Listen to one album for the rest of your life what album out of all the ones you own (or would like to own) would you pick?

I'd have to say FF IX. I simply cannot stop listening to it. The over feel of it just whisks me away to another realm.

Rumours - Fleetwood Mac

One of my favourite albums of all time. However, unlike most albums, I actually like all the songs on the album instead of a handful of them. Rumours has most of my favourite Fleetwood Mac songs on it too - Dreams, Go Your Own Way, Don't Stop, Gold Dust Woman... It's easily Fleetwood Mac's best album too.

You know, that's a toughie, actually. But I'd have to go with Fallen by Evanescence purely because it's the first album that I bought in which I love and listen to all the songs.

Easy enough, if it were just one I would either pick Tool - Lateralus or R.A.T.M. - Live at Grand Olympic.

Amazing Guitar action from Rage and Tool always has Maynard and Danny Carrey. Amazing bands and of course amazing albums.

Probably Icky Thump from the White Stripes, I love all the songs on their CD, but then again I love all their CDs purely because they're unique, I've yet to hear a band anything close to the style they have. Awesomeness.

chase this light by Jimmy eat world

Every song on this album is one of my favourite songs ever. Its stunning. Theres a wide variety of different tempos aswell, theres faster songs like big casino and slower songs like carry you and then theres the meduim paced songs. :)
I adore this album.

At this moment in time, Id have to say Hey Ma by James, Im addicted to them at the moment and there are a couple of win songs on that album that I could never get tired of...although its really hard because there are a couple of other songs Id want on that album to.....its really just upbeat, and if i had to listen to the same album over and over it couldnt be depressing

But yeah, at this moment I think that one, I love Upside, im well addicted to that song

GAH

-Plays album-

Im sure Il change my mind... it totally depends on my mood and the music phase I happen to be going through at the time...hard question is hard xD

I would say the Red Cliff OST just because the music pieces are extremely calming and well put together plus I love the movie. I had listened to soundtrack so many times for over 2 weeks, I still don't get tired of listening to it. I also love the songs that alan did for the soundtrack as well, she has such an amazing voice.

It's a contest between Lady GaGa - The Fame and Ministry of Sound Breakdown 2008. D= Toughie. I don't get sick of Lady GaGa, but the Breakdown CD would offer variety.

Buuuut....going by my current mood, I think I would go for Lady GaGa, cause I feel in the mood for some of her music today. I'mmah go play Just Dance nao. =D

Most likely at the moment... *thinks* either The Cure... Hmmmm oooh so tough >_<

Okay got it.

The album; Take Off Your Colours, by You Me At Six

Well quite frankly I'd rather not listen to an album for the rest of my life than only have one, I mean you'd walk around hearing the same songs over and over.

I don't care howgood an album is, you'd get really sick of it really fast.

But if I must choose, I'd pick the soundtrack to Xenogears. IMO It's got something for just about any situation you could ever find yourself in. Yasunori Mitsuda is a genius. :D

This is hard because you sometimes get tired of a certain music/song easily...
Haru Haru- Big Bang

It would probably have to be One Day Remains by Alter Bridge for me. Love it.
Post length etc guys.

I'd be tempted to chose Led Zeppelin 3 or 4.
3 has Since I've been loving you, which is my favourite song, and 4 has Stairway to Heaven and when the Levee breaks, not to mention Black Dog and Going to California.

But I'd have to choose The White Album, it does have Obla di obla da which is terrible, but almost every other song on the album is brilliant.

Probably Rage Against the Machine's Self titled album.

I love pretty much every song on the album (some more than others, but there are no songs which I can't stand). "Freedom", "Take the Power Back", "Settle For Nothing", "Fistful of Steel", "Killing in the Name" ect... all great songs really.

Personally I would put all songs from iTunes into a single CD and listen to it with no problem, but that's not allowed now is it? :wacky:

I guess I would have to choose Invincible by Michael Jackson. I'd never get bored.

Probably "The Fucking Cunts Treat Us Like Pricks" by Flux of Pink Indians. It's a genius piece of work and it screams anger and reality. That and you can keep noticing new things in it every time you listen to it.

But of course, if I were forced to listen to that for the rest of my life, I'd go mad. Just like with any other album. :P

I could definitely listen to Street Light Manifesto for the rest of my life...

I practically am already, lol. Of course... it's not the only thing I'm listening to. x]

I'd have to say The Wall, by Pink Floyd.

I know listening to one, and only one album would get old, but if there was ever one that I could always listen to, without it getting old, The Wall would have to be it. I've always found it to be very relaxing, while thought-provoking at the same time.

Mob Rules by Black Sabbath

My favourite album by my favourite band. Great songs with lots of variety and a heavy ballsy production. It was a tough choice between this one and Heaven and Hell, but Mob Rules won in the end because of the better production and the fact that it doesn't have Walk Away on it. Walk Away is the only Dio era song alongside Sins of the Father that I just can't stomach.
