Accompanying Birthweek this year, the gaming clan is back for more action! For now, we will have one clan for you all to join to avoid inactivity as much as possible. Once we get a good idea of the numbers and get things running as far as competitions & ideas, we can decide whether to bring a second clan soon. But let's give this about a month at least before we take that next step. I want to make sure that you guys are serious with the gaming clan. In order to ensure an active gaming clan for this community, we will nominate a leader to lead the clan. (More on that later).
If you are interested in being part of a game clan, please be aware of a few things:
Activity on your part is required. Similar to the GFX clans, you are responsible for your own activity, and with that, comes a post requirement. You must post three times every week...or two weeks, to make it less strict. But this will encourage activity overall.
You must have at least 50 posts in order to join.
You must own a gaming console (PC counts) with online capabilities. This will allow you to play and compete with other players here.
The clan (which will be created once we elect a leader) will be password-protected, and you must not give out the password to anyone. That will be the clan leader's job.
General forum rules apply to the clan.
So with that, let's proceed with the sign-ups.

What is your favorite genre?
Why do you wish to become a member of a gaming team?
Clan Leader sign-ups (be sure to fill out the little form above first):
If you are interested in becoming the clan leader, you will be included in the Clan Leaders usergroup, which will enable you to moderate threads in this section. The GFX clan leaders and gaming clan leaders will pretty much share the same usergroup, except with different permissions applied. You must show good sportmanship with your fellow gamers (though this applies to everyone else as well), and make sure that you will be on your best behavior as a clan leader. If we start to see that you are becoming too involved in a negative manner with other members in the clan, we might have to look for another leader.
With that said, please take the time to fill out this additional form:
+ Why do you want to become a clan leader?
+ How active do you plan to be?
+ If you see that a member has been inactive for weeks, what is your course of action?
+ What can you bring to the gaming clan as a leader? Please be specific with any ideas or suggestions. Keep in mind that the clan will start from scratch, so a lot of the ideas and build of the gaming clan as a whole will mostly come from you. (What kind of competitions do you plan to set up, and how will it work? Will there be leaderboards?) Basically, lay out the plan for us to see and this will greatly determine whether you have what it takes to lead a clan.
If you would rather not submit your form here, you may PM me and I'll review it with Jeff and Dan.
I will leave this thread up for a few days, maybe a week. Once we select a clan leader, that member will be in charge of things around here.
