Is Tidus or Shuyin better?

hey guys this has really been bothering me is tidus stronger or shuyin is stronger hmm cause if i am not wrong tidus almost has the same skills as shuyin rite??
 
Tidus is a guardian that escorted a summoner to the final aeon and beat sin he is also something that was dreamt by the fayth

Shuyin is a very old unsent planning to kill everyone with vegnagun.


I don't see why would Shuyin be as strong as Tidus since all he did was stayed in Zanarkand fell in love with a summoner and built a weapon of mass destruction.
 
you cant play with shuyin and tidus is much stronger becuz he have blitz-ace and the strongest shuyin is the one that u fight in den of vou
 
I'd have to say Tidus because of all the battles he went through physically fighting fiends, etc.... He didn't just have some gigantic machina weapon called Vegnagun like Shuyin did. Really all the physical activity you see from Shuyin is when you fight him. Also Tidus is fit since he was a blitzball star, he's athetically built

I know you fight Shuyin out of the machina weapon but stop and think about this. Tidus is athletically built, is fast and learns to be a damn good fighter. I still say he's stronger than Shuyin because all we really know of Shuyin is that he uses Vegnagun. It doesn't say anything about Shuyin having any physical training as Tidus did.
 
I'm not sure but I really don't think that Shuyin created Veganagun. I think that Vegnagun was built by the Army of Bevele. Shuyin was just a soldier that fell in love with a summoner. Also Shuyin fought against Yuna, Rikku and Paine using a dark version of Tidus's overdrives almost as powerful as the originals. Tidus was created by the Dream of the Fayth based on the memories of the fayth itself so it could be a possibility to think that Tidus's appearence and skills were based on the skills and appearence of the man called Shuyin.
 
Well think of it this way... w/o Tidus, Yuna would of probably died by using the Final Aeon on Sin. But of course they didn't use any Final summon and she lived. As for Shuyin... He wasn't able to protect Lenne and in the end it was nothing but tragedy. So I would say Tidus in my opinion is stronger than Shuyin
