How much did you pay for VII?

I saw this at a video game store for $80 used. I know that it is rare, but I think it was overpriced. How much did you pay for it?
 
Uh a tenner off ebay, used I think

My mum originally got it for £20 when I first got my playstation, and I think I have paid about the same on the numerous s Ive had to rebuy it. The copy for £10being th emost recent

$80 is a RIDICULOUS price xD
 
I think that it could be a collector's item NOW... when I got my first clue of when a guest (i.e. 'a friend of a roommate's boyfriend...') kept pestering me to buy my game. It still is in Like New condition (I take care of my stuff and I would say 'new' but I've had it for 10 years now as of November)

Okay, back to topic: Here is how much I spent on my games:

Actual game was about 25 bucks
(I stumbled upon it a few days after its release and knew jack about the FF7 series at all)

Original Game Soundtrack was 90 bucks
(Purchased a year later, and it was hard to get it imported or find one still in the store)

Dirge of Cerberus was 50
(I got this one as a gift so I don't know the actual price)

Advent Children 30
(I got this as soon as it became available)

Advent Children Sound track 40
(anime convention)

Crisis Core was like 50 bucks
(Oh! wait! '49.99' pfft. It was released a day before my birthday)

Dirge of Cerberus Soundtrack was 20
Crisis Core Soundtrack was also 20
(purchased at the same time and got two autographs on them ... and major glomps from those voice actors ^^; )

And of course as time passes... the prices slowly comes down from the release date. (typically)

155 for the Games
210 for the Soundtracks

Misc stuff: PSX, PS2, and PSP... tickets to anime conventions.

Oh gwad... I'm screwed.

I paid fifty or forty on ebay, which was really cheap compared to some of the other prices. One even cost three thousand dollars! :O Obviously for collectors.
 
I didn't have to go to ebay. I was there and bought them in the stores as they came out. I honestly had no idea that I was sitting on a gold mine, and there is no way in hell that I'm parting with anyone of them. In fact after the incident with the 'guest' (friend of roommates, blah blah) tried to buy it off of me and then kept picking it up to the point that I had to put it away --- it looks like I have to put them under lock and key and not let it lay around the living room

Actually, when I got FF7, I think Ebay just came out and noone was taking it seriously back then
 
Not making you regret anything, imagine if you bought two and kept one unopened...

You would have to get a security system for it.
 
Heh, I'm actually kicking myself in the pants not bothering buying multiple copies at K-mart back in 1998 (I was a senior in high school back then)
 
I got Final Fantasy VII for about 20 bucks but at a store I went to it was like a rip off 50 bucks wow. I was saying I did not pay this much for a psone game lol.

Was a deal, buy a PS1, get two games with it. I chose FFVII and Tekken 3.

God that was a long time ago lol.
 
I bought a copy that although used, is in near perfect condition from ebay of June this year, for £12.99 I think.
 
Yeah I agree on what you guys are saying that Final Fantasy VII is really rare it is true because Usually all the time they have none or at least 1 left. Maybe because it is such a great game that people want to buy it even if it is 50 bucks or something.
 
I had Final Fantasy VII for a long period of time now so I do not play anymore because I did every single thing in the game. My friends keep asking me how much is it and I respond 50 bucks and there like what???? for a psone game???? Then I was like you know why its 50 bucks? because ff is the best game ever!!

Wow, that's a good deal. Now they have stupid restrictions on it. Like buy a PS2 and get 2 $10 games free. Rather than buy a PS2 and find the 2 most expensive games and get them for free.
 
I bought packaged together, a brand-new FFVII and FFX on eBay for $40 total. Best investment/purchase I've made in video games I believe.

You definitely won't be able to find that deal again.
 
hm my first copy of final fantasy was free, as my neighbour turned 19 and had gone off games so he gave it to me for free (he bought it for £45, thats wen i got hooked on the games

however after lending it to a friend it broke, i was disapointed but after a year nd half i couldnt stand it and bought it for £14.99, it had been out ages by then
