Instruments?

Have you ever played an instrument before? Or wanted to play one?

For me, I've played the Clarinet and Saxophone. I didn't get very good at them before I dropped out of band because it was very annoying lugging my backpack AND the case of the instrument around. I remember sucking at my test so bad I only got a 6. :worried:

But I really want to rip it up on an electirc guitar or play a bass guitar.
 
I played recorder while i was in primary school (about 10 years ago) and can still remember 1 song!
For quite a few years i played the keyboard, learning at different places, cos the money used to go up, and time down -.- (just before we were going to do the grade tests each time). Had to quit when i got an illness that left me practically bedridden for 6 months, and never took it up again afterwards.
 
I am a rhythm guitarist and can play a little bass as well. I've been playing guitar for over 9 years. I also have a drum set but I suck at playing drums.
 
I play teh guitar, but i've always wanted to learn and jam on the sax, that would be soooo cool, doing the sax bit in Money, by Pink Floyd...
 
Right now i can play piano, keyboard and guitar really well. I just wish i could sing and play drums better than i already can
 
I love playing piano. I took lessons for three years, but then my teacher moved to another city, and I never really bothered to find a new one until a month or two ago. Now I'm back into lessons, and I also try to learn a little FF music (or any other music that I really like) on the side. I just can't get enough of playing.

I also play French horn, and...well, I definitely don't like it as much as piano, but it's still pretty cool to play. I play in my city's youth symphony, which is really awesome if you're into that sort of thing like I am. I also love singing, and I played soprano and tenor recorder in elementary school because we had to.
 
:worried: Oh yeah, I've wanted to play tons of different stringed instruments before such as the violin and cello. Seeing as everyone else in my family and extended family have such a tendency to drift to guitar, I wanted to as well, but other things have kept me busy so I really am not able to act on it.

I've only ever played the flute by the way. :monster:
 
Uhhh I use to play the saxophone when I was in middle school. Haha, I want to play the saxophone because I wanted to be cool like Lisa Simpson. Yeah, I stopped playing when I got into High School.

Scotland certainly has gotten gay then. I always thought the kilt thing was just ancient tradition but maybe there's more behind it. Either that or you just suck at picking up women in general. lol

What race bathes in shit? How is that racist? Either way, we should probably stay on topic. I still think playing an instrument to get chicks is pretty damn pointless. Doing anything to get chicks is pointless. Fucking get them based on your pure awesomeness alone. Do what you do because you enjoy it and the pussy will come on its own.
 
I used to play the piano, guitar and drums. Every now and then I'll strum a bit on my brothers guitar or play the drums when I visit my parents. They also have a grand piano that I play around with a bit, but I don't really play instruments anymore. The closest I play to one is Guitar Hero and that really doesn't count at all.

In a way I can agree that playing an instrument solely for the purpose of picking up a chick is pointless. But for me, if a man can play the piano I'd fall head over heels. Piano is one of my weaknesses.
 
You know, there must be some kind of epic irony in this thread, because, not two minutes after I replied, I was just offered the position of being a drummer in a friends band.
