Hogwarts: The Role-Play

It is the year 2008. It has been ten years since He Who Must Not Be Named was defeated in battle by the famous Harry Potter. Hogwarts has remained open in all those years since that final battle and has never faced any… serious problems since then. There are still the fierce rivalries between the houses of Gryffindor, Slytherin, Hufflepuff and Ravenclaw and of course the much enthused Quidditch season.

But now, there is a problem. A dark and mysterious man has appeared from nowhere and has begun kidnapping and killing those of muggle birth. It is not known who this man is but he is suspected to be one of the final Death Eaters remaining.

Will you be a small child who has just joined the school? Will you be a seasoned veteran? Will you be a prefect? All these will be answered when you join and become: A student of Hogwarts School Of Witchcraft and Wizardry.

This is basically a free-play RP with only a slight story, you can basically have fun and feel as though you are actually in the Hogwarts universe J Template is below.

Year: Sixth Year

House: Slytherin.

Casual Clothing: Red t-shirt, trousers and sneakers. He also uses a green ring.

School Clothing: The same oufit all students have. Unless the inner shirt. This one is not in the trousers but out of it. Dread style.

Personality: Charming, lazy sometimes, helpfull and friendly. Sometimes he may get cold and destructive towards others. It depends on the mood.

First Impression: Mark is usually on the grounds of Hogwarts. He likes helping first class and is known by doing so. He is one of the most helpfull wizards in Hogwarts.

Knowledge: Mark is a little 'Bookworm'. Before enrolling within Hogwarts, Mark began studying spells and magical creatures. He learn quite a lot of amount of spells and get to know some magical creatures along the way. He usually doens't use his intellect in these two parts. He only thinks of laziness.

Casual Clothing: A blue jean jacket over a black shirt and a pair of blue jeans. He usually wears a pair of black sneakers. (Like in the photo)

School Clothing: Hydra has his set of school robes and usually wears them when on classes. However, in after school periods he'll usually just leave his robes in his room and change to his usual attire.

Personality: Hydra is a friendly person who is loyal to his friends and will do whatever he can to protect them. He's usually cheerful, but sometimes might get upset and simply decide to leave whatever he's doing. In these cases (which are somewhat rare) Hydra will lock himself in his room, get a bath to let it flow, or take a stroll around the school's grounds. Hydra loves to help in little pranks as long as nothing serious might occur.

First Impression: When meeting new people, Hydra will take care of being wary that he shouldn't trust everyone. However, due to being already in his sixth year he knows most of the people in school already.

Knowledge: Hydra has most of the qualities of an outstanding Ravenclaw, thus, he's usually first in his classes, and most of the teachers know to appreciate this. His friends usually take advantage of his high intellect to multiple causes, but always with his consent.

Small History(Bio):

Hydra's father was a police officer who died attempting to stop a riot little after Hydra was born. Due to this, his mother has taken care of Hydra and taught him all about the world of wizards and witches all of his life. Hydra was a fast learner and incredibly enough, managed to use perfectly both Muggle and Magic objects.

On his tenth birthday, when a letter from Hogwarts arrived. During the over six months of wait until Hydra was able to collect all that he needed to start in Hogwarts, even if his Mother didn't have too much of a fortune. During the ceremony on his first day at Hogwarts, Hydra was placed in Gryffindor by the Sorting Hat. Since then, Hydra has been one of the most brilliant students on his classes, still not neglecting friendship and fun.

- You enroll when you're 10 years old, so then you should be 12 or on a higher year.

Casual Clothing: (See picture) Jeans and opened toed shoes accompanied with a sleeveless top or a no fear jacker, if the weather calls for it

School Clothing: Robes with a dress shirt and skirt underneath, along with knee high socks and ankle boots

Personality: Shy and cheerful almost all of the time, she works to help her friends overcome their problems, more than she helps herself. This is the only reason she isnt top in all her classes. Courageous when it counts and loyal to the end she is a perfect example of gryffindor material

First Impression: her first impresssion can be a little wary, even after her first five years at hogwarts she is still a little shy around her class mates

Knowledge: so far there hasnt been a spell she has seen that she hasnt managed to Learn, her main downfall however are counter-jinxes and Non-verbal spells, They dont often work well for her. She has mastered most charms and defence against the dark arts spells though

Wand Type: Made from Alder, Pheonix feather core, 11 inches in length

History: On her eleventh birthday she had woken up ordinary. 10 minutes later an owl had flown in and delivered a letter... addressed to her. Perplexed at the strange way to deliver post she thumbed open the envelope and looked in awe as a letter fell out, a letter proclaiming that she was a witch. She gave it little thought until later when her mother found it. When she explained how it had come and that she had thought it to be a joke her mother packed her stuff and sent her to her aunts. Her aunt knew all about the letter and explained what it meant for her. Five years later she is one of the best students at hogwarts, but awfully the most shy

Personality:Calm and dangerous, has rarely any friends but almost every slytherin respects him since they know whos son he is.He sometimes cant control his vampire instincts and bites any person you comes by him if his eyes are black.

