I ask because some people shop every day, some once a year, and some replace their entire wardrobe in one month. Also, I heard about something called a shoppers diet where instead of replacing your wardrobe every month, to only buy five or six outfits a month.

I usually buy a few clothes for each season, and continue to wear my clothes from years past. Unless they are starting to get worn out, then I usually donate them.

Whenever I need some new ones, really. Unless I see something I really like (which isn't very often) I'll buy new clothes maybe once or twice a year. I didn't get any at all last year...and, since I got some clothes this Christmas, I may not end up buying any clothes this year either. I've stopped growing (I think) and I don't do anything particularly strenous to wear them out, so my clothes last quite a while ♥

My new years promise to myself was to save money this year...so this is a past issue for me thankfully...

However, I have been a frequent abuser of the outlet malls and a shopaholic over the past few years. School stresses me out so I go out to the outlet mall and pick up a few new clothes and I bring them home and its like instant gratification. I did this at least once a month or so....already adding to an extensive wardrobe. Right now I probably have at least 2 1/2 closets full of clothes, plus a dresser full and some in storage under my bed. Most of what I have I haven't even worn yet :gasp: Still, I'm not quite up to par with the girl in the Confessions of a shopaholic series.

It occured to me that I don't really need anything else so I'm just going to use up what Ive got and save up money for awhile. I'm not in debt either so I guess thats a good thing too. Whenever I do get around to wearing something that I have out, I will donate it of course. I'll allow myself to start buying things again when I get my RN job, get my car paid off, and get a condo with some furniture. I'll be making more money then so I'll be able to afford it.

I hardly ever buy clothes because I don't have very much money for them, but also because my weight fluctuates sometimes and it's hard to keep up :/ Most of my clothes are actually things I've had since I was a teenager that are too baggy for me :lew: But after I get off the few pounds I put on over the holidays, I will probably buy a few more things, and I would eventually like to replace most of my clothes that are ten years old, especially since family members bought them for me without me trying them on first and they don't fit me right :hmmm: (Actually I just bought two new pairs of pants and three shirts as a Christmas gift from someone, but I think they are all tight enough that it won't matter :hmmm:)

I have trouble buying clothes sometimes anyway though, because I'm unusually tall for a woman, and especially with shoes, forget it XD I've been looking for a new pair of boots forever, but no store carries anything over a size 9 and I need at least a 10W or 11 :sad3: I call footscrimination on them, srsly :mokken:

Not too often but not too soon. Whenever I buy new clothes, I usually wait a month or two before considering if I need more or not. Right now, I think I could use some, since its been a while and I've been spending most of my money I've saved on electronics (and still am.). Hopefully I can put some money to the side for some new clothing before I buy anything else otherwise I'll have a hard time picking what to wear. Especially in this cold weather, since the majority of the clothes that I have are either dresses, shorts, tank tops, etc. So I'll need to add on to the Winter side of that closet sooner or later . :wacky:

all i seem to buy nowadays are jeans and shirts for going out in. i seem to have an endless supply of t-shirts, probably from when i went through a phase a few years ago of buying a lot of that sort of thing. whenever i go to a gig i always buy a tour t-shirt if they're selling them, it's sort of a tradition for me.

i wouldn't like to guess how often i buy though. i'd say jeans and a shirt once every two or three months is my most frequent.

i could do with another shirt actually... :hmmm:

Back when I lived at home I would come home with a new top or jeans etc every day.

It got to the point that I had to hide my shopping bags from my mum because she would get angry at me always spending my money on clothes.

These days I may buy a new top very rarely if I feel like I have been wearing the same ones all the time.

Jeans and short shorts only get replaced when needed. I feel people only seem to notice if you've worn the same top more than once then they notice your jeans. XD

I'm much better with buying clothes now.

I'd hate to be one of those people who buy new clothes every season. Sure it'd be nice to always be wearing something new and 'in' but I'm not all fussed about being 'in'. And I would have no money left if I did become one of those people either. >.<

I usually buy whenever there's a sale or if we're going somewhere with cheap clothing, which isn't very frequent. I buy clothes whenever I can since I don't have that much new clothing right now. :D

Thankfully here, it's just rainy, hot and cold season so I don't need to buy those expensive jackets and stuff.

Not very much. I don't exactly have a routine time-line for which I decide to buy clothes. Maybe once a month, if that. I hate shopping, so when I do, I've probably got my eye on a nice coat or something. Otherwise, it's something like once a month.

