Kuja vs. sephiroth

tough for me to decide they r my 2 fav villans i would say sephiroth. his skill over superior all of kuja's
 
Both of them seems to have the same level of power(they can destroy the surface of a planet), but Sephiroth have some tricks(intangibility for example) that give the victory to him.
 
Being blatantly apt at both magic AND physical combat gives Sephiroth an immediate advantage over Kuja. That said, Kuja seems to have a higher magic output than Sephiroth. One could assume Kuja would simply fly out of range, but it seems obvious Sephiroth can also do the same. I've not seen either perform any act of teleportation, so I'm somewhat curious as to how Kuja would evade Sephiroth's onslaught, should he be close enough with his sword.

It depends on who'd get the pre-emptive strike really. Kuja can clearly annihilate anything with a flick of his wrist, and Sephiroth's more than capable of making mince meat out of anyone... I'm undecided. I'll probably cast a vote when other people throw in some thoughts.

Constructive thoughts though. I don't want any dogmatic fanboys/girls coming in saying one is overly better than the other. Or imma remove yoh posts, beeeeeetches.
 
well kuja in his normal form would get his ass handed to him, but if he was in trance hed probadly win. I mean he destroyed terra instantly so his magic power is highly advanced well beyond sephiroths. If it came down to brute force, well sephiroth wins there. I reckon it could go both ways sephiroth would win in a close up brawl but if kuja kept his distance he would no doubt come out the winner.
BTW i prefer kuja to sephiroth
 
Hmm... extremely tough to call as it's been a long time since I watched Advent Children and have yet to finish Final Fantasy IX.
 
although they both have the same power sephiroth is better because he can use more abillities and he has more battle expirenece

not true y does everyojne say that lol sephiorht can destroy the enitre solar system with super nova and kuja would lose when he is in trance becuase trance doesnt last forever

He can destroy an entire Solar System? I've not heard that one before :\ Last time I heard all he did was summon a Meteor ...

Meh, AC whored Sephy out on my opinion. The whole thing was "Lets make Cloud, Kadaj and Sephy look more badass than they actually are!" Just because they could move and totally unrealistic speeds and stay in the air for 5 minutes and have a conversation in the air doesn't make them baddass. (Not aimed at anyone in particular, just people who say things like "Look what Cloud/Sephiroth did in AC! THEY PWNS!" Weak arguement in my opinion.

Nothing is known of Kuja's power when not in Trance. He only bled a small amount when Bahamut, King of Dragons and second strongest Eidolon in the game attacked him on the Iifa Tree. If that isn't power, I don't know what is. Obviously Trance Kuja is more powerful, with Ultima and all :D I really liked Flare Star too. Its like Ultima and Flare combined.

Anywho, I'd be biased and say Kuja > Sephy, but I haven't played VII so I won't.

The comet destroying the solar system is an illusion. And Kuja's Trance is infinite.

But Sephiroth still wins. With exception of intelligence, he is better than Kuja in everything. He is better than Kuja in physical strength, because of his training in SOLDIER. He is better than Kuja in magic power, because of his controll over the source of all magic in his world(the Lifestream), granting him with all magic spells of the game. He is better than Kuja in mental power, because of everything he did with his willpower. And he is much faster than Kuja, because he can use the Lifestream to boost his speed(like happened with Weiss), and move in the same speed of Omega Weiss and Chaos Vincent(in the begin of their fight, they were moving so fast that it remember the fights in DBZ). And Sephiroth can do many other things.

Kuja absorbed many souls, but Sephiroth have controll over much more souls. He wins.

yep its a summon of his called super nova
 
Well from what I can remember about Kuja he has a ship that can control summons. So Sephiroth's Meteor can be redirected back at him. Kuja also has excellent control over his mana. He can also use ultima and with his excellent control over mana he could possible beat Sephiroth. This is why he is called the "angel of death"

Now Sephiroth is very skilled in close ranged combat and has excellent speed to attack enemies who are at a distance. Those skills are pretty much standard for a member of SOLDIER. Now for the skills that sets him apart from your standard SOLDIER officer. He has the skills to summon a meteor and is the only member of SOLDIER who can use the Muramasa. He is also faster and stronger than the average SOLDIER officer.

Now who would win in a battle between the two it's up in the air. If it's a battle of mana Kuja would win. Close ranged combat would mean that Sephiroth would win.
 
I think it would come down to if Sephiroth uses Jenova and if Kuja uses his dragon. Kuja could keep his distance with his dragon but with sephiroth's speed he might just kill the dragon before he can do that. And Kuja might just kill off jenova with his magic. This one is a toss up. Kuja in his trance might help a little bit but Sephiroth might as well be tranced with his brute strength. I honestly don't know who would win this battle. If it was an actual battle setup like on FF games where you can't move anywhere just fight then I would have to say sephiroth but if it's a real world battle where you can move wherever you please then I'm going to have to go with Kuja because of his magic abilities and abilities to avoid sephiroth's physical attacks.

Because everyone know that Sephiroth cannot fly, and have ONLY physical attacks. :rolleyes:

Ugh! It seems that most people in this forum only watched Last Order. Please guys, play FFVII and watch AC.

Not true. Thanos, Pre-Crisis Darkseid, Silver Surfer, Galactus, Jedah, Pyron, Dr. Strange, Chuck Norris & The Light Warriors (8-Bit Theater versions) could all pwn him and his shiny silver hair. And that's just a fraction, there's so much more people who could kick his ass. And Seph basically jobbed to Cloud.

Kuja comes out the winner. Sephiroth would nearly kill him, Kuja would Trance, and blow Sephiroth to pieces.
