If they were to make a movie

If they made a FFX movie, would you go see it?

I was just wondering about what people thought the movie would be like if they ever made one.

by the way this is just speculation, I've never heard any rumours about them making a FFX movie I'm just speculating.

but hey, a guy can dream right?
 
Not sure, really. The game itself was a movie to me when I wasn't bashing fiends.
 
Yh I can agree that game was quite cinematic but doesn't that mean that there's more potential to make it into a good movie?

not to mention since it's the first FF game to allready have voice over artists finding people for voices wouldn't be too hard.
 
I would wait to rent it. I need to keep that movie for endless viewing, so I need to have my own copy.

I would definitely want to watch it, but not in theaters. Don't want non-FF fans talking about one of my favorite game stories in a negative way -_-
 
I'd definitely wait to buy it if they ever did make a movie. It's such a shame, they should, the game was very awesome and epic in some ways. They could just bring back the VA's of the game instead of finding new ones, who knows it'd be awesome however if they did make a movie out of the game.
 
I personally like to watch more actiony (not saying X wouldn't be) out in theaters. I wouldn't mind watching it however, I don't want to waste my money at the theaters and be completely disappointed. Sometimes movies ruin the original piece. I'd wait and watch it myself
 
I'd probably go to the cinema to see it.

Don't often get out to the cinema and when I do it's only if I really want to see something right away. This would probably be one of those movies I'd want to see right away seeing as it's my favourite game.

Even if it wasn't the best movie I'd still enjoy the graphics. >.<
 
I think I'd mostly enjoy seeing it because it brings all the best characters (in my opinion) out onto the big screen and gives you a chance to see the story again, but kind of through fresh eyes if you know what I mean.

I'm actually quite surprised by most people's reactions. I was expecting like half of you to say something like "OMG NO THEY'D TOTALLY RUIN IT =X"
 
Nothing would ruin such a great game...but then again, Dragon Ball was ruined when it was put into the big screen. I wouldn't pay to watch FFX on the big screen, but I'd watch it for free if it's good enough. :)
 
^ fair point.

I would hope that they'd give a movie based on something like this, due attention to make it good. I never saw the DB movie because I heard bad things but I would force myself to watch the FFX movie ^_^
 
I like Final Fantasy. I'd hate to see some retard director ruin it with his own "views" on how Final Fantasy X should be. So no. No...no!!
 
I would go and see it at the movies AND buy it on Blu-Ray because its an FFX movie! The game itself was fairly movie like anyway, a lot of video scenes and amazing direction. The movie itself would proberly be a decent flick IF it was directed by someone heavily involved with the game e.g. Tetsuya Nomura, however if it was handed to an american director then im sure it would be a travisty. Oh and it would have to be CGI, if it was made with real actors then it would need to be boycotted by us fan boys and girls! ...But its not being made so :P
 
I'd wait for it to hit to internet, I wasn't overly impressed by Advent Children or The Spirits Within and neither of them inspired me to think Square Enix could produce amazing films. Advent Children was certainly the better of the two but it wasn't particularly amazing imo, so I'd wait :)
 
Hmm, I love X--but I'm skeptic about FFs turning into movies. But after I saw some trailers and what not, I'd make my decision then.
 
well there have been 5 ff movies so opinions can deffinitely vary. i think a ffx movie would be interesting to see what could be said. what i would also like to see would be a ffxii movie. i think that has much greater potential in a film, but thats just me
 
Yea--the only good FF movie was AC. I just wouldn't want X to be ruined like that *sigh*
 
I think we can all agree that video games don't make good movies. There's usually just too much going on in a game to fit it all into a movie. I don't know though, I think they should just leave the video games as video games. FFAC was okay, I was hyped bout it. But all the flying around while fighting kind of turned me off for some reason. Maybe if Square-Enix did a little side project of Final Fantasy movies, ones that aren't of the games. That would be cool.

I can understand why some of you would be apprehensive about the movie. I've seen some of my fave games ruined when hollywood took controll (resident evil xP)
But I would think someone out there who's allready spent their entire life playing and understanding the game would be able to make the movie good, and just like the final fantasy that we know.
 
That's not true. There are some really great game movies. Like Doom, Tomb Raider, Resident Evil, or lets say ADVENT CHILDREN.

Those are really good game movies....as long as they're done right.
As long as SE does an FF movie right with the actors, storyline, director, etc, the movie will be good.

Just look at what SE did with Spirits Within. They went from that piece of shit movie to Advent Children. SE is capable of ANYTHING.
 
I'd wait until it came out on DVD personally, I don't think a Final Fantasy movie has hit the big screen yet, maybe Spirits Within has but that film sucked!

Anyway I'm not too sure about them making it into a movie being a good idea, I mean what would you call it for a start? And is it just gonna be the whole FFX story in cinematics? Because if so I really don't see the point. Maybe a movie about Braska and the Legendary Guardians, that would be awesome :awesome:
