HEATHEN's ~Artwork~

(I'm pretty much just reposting what I did in another forum)

Hey there ^_^ This is my gallery, and all art here will be hand drawn pieces; no graphics. My strongest media is most definatley oil pastel, although I'm very pleased with how much my watercolor skills have improved. I'm also using a lot of acryllics these days too.

Most of what I draw will either be still life- specifically fruit and veg- because I love the colors and texture, or characters and monsters and such from my favorite video games... because I'm a nerd. The images you see here are somewhat big, so to keep my first post organized I'm not posting the full things.

A star beside something means either it is one of my favs, or I'm most in need of feedback. Yellow means it's new.

Most people have already seen these, but I'm going to try and update regularly with photos and blog-type comments, so that everyone can see my progess, help me out with suggestions, ideas etc. An artistic journey together lol. And this page will constantly be updated, so everything I have done will always be in the first post.

Easily some of the best art Ive EVER seen. You make the fruit look like photographs or something! Love Anima, its just...amazing

And your pop art is amazing, I want the Freddy mercury and marilyn one soooo bad

Ive said al lthis before but its FAR too good to not comment and just say WOW.

That is awesome, really man. I love the pop art ones. Especially the lennon and monroe ones. I had a go at doin a jimi hendrix one like yours but i made a mess of it big time, i couldnt do the eyes. Rikku is WOW, you would think it was one of the artists at Square that drew it.
 
Awww great work!!! Hey when are you going to make the one of Yuna you promised...... Anyways all your works are just awesome. Popart is something your good at!!!

Thank you ^_^ Really. Anima and #4-Finished are my fav two. And actually, #4 was recently bought from me by my countries school education board. :mark:

Wow, thank you so much- I wouln't go that far though. It looks better in photo. I mixed (stupidly) watercolor with thick paint and it's very cakey and chipping away. But yes, thank you!

LOL, that's part of the "Art Blog" I'm doing. I have school right now, but in the Summer I'm going to work out that little 'series' we talked about ^_^
 
Rikku one is my fave, it looks sensational...much like all your other work does! :gasp:
That berries one looks amazing even if it isn't finished, can't wait til that ones fully finished.

Thanks a lot guys. The unfinished berries is actually the second version of the finished one. Which do you like best?
 
I like the unfinished one the best at the moment, they're both sensational pieces, but I can just imagine that working on a bigger canvas means that it'd be hard to get the same affect, and you've certainly done a fantastic job, can't wait 'til it's finished ^_^

im doing something like that at school and i wish i could design like that!

Finally someone agrees lol. When I ask my friends/family they insist they like the first better, but I think they are just trying to be nice. I keep trying to explain that I think that the quality of the second is better. Like, if you notice the raspberry (bottom, middle), it looks ten times better than the 1st one. I think so anyway.

I've also zoomed in a little more, and thus left out a bit. Don't actually think that was the best idea but *shrugs*

And EJ, I'm doing art for A_Level now myself. Though I have only 1 and a half weeks left and have done very little work all year! *Cries* I'm not going to get much sleep these next few weeks!
 
Hey, I've dug out two pieces from when I was like...14 lol.

Just a simple posterized piece.

This one is a bit strange; I used glue and tissue to build it out with my hands, then painted it. Then I cut it out and stuck it to a nice velvety background ^_^



11th April '09

The piece I'm working on at the minute isn't great- as I'm just trying to get as much done as possible for school. I'm using a basic byro-pen so the entire picture basically consists of scribbles. Hopefully I can do the whole thing in 2 or 3 days. I'm not telling you what it is ^_^ as I wanna see if anyone can guess as I keep posting updates on it. :P Fun fun.

Lol Im still waiting to see that Yuna one. Oh and your new ones are good but not as good as your previous works. Hahah I know you can do better. Lol I cant wait to see that popart Yuna. But the popart colors are beautiful for your art.

Duuuuuuuudes. I have been so busy with school that I havn't done much, nor updated.

Good news, I have a few things to post and will do in the next few days. Also, because school is over, I can start on Final Fantasy related stuff again (like Yuna, though it'll be a while yet)! Over the next few weeks I guess ^_^ I'll update soon, promise!

very good talent and very well done art works.you should really do something with your talent, not many people have it. good look with your next work :)
