I know it just came out in NA yesterday, but still. How far is everyone who managed to get a copy?

I'm just heading to get the 6th badge, I got the 5th badge today in my science class :) .

sadly im still waiting for it  i was thinking of importing it...but that would ruin the whole trading thing with Fire red and stuff

Living in the UK sucks

I got Pearl today, and I'm hoping to beat the whole thing by tonight. Then I'll upload my lv. 100 team on Sapphire and beat random Wifi players.

which pokemon game is this mate

He is referring to Diamond/Pearl. Avoid spamming in the future.

And, like AG, I'm awaiting it with great anticipation. I built up a reserve team on Emerald specifically for training on this game. XD

I think there's about... 5 days or so for us to wait over here. Probably more for me, seeing as it'll most likely be sold out for a while.

EDIT: So apparently it's more than five days. T_T Damn you, Rulia.

aha Saix i see great minds think alike XD having (way too much) free time over the holidays i spent the time training 16 pokemon to level 100 ^_^

Including legendarys like Mew and Mewtwo as well as powerful ones like dragonite XD

so like adamant i intend to also beat the game in one day and then defeat random wi-fi players XD

cant wait! XD and if anyone know whether or not mew obeys on Diamond please tell me :P (he doesnt on fire red )

Damned Nintendo, clamping down on importing Pokemon, meaning that Play-Asia won't ship it to the UK or Europe anymore. And I was well psyched for it as well.>_<

Still, Chimchar and Piplup look mighty, not so keen on the grass one though, reckon he might be the unloved one of the starters this time 'round.

Man, this Pokemon version has some really stupid names. What ever happened to obvious ones like "Pidgey" and "Voltorb"? Not all of us are Latin professors...

I own Pokemon Pearl. So far, I only got my 3rd badge and am now raising my Luxio to evolve into Luxray.

by some amazing chance i managed to snag a copy of diamond today - it appears that my local games shop imported a load from america ^_^

im so happy XD ive only been playing it for like ten minutes - the proffesser has given me the piplup ^_^

I'm preparing to face off against Team Galatic at the peak of Mt. Coronet. I attempted it once and was defeated by the leader's Wievel (sp), that damn evolved form of Sneasel. Nearly all of my pokemon are weak against ice/dark...

Caught me a Gible, so I'll return to get back my pride.

Argh! I'm getting my DS in the mail anytime now, and then I am bolting to buy Pearl or Diamond. The anticipation is murder. ><

The game's a bit easy, methinks. I just now ran into some trouble, but the bastard's pokemon have type advantages...and roughly 10 more levels...

i decided to start over last week (due to the fact that i went through the game too quickly), and am now getting Azelf, Mespirit, and Uxie in preperation for the eliete four, and i recently caught a shiny Floatzel.

I haven't encountered a shiny pokemon yet.

I've got a Garchomp, Alakazam, Roserade, Drapion, Luxray, and Crobat at the moment.

I'm thinking about dumping off Roserade and Drapion for the Elite 4, though. Roserade doesn't have enough defense to put its terrific special attack to good use.

Drapion is just plain mediocre, I'm finding.

Finished the game, but it took me a hell lot of Full Restores and Hyper Potions to take down that damn Garchomp (As I lacked a Ice-type, or Ice-type moves).

Also caught Giratina a few days ago without the Master Ball (Saving it for later), here's a tip, Pokemon like Staraptor (AKA Normal/Flying) are extremely effective against Giratina (As in, only 1 out of the 4 moves can harm it and it's Slash.)

Ooh, a Garchomp. I have one of those myself, so I should at least stand a chance with my dragon techniques. I should consider some ice moves, though I lack an ice pokemon.
