters and story line, apart from that cunt Elena obviously. I ended up in the final battle on the boat with Nevarre, and it was a tedious aggravating pain. I decided that I never really liked the game so I wasn't gonna bother wasting time finishing it. Funnily the second game is one of my all time favourites

Fallout 3
It just kind of bored me to be honest, I would wander around the map and try to get to a location only to find the paths blocked or impassable. Then I'd get shot to bits by a super dildo monster before I even saw them. The VATs system was kind of cool but not difficult to use, and boring after you realised it was needed for basically every battle

mass effect 2
i powered through the first one and started the second, but i haven't gotten that far. i've been playing it a bit less over the last week or so, so i'll probably end up stopping altogether sooner or later

dead space 2
like mass effect really. i powered through the first, then couldn't really be bothered with the second after i started it. i haven't touched it in ages.

i don't think there's really anything else other than those two...

Dissidia 2012 - eventually in the distant distant future

Star Ocean Last Hope - nope cant take the english voice overs. If I got a japanese version with subs then id most definitly finish it cause the gameplay is great.

Okami - I nearly completed but suddenly stopped because I lost interest around 2 years ago. Im going to have to play the whole thing again because I lost my memory card. I can just Youtube the story I had forgotten, so no problems there. So no, wont ever complete.

Oblivion - Yaaaa, wont ever complete this kinda game. All the side quests and just the amount of things you can do besides the main storyline keeps me from completing this one. Skyrim is also in the same boat.

Demon Souls - This game is addicting. Id like to play it again and complete it if I can ever get my hands on a PS3.

Thats all for now.

Xbox
  • Blue Dragon
  • Eternal Sonata
  • Star Ocean: The Last Hope

PSP
  • Dissidia Duodecim
  • KH: Birth By Sleep

That's pretty much it for now :)

Deus Ex Human Revolution
I have started this game twice now, but it has always been when I am playing another game so it gets sidetracked. Assassin's creed got in the way the first time, and then I would play Dead Space 2 at night. Then with college back I can only game at night so I'd play Dead Space 2, and if I tried to play Deus Ex too I'd end up muddling the controls for the games

I've realized that there are a lot of classic games that I have not completed, yet. As a kid, I rarely beat any of the games I had, so I figure I'll go back through and complete them.

SNES

-Donkey Kong Country 1-3

-Super Mario Bros. 1-3

-Super Star Wars

-Super The Empire Strikes Back

-Super Return of the Jedi

-The Magical Quest starring Mickey Mouse

N64

-Diddy Kong Racing

-Donkey Kong 64

-Gex 64

-LoZ: Majora's Mask

-Super Mario 64

Other than classic games:

Wii

-No More Heroes 2

-Tales of Symphonia: Dawn of the New World

-Super Paper Mario

PSP

-Metal Gear Solid: Portable Ops

-Metal Gear Acid 2

-Mega Man Powered Up

I've realized that there are plenty more games I haven't completed...

I've actually never finished The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, though I've watched the story on Youtube and such. I played it when I was a kid and quit for some reason or another at the end, and never completed it. I should do that.

Other than that I tend to obsessively finish all my games unless I absolutely hate them.

Haha. I have a huge problem finishing games. For a long time, I was buying up any game that I wanted to play which led to me starting a whole bunch but never finishing them. I'll just list the ones here that I can think of.

PS1:

FFV: I started this one a few years ago and I was really enjoying it. I would love to pick it up and finish it again. I wasn't that far into it so I'll probably just start over.

FFVI: Started it and had a lot of trouble actually getting into the game. I've heard such great things about it though that I really want to finish it and see what all the hype is about.

PS2:

Champions: Return to Arms: I really love the Champions of Norrath games. I have a two player game saved and I think we're about halfway through it.

Dark Cloud: I've restarted this game twice due to lost saves. It's a lot of fun and I never got far into it. I would like to finish it though.

Final Fantasy X: I actually finished most of the story on this. The game was saved inside Sin so I was close to the end. My brother decided to be an asshat and delete my memory card though. I already know what happens in the end but I still would like to complete the final battles.

ICO: About halfway through this one. I was really enjoying it but my fat PS2 decided to stop reading blue-disk games. I never got back to it when I got my slim PS2.

Xbox 360:

Assassin's Creed: I really like the story and idea behind AC. I think I've done three or four assassinations, I can't remember. I'd like to finish this one eventually.

Bioshock: Though the game gives me the creeps, I'm really enjoying it. Would love to finish it one day.

Lost Odyssey: This game is pretty depressing and I'm not a huge fan of the battle system. I love the music and the story though.

Tales of Vesperia: I'm not that far into this one but I do want to finish it.

DS:

Chrono Trigger: I started a game on PS1 at some point but didn't get too far. I'm pretty far into the DS one and have been playing it recently. I'm really enjoying it.

Etrian Odyssey: I bought these games out of order. I started the third and then picked up I and II so I went back and started the first one. It's a very interesting game and I would like to finish it.

Borderlands 1- I loved this game, but haven't gotten around to completing it. I'm around the part after you defeat 9 toes.

Assassin's Creed - I haven't completed any of the games, I've been too busy on Dragon Age and Starcraft to do so.

Skyrim - I didn't like this very much. I'm not very far into it, but I find it extremely boring, and the grinding is stupidly tedious in some cases.

parasite eve 2 - i will compelte this seriously as everyone i have asked says is an amazing game

wild arms - old school rpg's are just cool

moder warfare 3 - yeah im working on it

PS1:
Final Fantasy VI

I am utterly stuck on this game. I'm so close to the end I can hear it breathing, but unfortunately, I think I might've abandoned Cyan on that floaty dungeon, cuz I'm one character short - I don't think it's possible to win with one guy missing... Maybe I should just restart the game.

FF6 on PS1 - Started it up numerous times but never finished it. Got to the World of Ruin (?) but never any further.
Deathtrap Dungeon on PS1 - Love and hate this game at the same time.
Pharoah on PC - played on this for HOURS!!!! Does this game ever end?
Metal Gear Solid 2 on the PS2 - Didn't play on this for too long but did quite like it. Don't know why I didn't continue.
FF Tactics on the Gameboy SP - Got a bit bored of just fighting over and over again.
Star Ocean: TLEOT on the PS2 - Couldn't get into this game. Thought it had amazing potential after the first couple hours of play but then it sort of petered out in my opinion.

Chrono Cross (Got stuck at the very end)
Chrono Trigger (with so many multiple endings, I haven't finished ONE of them. I feel so ashamed)
Legend of Zelda (I can't figure out this giant turtle thing)
FF 5 (silly mimic monster )
Final Fantasy Crystal Bearers (My poor, poor ego)
Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles (I can't figure out what to do!)
