Here's the opening for Final Fantasy Tactics: War of the Lions for PSP! Thank you so much Square for making such an amazing game! I'm slightly disappointed that it's so underplayed, 'cause it's one of the better FF games for sure.
Haven't heard about Tactics? It's a JRPG with a grid-based battle system. Think Disgaea or Fire Emblem and you're pretty much there. The game is known for the soundtrack, characters, story and dramatic battles.
The PSP version is a much improved version of the original for PS1. In fact, it's the first the UK has seen of the game at all. Apparently it's for iPod or something too but...who knows.
Thanks for watching! The series will be starting real soon!
P.S. The series will be recorded off the PSP and not emulated at all, so the screen will be smaller (it'd take hacking etc otherwise and that's not something I'm willing to do). Fullscreen is highly recommended for what's coming .
Hey guys, welcome to a brand new series! This episode is all about the opening and what happens a year in the future. Protecting Ovelia is an easy job, with most of the battle being automated, but we do the best we can with only Ramza (our main character) to control.
-----------------------------------------------
Church Battle Strategy:
- Let the computer do all the work. Shove it, enemies!
- Use Ramza to get a little bit of damage in or boost the AI characters' bravery with his mettle ability.
-----------------------------------------------
Then we move a year into the past, where we'll be residing for a while. We find out that Delita is actually not too into kidnapping back then, so what happened? That's what we'll be finding out as we continue through this section of the game.
Does Delita's Kidnapping go to plan? Does Ramza beat down those evil shits invading the church? Are the opening cutscenes amazing (I'll answer that one: yes!)?
Thanks for watching! We'll be taking on our first proper battle next time!
P.S. I haven't sped up the enemy turns this time (much?). I'll be doing that from now on .
Hey all, welcome to the battle at Gariland! This is an easy enough battle, but considering it's the first proper battle of the game, I guess it should be easy, you know?
-----------------------------------------
Gariland Battle Strategy:
- Keep your chemists back when possible. You don't want your healers dying.
- Watch Delita. He always puts himself in harms way. Heal him whenever you need to.
- Just hack away otherwise. I like to keep my party split in two to take on the two separated groups of enemies.
-----------------------------------------
We also spend a fair amount of time looking at the job/ability system and the shop system. If you don't want to see that, I wouldn't blame you for stopping this episode after the battle. Nothing else but my explanations and how I update the party happens afterwards. I won't be spending any more time showing the party upgrades after this episode, except for a quick update at the start of episodes maybe.
Thanks for watching! Any feedback on that bit where I speed the enemy turn up at about 5 minutes 30 in would be greatly appreciated. See you next time for the Mandalia Plains! .
Hello peoples, welcome to Mandalia Plain! It's a nice little place, but it looks like there's a bit of a brawl going on! So, you can either choose for your objective to be killing all the enemies or for it to be protecting Argath (the hostage). We naturally take the tougher path so if Argath dies, it's game over!
-------------------------------------
Mandalia Plain Strategy:
- Heal Argath a lot! He'll be putting himself in trouble, so y'know.
- Take out the enemies with lower HP first, if possible. The fewer enemies remaining, the better.
- That's it really. Just go all out!
-------------------------------------
With that battle sorted, we have Argath on board as another guest character! Delita and Argath are bound to be the best of pals, am I right?
We also check out a little optional scene added to the psp version, where the people in the pub talk about multiplayer mode; something added to war of the lions. We won't bother with that though 'cause it's a wee bit shite (it can get you some really good equipment though if you fancy it).
Thanks for watching! We'll finally make it to Eagrose Castle next time, which is actually a pretty nice place to look at and provides us with some new characters .
Hey all, it's time to celebrate our victory with some of the family! I think they're referring to the battle at Mandalia Plain but it could well be the one at Gariland. Who knows ha. We get to meet a new NPC or two too, in the form of Tietra and Alma. Both of which are going to become huge parts of the story and really make the game come to life in a bit.
As for now, we need to make our way through the Siedge Weald to make it to Dorter, the town where Argath is so desperate to make it to, in order to save the Marquis.
---------------------------------
Siedge Weald Strategy:
- Level up a bit at Mandalia Plain before coming here if you have problems. Make sure to upgrade your jobs from squires and upgrade equipment to the highest at both towns/castles.
