Alright ozma is damn near unbeatable i need help weapons i should use? Accessories? certain party? i mean idk i've tried at least a hundred times and can't beat him someone please give me some help.

I know there is some shadow gear you can wear and have vivi and stiener use the doomsday attack. This seems to hurt him a lot while you have the other two members cure HP and MP when needed. If you have time throw in a few attacks with Zidane.

First thing to note, you cant hit Ozma with normal abilities unless you do the friendly monsters sidequest. Doing that also makes Ozma weak to shadow magic instead of absorbing it. Doing this helps as Ozma will sometimes cast Doomsday itself and this will hurt it. This also will allow you to use Doomsday yourself with Vivi to deal damage to Ozma. Additionally, if Ozma uses Doomsday, I think, not sure, that both Amarant and Vivi can return magic it if you have those abilities equipped. That is by far his most deadly preventable attack, just equip shadow absorb or shadow null items. The pumice piece is good.

The idea is to use as many powerful attacks as possible quickly. Steiner's Shock ability deals 9999 almost everytime so he makes an excellent fighter. Zidane's thievery can do 9999 to him as well, if you steal enough. Maybe go out and steal crap from monsters again and again. If you still need levels, I'd say around 60 but not at, fight Grand Dragons near Daguerro and steal from them. I say not at 60 or any multiple of 5 really since Ozma has Lv 5 Death at its disposal.

Freya's Dragon Crest deals damage based on how many dragons have been killed while she is int he party and can go up to 9999 easily as well. No Mercy for amarant is a good move; I was dealing about 7k damage with it when i last fought Ozma. Don't bother with summons and the only reason you want a white mage is to heal but if you have all shadow absorb then you don't need to worry so much as doomsday will heal you.

Armor that absorbs shadow is Demon's mail, Pumice Piece and ninja gear. Egoist's armlets will nullify it.

The idea is to kill Ozma as quickly as possible as it has evil attacks, like Curse which deals like 4k damage to everyone and then inflicts statuses. Lovely [Bastard].

It will also sometimes cast Curaga on itself. Now, if youd ecided to bring in one of the white mages (Eiko or Dagger) you can cast reflect on Ozma and bounce the curaga's on to you. This works becuase Doomsday can't be reflected.

I would also advise on what status protection abilities you can. Antibody and Clear Headed are good. Auto Regen and what you have that boosts HP and MP. I honestly wouldn't bother with physical attacks at all as Ozma like to counter those with a berserk spell and the attack is unlikely to deal 9999 damage like other attacks (see above).

Auto Haste, High Tide, Half MP, Return Magic, all good ideas. Auto Life is iffy but if you have the gems go for it.

I read somewhere that keeping one party member at the range of a lvl5 attack to be pretty useful. I guess the logic would be that you keep a non-healer at that range. If anyone in the party is susceptible to lvl5 death, Ozma will cast it.

Seems like a good choice though? Sure enough, you have to revive, but that's still a wasted turn that could be the fight-stopping meteor, or any of the other much more harmful Ozma attacks as opposed to a puny one-character KO which is instantly repaired with full-life.

It's also pretty dependant on what your party is. Gavin has very solid advice. The key is dishing big damage fast, and yeah like Gavin said, you should have skills that dish out 9,999 with a turn.

I'd like to add is that Quina can also be very beneficial in this fight if you've played Quina a lot and learned many useful skills. For instance, Curse is a very crippling Ozma attack, but if you have Quina in your party and have Quina protected heavily against status attacks. Quina's Angel snack ability is a massive status ailment cure for the entire party in one turn. Frog Drop deals 9,999 damage if you just catch frogs (boring I know).
