Hi everyone. I am in a pickle. I wanted to know what your views are on internet dating before i make any choices.

There is someone i like and want to meet but i want to know what you all think. :|
 
Got nothing to do with FF mate.

Just be careful about the whole dating online thing. I hate it, but, if you really care about this person, well, go for it. If you want to meet this person, well you're old enough to do it so, you don't need anyone to hold your hand ;P

Just make sure you meet in a cafe or something!
 
ii say go for it but tell them that if they want to bring a friend then they should. espicially if its a girl your meeting becasue it might make her feel a bit more comeftable and also meet in a public place.
 
Internet dating is stupid, and rarely ever works. Blunt, but true my friend. I admit that I have met some people who've internet dated and met each other in real life, but it never works out in the end.

The problem is, you're never really you on the internet, if you know what I mean. You may tell the truth all the time on the internet, but it can't capture your real personality, and thats what people fall in love with.

If you want to try it, go ahead, but I'm sorry to say, I highly doubt it would work.

If kyou meet the person in person first, and then since you guys live really far away and decide to communicate with each other through internet, thats a different story. But if you guys meet on the net first, and base everything off that, I don't think thats a good idea.
 
Yeah, that would be the smartest thing. Call him/her and find out its legit, I would even recommend doing this for a few weeks before EVER planning to meet, bu anyways, if you meet don't be alone, and don't die. :)
 
Lol, thank you for your concern. Am actually a cautious person by nature but its not getting me anywhere. Maybe i have a face for internet dating Lol.

I have known this person for about a year but never spoke, is that weird?

No but really...that internet dating business i think it can be pretty dangerous because you just don´t know the person on the other side intentions!

If i were you i wouldn´t put myself in that kind of stuff...just my opinion!
 
ehhh i dont know. i met someone overthe internet once, and it was super convienent that we lived i nthe same town, so we met and wound up dating. although things didnt last long, we still talk now, and we broke up 4 years ago! so, i guess i got luck? i think its worth a shot. go for it, but like with anything else, jsut be aware and be careful
 
I've always stayed away from internet relationships. If I can't have anything physical going on with them, It's not worth it. Plus it's really difficult how to interperate feelings for someone that you've talked to and never met, and I tend not to trust those feelings since they've gotten me in trouble once before.
 
You do not know what that person is really like. I wouldn't do internet dating, it's just plain wrong. You could end up with some wacky psycho killer or something..........
 
You ever hear of Match.com? Buncha bullspit. They match you up vis-a-vis compatibility, but they take it a step too far, and match you with a doppleganger of yourself. Who would want to date a clone, albeit a few different bits an' pieces....
 
Internet dating isn't the safest choice you know. Just go find one yourself in real life! Cause ya don't know who you are REALLY talking to on it. Even if they say they are you friend for real life, doesn't mean it is them! So be careful!
