It may be of interest of why I'm here: Shi has been trying to pull me to this forum for a good while. Honestly, I haven't been to a forum in a while, so I had no intentions on joining any forum at all; that's a tangent, though, and I apologize.
Because of her undying requests, I decided to entertain her, and myself, with a wager: If she could beat me at a pokemon battle, I'd join. She protested for about fifteen minutes, ramblings of "I caaannn't" and "You're too gooooooddd...", she (disgruntledly) accepted.
To be blunt, she was completely owned the first bout. I actually laughed, but that's beyond the point. She altered her team a bit, and challenged me again. However, she broke the species clause (you cannot use two pokemon of the same evolutionary tree on the same team), but I let it by.
She swept me with a shiny Swampert.
Really. A shiny Swampert. That thing is pink, and it swept my team.
Well, now that I have my composure back together, hello.
I suppose I should explain a bit about myself. If you haven't noticed, I'm a rather pragmatic individual. I'm also more or less a satirist. You'll see me using logical fallacies to make little jokes, but no one tends to catch on these jokes. It's a shame, really, but oh well.
Uhm. I like WRPGs. The Elder Scrolls series, Mass Effect, Demon's Souls, and the like. I enjoy games that let me build characters, and let me optimize them in a mathematical approach. Min-maxing is a hobby of mine, so I suppose I'm a little bit nerdy.
Who am I kidding? I play Pokemon, I'm a nerd.
Off the topic of video games, I speak several languages--to an extent--and enjoy learning about new languages. I like birdwatching, but that's a side thing. I've played soccer/futbol for about fifteen years; I still love the sport, but I don't play it anymore. Now, I just referee and coach it.
Well, honestly, I don't like talking about myself. It flusters me. But, if you have any questions, I'd be happy to answer them.
Thanks for having me.
