Most of the forums that I like to spend a lot of my time on have this feature and I love it.

It allows you to see posts as they are posting in real time all around the forum without the need to refresh.
It also makes navigation to topics fast and easy.

I think this works just as good. I don't take the forums that seriously anyway. But a good find, none-the-less.
