Hello, I am a long-time FF player, but I am a first time joiner of any FF community.

Lately, with the re-releases on DS and PSP of some of my favorite installments in the series, I have rediscovered my love for the Final Fantasy world.

I am in no way a "gamer"; in fact, my playing list has dwindled over the years to now only Square-Enix RPGs, and of course, Final Fantasy.

I used to live in Japan and toyed with the fact about applying for a part-time job at Square-Enix (this was back in 2004), but I figured I should continue college in America. Now that I am getting back into the games, maybe I can finally find some direction in my major that I have been pursuing (illustration).

But either way, my goal for joining this forum is to meet people who feel the same way about Final Fantasy as I do. I am feeling isolated as a fan, because I cannot and do not have any friends around me who also play the series. And also, I find is alarming that my friends who also enjoy video games look upon FF as "stupid" or "silly"; I'm SO tired of hearing them snort when I say I play Final Fantasy!

Also my boyfriend is a Phantasy Star fan and wants nothing to do with Final Fantasy. Why we are still together I don't know, haha. :)

Anyway, nice to meet you all, and I really hope I can find the camaraderie I'm longing for lately!
 
Hey there and welcome to the forums =D Enjoy yourself and I know how you feel about not having any friends who enjoy Final Fantasy...or even know what it is for that matter. =0

My partner is the same. He wants nothing to do with it either. >_< So hard living in the same house with him sometimes. =P

Same here, thats why I originally joined :monster:

And my boyfriend thinks it's shite, I can't even get him to even so much as give one of them a try. Although I did let him try to beat Xaldin once..... that was entertaining

Anyhooo, welcome to the forums :monster:
