Because my brother won't give back my memory card, and I was at Hashmel, but kept getting destroyed by him anyway. So, I restarted and I am now heading off toward the Ying Sandsea. I'm using Vaan, Basch, and Balthier in my party. Basch main attacker, Vaan back up, and Balthier as the caster with a gun. Secondary party is Ashe main attacker, Fran caster, penelo secondary.

Hopefully, I won't get stuck this time around.

I think you'll get him this time XD
And as for your brother? I would do something just as cruel to him :P

Debating about what would be good revenge, maybe accidently defeating his football game where he is 29-0 :)

Thats a good plan =)
how cruel he is by not giving you your memory card back...! Well, well... you ay least got a '' breather'' before kicking Hashmal =D

I had to restart a few hours into the game for me too when I realized I realized i had opened a treasure coffer that I shouldn't have that prevented me from getting the one Zodiac Spear.

Like I said, I wasn't too far into the game, but it was kinda annoying having to go back through stuff I had just seen less than an hour ago.

Good luck on your second play-through now.

Maybe your problem is that you're using all six characters when, really, you only need three. Training all six characters at the same time is inefficient levelling and, overall, makes it more difficult to get to the recommended level at various points in the game, and near-enough impossible to be overlevelled.

The only time I use my other three characters is if my primary party all end up dead - I very quickly use three phoenix downs on my party (by which point, the shit party are dead) and switch my good party back into the fray, continuing from where we left off.

Hell yeah man. I totally do the same thing. I use my three main characters all the time, unless they die. My three other characters are still at like levels 12-14. It's stupid trying to raise every characters levels and is a waste of time. But if you do want to do that then I would recommend using the item Embroidered Tippet. It doubles the experience you earn. That's what I use to level my main characters faster. It really comes in handy, too.

Well, see, I was going to spent a majority of my time on my main party, and level the other three to level 40 and keep them there, that way, they won't be completely useless, and I can switch it up to keep it from being boring. Same old people all the time bores me.

Yea, a party of 3 is risky. I'd rather have 6 people at level 40 than 3 at 75 and 3 at 5 lol As for your second play through good luck man :D

I did that too but I only realised that I couldn't open them when I had finished the sandsea and I thought cba to start again... so I didn't and now the f***ing zodiac spear's going to be damn near impossible to get.

Well that's good. Now you can improve on things you didn't do on your last game. You can think of atleast one. This game is two days long anyway.

i had to restart once cause i got to a boss and i could not beat him soo i started again and trained dustia untill i was lev 51 and it realllyyy pissedd me off cause i had to play the whole game again and i was bout n hour away from the end :/

Wow your brother did not give back your memory card? I still have not finished final fantasy xii but you should do something that your brother will never forget!!!

Oddly, I just had to restart as well. I had just entered the first level of the Pharos, and somehow my memory card got hosed. Backups? Oopsie.

I started over to show my parents how this game begins, because they like RPGs and excellent graphics, but are more than a little intimidated by ATB systems. The turn-based system of X was easier for those of us with slower response times and creaky joints. :)

I'm a little disappointed to have lost 100+ hours of gameplay, but I take so long to play games -- real life and writing come before gaming -- that I needed the refresher anyway. I'd forgotten a lot of the plot.

I'm finding I like the game better on the repeat. It's not my favorite, but it's growing on me.

Yeah; I liked the game the first time 'round, but I didn't love it like I do now until I played through things a second time. I'm saving before interesting cutscenes are series of cutscenes, because there's plenty of little things that are easy to miss the first time.

Ashe always telling Vaan to shut up? She turns -before- Larsa to shush Vaan at Bur-Omisace, and Larsa doesn't do the hushing noice, just Ashe.
Ashe slapping Basch? Vaan's background reaction is hilarious.