First Impression:Usually dangerous looking his eyes are mostly red but when he gets hungry for blood they are black most of the younger kids are scared of him especailly since they heard the stories about his father.

Knowledge: He know every dark art spell there is and even knows expecto patroum which is a bat for him.He knows ever passage way and secret place in the castle since he always stays in the castle.

Wand Type:16 inch Black Wood wand core made of ancient vampire blood Red stone at the end.

Bio:When he was 6 yrs old his mother was killed by a group of vampires that didnt want their master married to a witch.Vladimir lived in Translyvania until he turned 11 and he got a letter for him to attend hogwarts school of witchcraft and wizardry.His father taught him alot of the dark arts.He is Half vampire/half witch he cant go out in the sun light because it hurts him and at hogwarts he has to be feed blood because if he eats human food it wont stay down.He has a twin brother that usually visits him at night time because Vlad rarely sleeps at all and they usually hang out and bite animals at night as a little snack.Him,his father and his brother have a specail power to read each others minds no matter how far they are from each other so that if Vlad gets out of control in Hogwarts they would head there and calm him down.

@ Hydra: Yah you can be a prefect... nerd. lol Thanks for putting that I knew I'd forgotten something :P Yes thats right people you're 10-11 in the first year, 11-12 in the second, 12-13 in the third, 13-14 in the fourth, 14-15 in the fifth, 15-16 in the sixth and 16-17 in 7th and final year :)

Also could people put a slight history please?

@ Promoteon: You cant be 18 and be in the second year :) You have to be at least 11 or 12 to be in the second year. Also I was expecting people not to put a massive list of spells but their general knowledge of them i.e He knows quite a lot of spells most of which he has mastered except for Expecto Patronum which he is currently working on.

@ Alice: You can't be 300 :O Believe it or not they ARE still human :wacky: Unless you have a philosophers stone which is completely impossible also wands wouldn't be 6 foot 5 inches they'd prolly be at most 16-18 inches. Also can you make your personality, first impressions and clothing more detailed?

Name: Renero "Rene" Skylar

Parents: Mum is a muggle and Dad is a Wizard

Year: 5th Year

House: Gryffindor

Appearance: Rene is a tall but slim young man. He has longish dark brown hair and startlingly blue eyes. He is well toned but not overly muscled and has powerful legs. His skin is tanned but only due to being under the sun all the time. During the winter he can appear very pale. He has brilliant white teeth and is somewhat extremely handsome.

Casual Clothing: Rene wears a light brown jacket and a white shirt underneath with the words "Eternal travesty" written across it in blue italics. He wears black baggy jeans and trousers.

School Clothing: Instead of wearing the traditional robes, Rene opted to wear the jumped over a regular school T-Shirt along with gray trousers and black school shoes

Personality: Rene is a cheerful and happy person. He never takes his schoolwork seriously, explaining why he is always in a detention of some sort, but somehow always manages to learn the spells well and succeed in exams. He can be serious when needed to be but most of the time he will be relaxed. He cares a lot for his house and will help anyone in need even if they are in another house. He has had very bad arguments and fights with Slytherins and due to this has a hatred of them.

First Impression: Happy and fun to be with, is well trusted. To slytherins however he is hated.

Knowledge: He knows a lot of spells from his earlier years and has learned quite a lot on his own. He slacks off in lessons but can absorb the information quite well despite this.

Wand Type: Elm with Griffin hair, 14" long.

History: Like all wizards, at the age of 10 he received the letter from Hogwarts Witchcraft and Wizardry informing him that he had received a position at the school. His father was ecstatic with happiness but had trouble explaining it to his wife who had only just found out about him being a wizard. Rene was happy to be going and immediately he was dragged off to Diagon Alley.

As Rene made his way to the school of Witchcraft and wizardry he remembered his fathers words of how he was in Gryffindor and it made Rene hope. Hope to be just like his father. And he was. Now it is five years later and Rene is ready to commence the year that holds his OWLs.

But my guy is a full blooded vampire theyu dont age and i bet you anything if Lupin was a werewolf there could be a student that could be a vampire.

ok so that wasa stupid joke but i want to ask that too. If Lupin was werewolf and came to hogwarts as a student, why couldnt a vampire?
 
