Hollowstar is a star system with only one planet, Episki. The star is small and eminates a bright pinkish white light. Though the inhabitants of the world have a similar skin pigment to the people of Earth, their skin is a pale purple due to the light of the star. The grass and trees are a more brilliant shade of green, due to the higher concentration of UVA rays that penetrate Episki's atmospere.
Though Hollowstar gives off significantly less heat than the Earth's sun, Episki has a much closer orbit than Earth's, so there is no winter. The sky is a bright shade of pinkish white in the day time, and the water of the oceans, lakes, and rivers is a pale lavender. The sunsets on Episki are the most shocking pink and purple imaginable. Fire, on the other hand is no different than fire anywhere else as the atmosphere is composed of the same elements as Earth's.
There are several continents on Episki.
Aeval is the most advanced of these nations. They have harnessed the power of Crystal(yes, I'm a thief. get over it. I wanna plaaaay. not come up with some self-sustaining power source.) for use in lighting, heating, electricity, refridgeration, and last but not least weapons production.
The reason behind this is that Aeval is the largest of these continents and thereby has the most Crystal available. They were able to harness the Crystal with the help of the Pixies.
Pixies are magical beings with wings who are very small, but very similar to Humans. They can juice Crystals with magical energy to store it as they also use the Crystals and stockpile their magic for later use on a larger scale. Pixies have limited magical resources, you see. and can use it all up if they, say, start a huge fire or something requiring an equal amount of potential energy. Magic is elemental and really only streamlines things that can be done without any magic at all. They fly of their own accord with their wings, but they are able to carry things far too heavy for their own body strength with the help of magic. It's sort of a common sense thing. Like horsepower in a car. Add a supercharger, get more horses. Add a crystal or a fairy, get more nature power.
When a crystal is depleted, it is a clear blue and gives off no light. When it is charged, it gives off a Bright pink light similar to the sunlight of Episki. Pixies regain magical power by sleeping, eating, having sex, sun-bathing and drinking water. Pixies reproduce just as humans do and their life spans due to magic are greater than a humans, but, due to prolonged exposure to magic, Episkian Humans live longer lives than average Earthlings by a margin of twenty to thirty years. A nice round hundred is the average life span and aging is proportionally slower. Though a twenty year old would appear to be only 16, he would be just as wise (or rather unwise) as an average twenty year old on Earth.
Pixies can give magic to a human directly, which is known as Ether tranfusion (Gimme an ether) and visible pink energy is transferred to the human. A pixie can control their energy outside of themselves, they are wise and rather transcendent and can kick your ass if they need to defend themselves though if they deplete their resources they might find themselves on the run for a while. But they can just fly high above you. Humans can't fly. Magicks don't change that. When using magical energy, pixies glow with a pink aura. This is the magic returning to the subether of the atmosphere.
Humans can draw magic from a Crystal by using a transcendent method taught to them by the Pixies which is much like spoon-bending. Once a Human learns the knack for it, it's like riding a bike and can be drawn instantaneously.
There are several other small continents and islands scattered throughout Episki, though since a global communion hasn't been reached little is known about all these places to the people of Aeval. It can be said that these nations are tribal for the most part, though their may be other advancing nations. Pixies are scattered throughout the Globe and are most likely more knowledgable than the inhabitants of other nations and tribes.
Pixies like to remain close to humans as they are mostly friendly, helpful, and adoring to the pixies as the humans don't see them as a threat since they are peaceful and woodsy. And since their bodies naturally produce this elemental magic, it's just better to live in harmony. (The way we think of hippies only less annoying and more productive members of society.)
Now then, I think it's time to inform you that I just made all that crap up just now.
So, I'd like to discuss, if I took care of all the huge details involved in the conflict, class building, bad guys, etc. who would actually care enough to play? I have a really good HD map that SURE I just found on the internet, but I did make sure it could fit into the scheme of things quite nicely. There's going to be a greater action going on around the nation as a whole not to mention the characters plot. i just have to smooth out details and things.
