I'm not sure if there's a thread for this. Anyway, how do you guys feel about being home alone? Is it something you wish would happen more often? Or do you prefer having company more often than not? I personally have liked the few times I was home alone. It was peaceful, and I could do some stuff I can't do with other people in the house (like drink soda and milk mixed together. XD) I'm always so disappointed when my parents come back from wherever they went. LOL howza bout you guys? :)
 
Back when I was living with my parents, I absolutely loved it when my mum would be away for a few days. My brothers and sister would end up crashing over at a friend's and when I wasn't hanging out, I would be a hermit spending hours and hours playing games and watching DVDs. They were some awesome times.

Nowadays, the novelty has kinda worn off. When my fiance and little one went back to North Wales, I found it more unsettling than anything. It was only one night, but you get so used to having these guys around that everything just feels insanely wierd when they're not around. :lew: It was pretty cool; I saw them off at the train station in the morning, came back home and bought myself a breakfast roll on the way, ate that, slept for a few hours and then spent the whole time playing Silent Hill. It was just unsettling because usually there's so much noise going on in the house, whether it's the little one running around being a lunatic, or me and my fiance moidering about crap, it's just really weird when it's quiet.
 
I effing love it!

Moreso now that we're living with the parents this year.

I love my alone time. Whether it's just myself alone or Steve and I.

My family are so noisy and it gives me a headache and makes me feel like I have to stay in my room all the time.

So can't wait to have my own place so I can have a whole house to myself again.
 
the novelty of it has worn off for me. i moved out of my parent's a few years ago, so i've got my independence anyway, so i don't really have a strong desire to be by myself at home. i often am anyawy, because me and my flatmate both work in jobs where we need to be in early or late
 
I used to enjoy it when I was living with my fiance. I'm the type of person who needs her space, and I cherished the evenings I got to spend just with myself. Now a year later after we broke up, I'm living alone and to be quite honest it gets pretty damn lonely at times.
 
I find it a bit unsettling really. :lew: Particularly at night. It's dead quiet...and you can hear every noise, every creak the house makes!

I am looking forward to moving out of my parents' house, since I want independence, but I don't think I'll move out until I arrange to move in with a partner. :hmmm: Living alone at Uni was depressing. My parents irritate me sometimes, but they are nowhere near as upsetting as total silence all the time! And calling people is not the same. You need to see people, to hear them walking around the house, to talk to them in person for a few seconds. :)
 
I always thought that homealone is like a kiddie version of die hard but the bad guys suffering immortality damage.

That's why I tend to just play music all the time (put on an infinite playlist) especially later at night.
 
I live by myself and i dont like it. Its boring and lonely when your not with anyone or doing much of anything. Ive been thinking of putting an ad in for a roomate. Itl not only will pay the bills but will liven things up a bit.
When i was younger i thought living alone would be the best thing ever but like Pooley said that novelty wears off stops becoming fun very quickly.
