Hey guys, first off I am kind of new to these forums. Hi everyone! haha. And I am a musician. Or so I like to think I am at least. But anyway, after a couple of years of doing covers of other people's songs, I am starting to make my own, however all I have atm is an intro. If you guys dont mind taking a listen and telling me if it is any good I would much appreciate it. Thanks guys. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RC52nL_bOmk The timing is not really off, I am recording on a crappy computer and at times the audio gives out which throws part of the music out of place alittle bit. One segment of the song is like that. Hopefully you guys like it.

It kept stopping at 0:32 for me every time. But so far, what I've heard was good! A little too heavy on the strumming (or maybe it's just the mic) but you should definitely finish the song. :ryan:

Thank you so much Coco for the feedback. I appreciate it. :D When I finish the song it will definietly be posted in here.

Very nice! :) I like the different types of guitars used in this! :D The way it picks up speed after about 1 minute is great too! Will this piece have lyrics?

Good start. [:

I'm not sure what your approach to music composition is.

I guess most would take the 4 chord progression you have there and break it down by sections..

-Intro
-Verse
-Chorus

Etcetera.

An example of an intro might be... hold the first chord and pick a few notes. Then, the second chord pick a few more individual notes and so on.

Then maybe the chorus would be strumming, etc.

Or, you could use open chords as opposed to barre chords, etc.

The cool thing about the guitar is there may well be an infinite number of different variations and lots of room for innovation and artistic expression..

:argor:

Whatever you decide to do with it, good luck!!

Wow, lots of great feedback!

LIRAEL!! I was actually about to PM about the song, haha. Thank you for your feedback! And this piece will most definietly have lyrics! This is just an intro, there will be a verse and chorus. Who knows? Maybe if I feel a solo or breakdown should be in place, I will fit one in. Anyway, thank you so much Lirael for your comment. Much appreciated!

Richard, this is the first time I have ever talked to you and I must say. You've made a great first impression! Haha. I loved your feedback and it has opened my mind to trying different things for what is left of the song that has to be made. I will definietly keep your criticism in mind as I finish recording.

It's cool that you're trying to make your own music. :) It's pretty good so far, though I really don't know anything about playing the guitar. I'm self-teaching myself, but I'm still learning the basics.

Oh hey, sorry Mitsuki. I didnt realize I had this in the wrong place. Won't happen again, man. Anyways, thank you so much for the feedback. I myself am also self-taught. I taught myself by listening to Pink Floyd CD's over and over again. Im on my eight year now. If you like playing guitar, keep at it man. It helps relieve a whole of stress once you get use to what fret makes what pitch/noise. Because than you can pretty much control your guitar to make any noise you want.
