In this RP you would play an ordinary American High School Student. There is nothing special about you on the outside. You attend school, you do homework, you have friends and a family and you sleep.
It's during your state of sleep that things begin to happen, strange things that are unexplainable in the real world. You rise up from your body, looking down at your sleeping self. The world around you begins to fade out of focus and suddenly you're in a forest. You see a reflection of yourself in the lake near by and you're not you... you're someone different.
Where are you? Why does this feel so familiar?

This is a rough Idea for an RP that I've had for a while but couldn't really think of a good story line. Then I watched Insidious which had a similar story and it helped me put it together. Here are some basic ideas for the RP:
-Every participant get's to play at least two characters. Your Reality Character and your Dream Character (the spirit of your reality character).
-The dream character will have powers, abilities and magic. They can look however you like and will be the persona of your reality character.
-The dream world will be a forest, the forest will look different to each character depending on their personality (eg, depressed character would see a dead looking forest, Happy-go-lucky character would see a colourful, blossoming forest) The forest will shift and change however depending on certain situations.
-There will be 1 main bad guy, who's goal will remain hidden until further in the RP, however strange events will happen in both the real world and the dream world giving clues towards his objective.
-The characters in reality will not have to know each other in person but they will go to the same school. This will help connect them later.
Rules for Joining.
Yes this is just an interest check thread but I thought I would post the rules for if this RP is started so people know what they will perhaps be signing up for.
Obviously the normal RP Rules would apply to this RP as they do with every other but I will put down a few custom rules so I can keep this RP going for as long as possible.
- Please, Please, PLEASE if you're thinking of joining this RP make sure you're an active RPer. I don't want the RP to stop and start because we're waiting for people for weeks. Obviously if you suddenly have a commitment mid RP and need to leave it's fine so long as you let someone know
- I will not allow tiny posts. You must have at least 5 lines per post with decent grammar and spelling.
- Please make sure you read everyone's RP posts so you don't repeat things that have happened/ignore something another character's done etc, etc.
If this RP gets at least 4 people interested (5 including myself) then I will create a sign-ups thread
Also if you have any ideas please send 'em my way!! As I said this is a rough idea and I could use all the ideas I can get
