After a bit of mulling over whether or not I want to put this here, I will go ahead and do so. I've only done one previous Let's Play with commentary so I'm still complete shit, but I decided to do it again regardless. I usually play a little over two hours a day before moving on with the rest of life, but it's what I have allocated. The videos are not two hours a piece but I usually put up a small handful when I do so.
Tomb Raider (2013) is a reboot of the Tomb Raider series, putting Lara at a much younger age than any of her previous games. After the Uncharted series and Nathan Drake (aptly nicknamed "Dude Raider") put most of the series to shame by encasing the same dungeon diving and acrobatic glory of Tomb Raider within blockbuster moments, Square Enix decided it was time to take a fresh approach. Using a much more refined version of the old Tomb Raider aspects, the game is much darker, the combat more intuitive -- but I still suck.
I advise turning the video quality up if you can support it, it's a beautiful game.
Totally unrelated, but I also took a few screenshots of the first two levels. Check 'em out. Photobucket lowered the quality of the images, but if you want the full 1080 image, you can find the zip file HERE.
This is the introduction to the game as well as the entirety of the introduction sequence. I have a SERIOUS fail and am stumped by an obvious puzzle for like 5-10 minutes.
In this video we learn the basics of hunting (or shooting) before things take another nose dive. Less failing here.
And last but not least, we finally get our hands on some real hardware.
Really excited about doing this LP! Looking forward to continuing.
