Super Fighting Robot‼
Surprised I didn't find a thread like this around. (Though maybe there's a reason I didn't? Who knows!) I know there's a separate forum for people to write and submit game reviews, but I figured this thread could keep things a bit quicker, more informal, and a little briefer.
So tell us what game or games you've recently finished and be sure to go into what you thought of it or them. Be sure to keep your mini-reviews spoiler-free!
As for me:
Ace Attorney Investigations: Miles Edgeworth
I finally found my copy of it the other day and wrapped up the last case tonight. The third-person gameplay was a definite change of pace, and the logic system was a cool feature, but it still felt like a good ol' Ace Attorney game. I was a little bummed that court sessions were cut completely, but given the nature of the game (that you're playing as a prosecutor rather than defense attorney), I suppose it makes sense--and you still basically cross-examine witnesses during the investigations anyway by giving rebuttals against testimony.
The story was pretty interesting, the cases definitely kept me on my toes (you can really tell that they're doing their best to push the complexity of crimes to their limits), and it introduced some cool new characters. All in all, it's a welcome addition to the Ace Attorney series in my book. I just wonder if there will be any more games like this that deviate from the standard defense-attorney point of view.
