Gaming Shocking Buy's!

Well then people, if you have had shock of a game being sold at a redicilous price then say here.

This one shocked me to say the least.

Was at a local Gaming shop y'know. Saw FF7... thought ''man I'll have to pay a bomb for that...but no....10 pound brand new... I was like....O.O
 
I was looking for the PS1 version of FFVI, and it was £32 ... O_O As if I'm paying that.
 
eBay. I bought my first FF games on eBay and I bought Final Fantasy VII AND Final Fantasy X brand new together for a total of $40.

If you went to do that today, FFVII alone is hovering above $100.

This was still my best video game pruchase of all time, to me.
 
Seen a used copy of 8 in a second hand game shop for £7 in the bargin bin! i was so angry it was in there, I was going to get it, but then Id have 3 copies lol!
 
A couple of years ago, I got VII brand new for $15 at Gamestop, and a new VIII for the same price at Best Buy, just a few months earlier :3
 
Yeah, a couple of years ago I consider my self lucky cause I found an original sealed copy of FFVII at a Target for about $39 and of course, I quickly bought that puppy.
 
Since this thread can be used to discuss all games - not just Final fantasy - ill move it to the Gold saucer instead ^_^
 
I saw a second hand copy of Secret of Mana for SNES (box damaged...god knows what the instructions are like....if they even have them) and it was priced at £60!
 
Resident Evil 4 Limited Edition for the PS2 - £20 brand new when it first came out.

And Suikoden 1 for the PS1 - £70.
 
I found FFXII Collectors edition on Ebay for 30 Dollars a month after it came out, I picked that up right away.

Holy Shit!
I wouldn't buy that if it was the last copy of FF7 ever.
 
Well i checked back and the highest so far is 299 which is still pretty dam high, I guess someone bought it or he went down from his asking price
 
I remember I bought both Onimusha 1 and 2 from amazon for under £11 once. Great deal as they were both brand new. I bought Battalion Wars from Gamecube a while back for £40 too.
 
Most shocking thing I've willingly bought was a PSP.

Seriously though I would say Unlimited Saga was a bad buy, came close once to buying a copy of Secret of Mana for £60 which was a rip considering that the box was in a state and it didn't even have the map in it.
 
Hmmm not really sure. The only thing I can think of is when I first bought my XBox. I go so many games for so cheap. It was towards the end of it's life and I probably bought four games for every hundred bucks I spent. Other than that I try not to pay too much attention to price.
 
When I was working at Gamestop over the Holiday season I found a semi-rare game. I was cleaning the stock room and I found a copy of Persona 1. The copy was near mint condition, no scratches. It seems liked someone hid the game to buy it later. I asked around if anyone wanted this game. Oh well, I brought it. ^_^

Whoa, you might wanna take a look around e-bay. I found a brand new FF7 for 127 bucks, shipping and handling included. And $127 is A LOT to me. I still bought it though. But jeez, 450 bucks? No way in hell am I going to buy that...