@ Alice: If you read some of the books carefully it actually mentions vampires as being unable to use magic for some reason and therefore what would the point be of a vampire joining Hogwarts? A school of witchcraft and wizardry

@ Faithy: Sure thing, no problems love :)

Oh yeah and people, I'll be starting this RP on thursday after I've finished my Mock GCSE exams at school :)

Name: Richard Pius Excessum

Age: 17

Year: 7th year ( Last one probably)

House: Slytherin

Appearance: He is one of the most darker, colder, powerful and noble looking students in Hogwarts. His gaze is empty or dreadful for most of the time. Sometimes, it is just bored. Only few times in the time he has studied in Hogwarts happiness has reflected from his eyes, mostly when it has something to do with dark arts. He has dark messy hair and his middle-height, middle-weight and has well-built body. His skin is pretty white and he has huge scar over his chest. Also he has some other scars here and there which are made by powerful spells. Tho, most of the students and teachers have no idea where he got them.

Casual Clothing: Normally he wears Slytherin clothes, but he also has his family uniform. A dark black t-shit and trousers covered with dark robe which has his family logo on it. He doesn't hang around normal humans so he isn't keen to human modern outfits.

School Clothing: Only Slytherin trousers and and sweater, but in classes he wears his robe too. Together with his robe he looks pretty frightening.

Personality: He is the true lone wolf for half of the time. Almost never other know what he is up to and what he has been doing. Sometimes, even the teachers and director can't keep track of him. Almost never he gets nervous and neither he never gets angry. He is calm as death and doesn't like to communicate much with other than his friends. Tho, probably everyone in Slytherin respect and support him, but only few are friends with him. And with those he chats a lot.

First Impression: If you never had met him, he would shock you and probably the younger ones would run away. Still, he is good-looking, even if scary, so that many girls are in love with him.

Magical Abilities and Skills:

Knowledge - He is a true genius. His knowledge in terms of Magic History is almost as big as his teachers, if not same or even bigger. He has really good head and is very good in arithmancy, tho he doesn't study every thing, so there are things where he is weak or not so well educated.

Charms - His knowledge in charms is extremely high. There are hundreds of charms he knows, from ones that clean your room to ones that make homework for you.

Animagus - Not much known about it. He is able to transform in to snake and because of that is a parselmouth.

Dark Magic - His knowledge in dark magic is very big, bigger than it should be for a Hogwarts student. He knows about Horcruxes and many other banned things. Rumours tell that he has used forbidden magic. He is also capable to have a duel equally with every student in Hogwarts and probably can hold up against many teachers because his transfiguration abilities. Somehow he is very good at combining his dark art powers with transfiguration, for example, he is able to use a dead body as a puppet and make it transforming in to a wolf or something else.

Occlumency/ Legilimency - He is able to close his mind if necessary and may jump in someones mind, who hasn't learned Occlumency.

Transfiguration - The art where he truly shines. He is an Animagus, but that isn't the only thing. He is capable of making liveless things living. He can easily change other humans smaller or bigger and knows how to control undeads with the help of transfiguration. He can also change other human forms.

Patronus - He first used Patronus charm when he was in 3rd class and that made him as famous as Harry Potter was because of it. He trained it two summers in a row and his Patronos is now known as the most beautiful and powerful Hogwarts member Patronus.
Wand Type: Oak with phoenix feather imbued with unicorn blood ( Made By Gregorovitch itself)

History: Richard was born in to a powerful and noble pure-blood family with legendary history, tho, his family was lost for many generations before him. The first signs of his family came after the events of legendary Harry Potter. (Tho, many years before Dumbledore's death).
His mother came to the school of Hogwarts and told Dumbledore about his son. This event made Dumbledore happy, as this family tree members had always been prefects and legends, as he knew from the history of Hogwarts.( Rumors tell that there was something more with the boy, but no-one found out what) Dumbledore happily accepted the boy and told that he will be taken to school once he is ready for it.
When Richard was enough old to choose a wand for himself, his mother subscribed for a wand that Gregorovitch had made, the last one what was left from that legendary wand maker. The wand fitted the boy perfectly. After that he joined Hogwarts and soon he got famous throughout the school. From the first grade, he showed signs of great magical capabilities. Soon, in his 3rd grade, he was chosen to quddish team. He was and still is a superb catcher. At 5th grade, he was chosen as a Prefect. Tho, he isn't nearly as half as active as a prefect than other ones, but he is the most known of prefects. If there is something that the others can't handle, than Richard will start dealing with it. Also, many teachers like him, but the ones without great magical powers are afraid of him. Horace Slughorn is known to have good relationship with him.

