[Solved] Identify this final fantasy game

i wish i could provide more details but this is driving me crazy im trying to figure out which final fantasy game this is i was a kid when i played it so i cant remember much i want to play this game now cause it seemed sick but this is what i got

it was early in the game and you were in this deserted town i beleive it was night time and there was like a big fountain in the middle of it i beleive all the buildings were brown but im not sure i wanna say it was on playstation cause i didnt have a ps2 yet so ill go with that i know its very vague but thats what i got i know it was towards the beginning of the game i think it was a final fantasy demo that came with either parasite eve or brave fencer musashi it couldve been another game but i know i had those games

I love the final fantasy series and i have grown up around it but icant recall this game at all

In the North American market, it was packaged on October 31, 1998 with the PlayStation 1998 Collector's CD Vol.2, which contained a demo of Final Fantasy VIII.A Japan-exclusive mobile phone incarnation titled Musashi: Mobile Samurai was also released in 2005

I Still have this game somewhere in a box with my ps1 i bet its rare still got that copy of parasite eve also

Hard to say, since it is on PS1 from the sounds of it, I would have to guess FFIX maybe?

I know VII and VIII didn't have any towns in a middle of a desert... ok VII did, but there was no fountain or anything...

I thing FFIX had a nice looking town in a desert with the rat people... I would say IX is the best I can guess with the info you have provided... if you can think of anymore details I can give it another go

It is most definitely FFVIII (FF8). Firstly, the FFVIII demo was indeed included in Brave Fencer Musashi, as what you have googled. Secondly, the demo shows the part that you described, i.e. the Dollet town segment.

If you are interested in playing this game again, but cannot find the PS1 version disc, you can get the PC version which will be released soon. Or you can get it from PS Network if you have a PS Vita or PS3. Good luck!

its crazy how that video show exactly what i described to a T and @ im blue i said deserted not desert and if you look at the updated post you would see that i found it was ff8 i thought what i gave was vague but a hardcore ff8 player wouldve pointed it out to me eventually but yea i found a copy on amazon for like 12 bucks so i will be enjoying this game very soon
