I've used the shoutbox, and I just joined yesterday. I don't think you guys scare anyone away.....

I can see new members finding the shoutbox an intimidating place to be, considering it's almost instantaneous conversion as opposed to the format of the forum; being able to have the time to sit and think about your response.