I'll join! But forewarning. I am sort of restreicted from my pc, so my posting will be restricted a bit.


Name: Desiree Elsman

Parents: Pure born

Age: 15 (Almost 16)

Year: 6th year

House: Gryffindor

Casual Clothing: She wears a black suit shirt with the sleeves rolled up to the elbow. The two top buttons are undone and so are the bottom two. A white tie is around her neck, but pulled loose so the Y (middle part where the three parts meet up) hangs around the third button from the top. On top of the suit shirt is a white vest similar to waiters (but just white with no pattern). She wears a black skirt that reaches just above the knees, the thigh high socks in the picture and high top black converses. Has multiple piercings along her ears

Both: Has this on both ears (furthest left). She also has a pair of platinum earring that has a ring with a silver chain attached to another piece at the bottom like the one Belldandi has in Ah! My Goddess.
Right: two platinum rings on the top and one at the bottom.
Left: Three rings along the top with two near the bottom.) and a black bracelets on each wrist.

School Clothing: Normal robes with pretty much her suit shirt and skirt. Pretty much her casual dress without the vest.

Personality: A nice and easy going person. She is someone that can be trusted to anything. Her lazy character, which is her major problem has landed her in detention more often than she should and near the bottom of the class, despite her natural talent and brain. She is headstrong, a bit stubborn and like most gryffindors, brave, smart, loyal and fearless with a hint of recklessness.

First Impression: Desiree can be either a lazy bum that always seemed to be lying about, energyless or a complete contrast of being extremely energetic and active, with only a very rare cases of being sort of normal. When she is active, Desiree is open and cheery with everyone. The Slytherin girls hate her because of her rather pretty face and talent.

Knowledge: With plentiful talent, Desiree is very profficient with the wand and learn spells naturally. Coupled with her brain and photographic memory, she could have been an honour student, ranking rather high up with the smartest. She is strong in almost all spells, but weak in charming due to her lack of concentration to sustain them for any period.

Wand Type: Hawthorn with Phoenix feather core.

History: Born from a respectable lineage of pure blood background, Desiree's family was well respected in the community. She inherited an exceptionally large amount of latent talents from both parents, whom seem to feel that their daughter was goig to make them proud. However, shortly after she was born, on a trip into the mountains, the trio were attacked by group of Werewolves. Despite overwhelming odds, the her parents battled out of the ambush, but sustained extensive injuries. Her father stayed back to stop the remaining werewolves as her mother carried her out. What happened to him, no one knew. Her mother ran all the way to the nearest muggle village, losing her wand during the fight. With her last energy, she approached the nearest house and begged the old lady to take her in before dying on the steps. Both her parents death were treated as a mountain accident, and so Desiree grew up not knowing her background.

On her 10th birthday, a nice pretty owl landed in a tree nearby where she sat and dropped a heavy envelope into her lap. Curious, she gave it to her foster parent. The old lady gave a heavy sigh and explained what she had thought. She told Desiree that she had suspected that she wasn't normal by what she was wearing and that the letter proved it. From inside a box, she gave Desiree two pair of earrings from her mother and sent her off to Hogwarts. However, she still does not kow about her lineage and still thinks herself as a normal human(which she gets teased), but it was only a matter of time before someone finds out.

Personality
Often seen as quiet, Faith is actually outgoing and socialises with just about anyone. There is a fierce, brave and strong spirit deep within her that unleashes the courage that she can unlock. She also has untapped potential to become a great leader.

First Impression
From a glance, Faith may appear to be quiet and observant. However, as people begin to know her, they see that she is much more than at first glance. She is indeed smart, brave and valiant in her efforts to get through school. Despite this, outsiders view her as a strange halfblood.

History
Faith Crest's parents died, shortly after she was born in unknown circumstances. This led her to being in an orphanage, where no one would adopt her. She lived in the orphanage for a short time, however, when it was revealed that she had one last living relative that could adopt her. Patricia Musso, a pureblood witch and friend of her mother's, took Faith in as her own and kept her in the Muggle world, waiting for her to discover the wizarding world when the time was right.

A few weeks before her twelfth birthday (it was in September), Faith received a letter that would change her life forever. She had been invited to attend Hogwarts, the School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. This also uncovered the fact that she and even Patricia were both witches. She attended Hogwarts as the letter said in a bid to find out about her parents and their deaths. She aspires to be an Auror because there have been several Slytherins who have tried seducing her to the Dark Arts. In her fifth year, she is now a prefect.
