Welcome to a brand new let's play guys and gals: Resident Evil 5! It's gonna be an online co-op series of the main story being played right through; there'll be plenty of bonus episodes too.

This is going to be the Playstation 3 version on Normal difficulty. We're scrapping our weapons etc from older playthroughs and starting over with the very basic weapons. We will be treating this series like a clean runthrough.

For those who don't know, Resi 5 is an action shooter with horror elements. Its emphasis on co-op/multiplayer is what makes it stand out among the other games in the series (except 6). The fact that it tries to do horror in sunlight is also pretty special, even if they did cut out the whole glare effect upon release.

Resi 5 was made entirely by Capcom and not by me or the co-commentator (who will be revealed tomorrow in episode 1). We didn't create the characters, music, graphics, plot...anything. All we did was record us playing and commented. Thank you Capcom!

P.S. I've been waiting to record this game for so long. It's been a loooong time since the Resi marathon ha.

Hey everyone! Here's the start of the next let's play: Resi 5! Chapter 1-1 is all about meeting non playable characters and having them die in the most violent ways. It's amazing lmao.

Also, there was this idea floating around that Resi 5 was the most racist game to ever be brought into this universe. What do you guys think?

Otherwise, there's the public assembly section where we're introduced to the Executioner. We try to beat him...we really do...

Chapter 1-2 is all about the blonde chick mini-boss and the Uruboros boss! How in Hell could an incinerator help us there? And can we actually use it properly without ending up dead (ok, we all know that I could muck it up at any time!)?

Chapter 2-1 - Enter The Chainsaw

Why hello peoples. Chapter 2-1 introduces the first of the lengthy episodes (forty something minutes) along with loads of new in-game content. From flying parasites, to motorbike QTEs, to the chainsaw majini (boss time!), to our first proper split up moment! Turns out there's a way to avoid having to really split up for long...more inside.

Chapter 2-2 - Irving And The Popkarim

Hello again all! It looks like our main villain is Ricardo Irving for a while, so let's chase him down! He's pretty annoying...doesn't he sound like Salazar from Resi 4? Is it the same voice actor?

Anyways, we also head through the pitch black mines with only a very limiting torch to help us! Then there's that boss...Popkarim. It's funny how different this mutated bat is from the one in Resi Zero, isn't it? Plagas makes a world of difference.

Oh! I almost forgot to mention the love that dogs have for trains. Sweet.

Chapter 2-3 - El Gigante Returns!

Look out for El Gigante from resi 4! Slightly different but not much. The way you beat him is the only main difference. We won't be seeing him again either. Sad times :(.

Chapter 3-1 - Chicken Island

Hey all, here's chicken island! Of course, there's more to the swamp than just chickens, but they're the best part naturally.

The swamp holds many islands that hold a few emblem pieces that need to be collected to progress. From a load of new enemies that are much more aggressive than the ones we've seen so far, to crocodiles, to elephant men, to a new survival section that's so hard!

Oh! We also find a load of BSAA emblems along with a new magnum and a rocket launcher. All incredible stuff ;).

And here we have the rest of the marsh area! No boat this time, but there's some rafting with crocs along with plenty of cranking. Naturally, I'm the one who has to risk my life :p.

Next up, we head into the power plant and take on a few chainsaw majinis. Stress!

And lastly, we need to protect Josh from a million more majini along with another chainsaw majini. I think this is the last we see of them?

Oh, of course there's the timed part where things go boom and ever so slightly splish.

Hey everyone! Chapter 4-1 has a couple of new locations. There's the cave, which is pretty short but it showcases a new type of buggy enemy which can be damn annoying if you're separated.

The ancient ruins area is bigger; we'll be there for a couple of chapter parts. I'm supposed to protect Vircon at the first part, you know. Supposed to. But then again, he's supposed to protect me on the later part, but I think he lied when he said he was shooting enemies. For shame! Prancer

Finally, we take on the Popkarim one final time! I think we beat the world record at beating him, I really do ;). You don't have to take him down this time, but you do get a unique jewel!

The hunt for the three emblems to progress is tough, but the lightbeam puzzles are worse! One wrong move and it's time to die and start again.

Chapter 5-2 - Meet The Reaper

Hey all, here comes a large section of military majini! Loads of enemies with the most dangerous weapons. Also, there's something slightly more threatening in something called the Reaper! Let these nasty bugs near you and it's a 1-hit ko! You can't even be revived or anything. Best to shoot those white blobs to get by, but that's easier said than done when they're chasing towards you.

We also take on Exella's pet project: Uroboros! Yep, we fought one of these things back in chapter...1-2? That time we had the incinerator; this time we have a rechargeable flamethrower! Buuuuurn!