I actually don't buy clothes all that often. The only thing I really need most of the time are pants or shoes, and those aren't hard to get for me. Nowadays, I do more clothes shopping for other people than I do for myself.

I tend to get money for clothes on my birthday as well as Christmas so, I'm not a shopaholic when it comes to clothes. If it fits and is in good condition, whats the problem? I hate people who buy a shit load of clothes and dont wear half of them. I dont care if its 'in style' or not I wear what I got :mokken: so, go screw.

Plus, its a pain my my arse to find clothes that fit to be liking. Well, with Jeans. Shirts is fine but, ehhh I hate shopping because its so hard to get the right fit :gonk: just not worth wasting my day.

I buy new clothes about 3 times a year maybe. The ones I dont wear anymore, I donate to goodwill or something to make use of it.

I go on ridiculous shopping sprees for clothing >.> I could happily wait for 2-3 months and buy the odd item now and again then all of a sudden I just feel I need the urge for an entirely new wardrobe D; I have a stupid amount of clothes that I really like, it's just getting through everything else first before I can be bothered to wear them. I admit, when it comes to clothes shopping I'm like a woman :(

I buy way too many clothes. Problem is, I never get rid of the old one's!
The only plus side is that I hate paying full price for anything :gasp: Some may call me cheap, and those some are correct XD

Aw, all the time, I love shopping, and when summat starts calling my name... Im always browsing ebay and can't resisit a peek in the shops when Im out and about, even if its just food shopping. I nearly always end up coming home with something, my wardrobe is a disgrace (as is the shoe cupboard) I have so many clothes.. not too many though, you can never have too many

Me too, but i find I spend more bargain hunting than I would normally.. oh well. bargains. I got some fabulous red heels in the sales. As well as some black shorts, 2 tops 7 (yes 7) belts and some black braces. Oh and a hat. Oh, slippers too. And a new bag

Winner

and a nice black choker

Oh a bra too.

I buy clothes very rarely, unlike my friend, who buys something nearly every day :lew:

When I do buy clothes though, it's very hard for me to stop at just one or two things. I'll find myself buying more and more, and end up with a whole load. I've been known to replace my whole wardrobe in a single shopping trip. :lew:

Although, I haven't thrown away any clothes for years. I was ridiculously pleased last month when I found that a Tshirt that I love that I bought 4 years ago fits me perfectly again. Huzzah!

Shopping everyday? THat would be fine if you were rich and didnt have to work for the most part of the day.
EHhh im not sure. Lately ive bought clothes alot. Particularly t shirts and jeans. I still could do with some more tops but il get round to that. So id maybe say i dunno every few months? There isnt really a set time limit. If i need new shoes, jeans whatever il go out and buy them. Getting clothes though that fit me the way i like them too with good designs is near impossible and i hate trying on trousers ¬¬ SO finding stuff i actually like is 50% of the battle the other 50 percent being to get it in a good fit :jtc:

I used to buy clothes every time I got paid, which was every two weeks. Although sometimes I would go on several shopping trips between paychecks. I have no idea how much I spend on clothes a year but it's probably in the range of $4,000-$5,000. I tend to bargain shop and shop clearance a great deal so I get a lot for the money.

Lately, I haven't been shopping as much for clothes because I've realized I have no more closet space. D= Plus, I've gone through a lot of change in the past few months, so I haven't had a great deal of shopping time.

Ive been on another spree :sad3:

2 pairs of shoes, several tops a skirt and a few tshirts. I just cant help my self, its like an addiction. I needed (well....) a pair of silver shoes for Saturday night, ended up buying 2 pairs, cant even justify the clothing mission I did on Sunday

Got some amazing cow pjs though, well, sleepsuit :wacky:

I think its the best thing ever

I more clothes more often than I should. :P I love to shop for clothes because I'm really big on style. So basically whenever I get the chance to get new clothes, I do. Is that bad? lol

I used to buy clothes all the time, in fact I had an underwear obsession for years and now find that I have so many undies that I can't even fit them into my draws. Buuut alas, I now have a home and bills to pay etc etc and don't have the money to buy many clothes :(
I probably buy myself maybe two items a month and thats if I really need them!!
My work gear is getting worn out though, I will have to replace them soon but my god, clothing is so expensive!!!