- Try to remove the bomb first. He can be a pain in the arse.
- Protect Delita and Argath. We all know how reckless they can be lmao!
- If you have a black mage, now's the time for it to shine! Use Blizzard on the goblins for one hit KOs (and possibly on more than one at a time if they close together!).
- Heal when necessary. Protect would be good with a white mage, if you have learnt it. I haven't.
---------------------------------
That swamp is killer, am I right? However, it's another level up spot, so make sure to have a few battles before next time. Dorter isn't a walk in the park .
Thanks for watching! We'll head on into Dorter next time...but will we save the Marquis?
P.S. Do Delita and Argath have to argue? They're both ever so privileged to be traveling along with a mighty Beoulve!
P.P.S. I swear I'll cut out all the equipment and shopping stuff from now on. Even I find it tedious to watch while editing :/.
-------------------------------------------
Episode 5 - Wiegraf And The City Of Dorter
http://youtu.be/b9Woe8RbFAw
Hey all, welcome to a tough little battle at the merchant city of Dorter! It looks like we need to find the Marquis even quicker with this new guy (Wiegraf) around! He seems awful violent :s. Fortunately, we don't have to fight him here though.
------------------------------------------
Merchant City of Dorter Strategy:
- Leave the archer up on top, next to your party, to Delita and Argath. They'll sort the git out.
- Try to remove the black mages really quick. They're a low level so they'll go down in one or two hits once you reach them.
- Again, keep the white mage focused on the AI stragglers. They're hard to keep safe :/.
- Ramza should be strong. Go for broke with him .
------------------------------------------
Thanks for watching! With Argath getting more and more violent himself, we need to sort this situation with the Marquis out right away. See you next time when we head to the Zeklaus Desert in the hopes of finding the Marquis. Bye!
-------------------------------------------
Episode 6 - Whose Sietch? Ew...
http://youtu.be/89xGv_COl2c
Hello peoples! This time around, we're gonna save the marquis via an easy enough battle. The enemies are trapped in the ruins, so you have the upper hand so long as you block the doorways with stronger characters.
--------------------------------------------
Zeklaus Desert Strategy:
- Block the doorways with stronger characters
- Keep the AI characters healed
- Keep your mages outside and your fighters nearer the enemies
- Magic and arrows can go over walls. Remember the enemies can do this too!
--------------------------------------------
Not a lot to this battle really. If you can't beat it, chances are you're stuck back on the squires and thieves or are a low level.
However, the plot is the main thing this time around! We've found the Marquis so everything will be all happy and rosey for the rest of the game! Yay!
Thanks for watching! We'll take him back to Eagrose Castle next time .
Hey all, are you ready for some greater plot development than we've seen in a while? There's a good reason why Tietra is kidnapped...we'll see why a bit later. The game is going to start getting a bit more in-depth soon .
However, before we get the chance to go save her, we need to check out the Brigands' Den! This is where Milleuda is going to pop up and introduce herself. She's not a huge character in herself, but there are some dire consequences from what happens throughout the next two battles.
-----------------------------------------------
Brigands' Den Strategy:
- If you want, you can go straight for Milleuda. She's the only one you need to kill to win this battle.
- Otherwise, take down the white mage quick so she can't heal.
- Delita and Argath are both weak now. Protect them and heal them often. Or just let them die and focus on your main party. Up to you.
- Otherwise, there's not much to say. Go all out!
-----------------------------------------------
And with that, we're done for the episode! We'll head towards Eagrose Castle next time and start our search for Tietra . Thank you so much for watching!
Hey all, here comes some more plot development! We actually see Argath in a whole new light and lose him as a guest. That doesn't mean he's entirely evil though...does it?
Also, Dycedarg is hurt in bed, but will he die so soon and with barely any impact on the story?
There's a cutscene in this part too, which is absolutely stunning. It's not packed with action, in fact it's incredibly quiet and shows some insight into Delita and Ramza's growing friendship. I love this one.
The battle this time around is all about Milleuda's revenge. Maybe we should have killed her off sooner and listened to Argath's harsh but perhaps useful opinions? Nah, too much guilt lies that way.
-------------------------------------------
Lenalian Plateau Strategy:
- Take out the mages first. Black mages preferably and then the time mage. Watch out for her haste and slow.
- Go straight for Milleuda if you like. She's the only target that needs to be killed.
- Keep healed etc etc. Delita is weak now etc etc.
-------------------------------------------
And that about wraps it up! We'll head to the Windflats next time, which has an interesting boss character. See you there .
-------------------------------------------
Episode 9 - Wiegraf's Revenge
http://youtu.be/XbEt7fxyD-U
Hey all! It looks like Milleuda was Wiegraf's sister, so he's out for revenge! But will he be able to defeat us?
-----------------------------------------
Fovoham Windflats Strategy:
- Wiegraf is the toughest of the enemies. Go for him first if he comes in close.
- The chocobo can cure himself and the enemies. It has low HP and defence too.
- The monks are gonna counter now and again, so magic could be a good option for taking those down.
- Delita is complete crap by this point. Protect him or ignore him. Up to you.
-----------------------------------------
Thanks for watching! We'll be finding Tietra next time and isn't that an interesting battle and bit of story development? See you there .
-------------------------------------------
Episode 10 - Chapter Tietra Completed
http://youtu.be/G25zICgCKJs
Ok, I want to keep this one brief and spoiler-free, because this episode has the end of chapter 1...important plot within! I'll leave it to you guys to see what happens this time around . What I will say though, is that Tietra is finally found. There's also a great cutscene.
For brief battle help here, just go straight for the boss character if you like. It's all you need to do to win.
Thanks for watching! We'll start chapter 2 tomorrow .
P.S. I had to lower the mic volume later on, because someone came home and put their music on full blast. Not naming names .
Hey all, here comes the start of chapter 2! Now we have two new AI characters instead of Delita and Argath: Agrias and Gafgarion. These two are much more powerful and useful than they were .
We kick things off with a battle back at the merchant city of Dorter:
--------------------------------------------
Dorter Battle 2 Strategy:
- Look out for the archers and mages. Take them down quickly if possible.
- Agrias and Gafgarion are great. Don't worry about needing to heal them too often (though I'm sure you're used to having to with the old guests ha).
- Just go all out otherwise. It's a pretty simple battle compared with what we've had to put up with lately.
--------------------------------------------
So, with that simple enough battle out of the way we can carry on towards Araguay Woods (and ultimately Fort Besselat) next time .
Thanks for watching!
-------------------------------------------
Episode 12 - Boco The Chocobo!
http://youtu.be/volt2vMWk1A
Hey folks, just a short episode today. This time around, we're heading into the Araguay Woods and finding our new pal: Boco the chocobo. We choose to save him, because we want him in our party, right? Right.
-------------------------------------
Araguay Woods Strategy:
- Get your white mage near Boco as quickly as possible. He's not allowed to die and he's physically weak.
- All the enemies are goblins, so Blizzard/Blizzara is incredibly useful. You can take out up to 5 of the enemies in one spell if they're positioned right .
- Agrias and Gafgarion will help you through this. Don't worry about them...concentrate on your own party.
-------------------------------------
So yeah, this is pretty much a filler battle. Still, the next battle certainly isn't, so keep an eye out peoples . Thanks for watching!
Why 'ello there! This battle at Zeirchele Falls has important plot that will affect some of the game. Worth a watch . I'm not gonna put any more in here for now other than the battle strategy...in case of spoilers.
-------------------------------------
Zeirchele Falls Strategy:
- Protect the princess! She will cast Aegis on herself (puts a tonne of status buffs on the character, from haste to regen to reraise) so you don't have to worry too much. Still, keep an eye out.
- Take Gafgarion out quickly. He's gonna be a pain in the arse otherwise.
- Delita is really strong now. He's take out a few enemies for you easily.
- Otherwise, go all out I guess.
-------------------------------------
Look out for the cinematic after the battle! It's a nice one...but aren't they all?
Thanks for watching! If you want to skip the rest after the cutscene, I wouldn't blame you. The equipment stuff is a bit long-winded .
-------------------------------------------
And all done! That took a wee while lmao. This is a daily lp, with one battle per day for the most part. There might be two battles in a day sometimes.
