Hey all, here's the opening to the wii version of Twilight Princess! I'm not sure if it's any different from the GC version but...y'know.

This will be my next let's play series and I'm 100% excited for it! It's gonna be a biggy ha. It's a contender to be my favourite game of all time. I remember that Christmas when the Wii arrived and I couldn't stop playing :/. I think it racked up to about 9 hours a day, which is a lot for me.

For anyone who doesn't know of Zelda, it's an adventure game that people like to call an action RPG. Twilight Princess specifically is pretty dark, but really relaxing at the same time. Its greatness stems from the astonishing soundtrack, memorable characters (prepare yourself for the pub lady) and atmosphere in general. Like I said: it has gone much darker than other games in the series. About on par with Majora's Mask.

This won't be a 100% run. I'll be collecting anything that springs to mind as we go along, but I won't be going too far out of my way to show off any of the more boring/tedious heart pieces etc. The po and bug hunts will not be completed.

I will be shutting my trap for the cinematics and stuff, but there will be light text reading throughout (there's not all that much text in this game anyway though).

We'll be starting the main game tomorrow. While I want to make this a daily series, the graphics are a bit better than my usual PS1 (and before) series, so it'll take longer. I also want to put a bit more effort into the editing this time around. Shall we say it'll be daily but sometimes there'll be a day without an episode? Anyways, I'm rambling lmao.

Thanks for watching! Of course, none of this was made by me but the gameplay. Thank you Nintendo :).

P.S. Any comments/suggestions etc, just gimme a shout and I'll try my best to incorporate them. I'm gonna be making this a live series rather than bulk recording, so it should be easier to take things into consideration :).

Episode 1 - The Farmhand

http://youtu.be/Mj4lhjwBTVI

Hey all, welcome to the new series! This episode is a wee bit long, but that means we make a tonne of progress. Check out our hero for the game: Link. He may not seem like the guy we all know from the series yet, but things change a lot. We also meet Epona, who is an amazing horse.

Then there's Ilyena, who is also going to be a major character. If things stayed like this, I'm sure she would get together with Link. Just watch that cutscene and you'll know what I mean.

While Ordon Village is incredibly quiet and holds for a relaxing start to the game, it's also home to a load of stuff to do. From fishing for the local cat, to saving a casket from a monkey, to controlling hawks (ish), to meeting the local kids. There's loads to do :).

We get a few new items here too: the slingshot for annoying and blinding everyone, a wooden sword for slapping goats, a bottle for loads of stuff.

Oh! And look out for the goat herding! It's so much funnier than it may sound lmao. GOAT IN!

Thanks for watching! We'll be seeing what all this monkey business is about next time! :)

Episode 2 - Into The Forest

http://youtu.be/cwksGYan910

Hey all, welcome to episode 2! This time around, we grab a lantern in order to head on into Ordon Forest with Epona. There's a lovely little piece of heart there which is really simple to get. It looks like the monkey isn't the big cheeky villain that we thought she may have been. There's something bigger going on...

There's a little bit of goat herding going on as well, but I make it a wee bit different this time 'cause it'd be boring otherwise. And nobody wants that lmao.

Finally, there's a whole tonne of cutscene involved, really progressing the story and making for huge suspense. Ilyena has a deep lesson taught her and we head into a whole new realm. The Twilight Realm is incoming! ;)

Thanks for watching! We'll check out the other realm next time (and it's incredibly different to what we've experienced so far) :).

Episode 3 - Midna's Twilight

http://youtu.be/YWtoBHLn0XY

Hey all, are you ready to check out the Twilight realm? I'm gonna keep this one brief to avoid any sort of spoilers and stuff. We'll just say that the game takes a horroresque approach for this episode and that we get to meet someone new.

Oh oh oh! My favourite cutscene of the game is in this part too. Keep an eye out for somewhere near the end of the vid. You'll love it :D.

Thanks for watching! Loads of wolfy goodness next time, along with the village after those monsters attacked... ;)

Episode 4 - Link The Hero

http://youtu.be/mcPtzdgic6E

Hey all, welcome to an extra long episode, especially made to finish up everything before our first dungeon!

We kick things off by finding a sword and shield as wolf Link. This is an easy enough matter, but look out 'cause the villagers are a bit wary of random wolves. Especially since the children were all kidnapped by those twilight monsters!

Along with this, we take care of a matter of removing the twilight from the Faron Woods. This is all done by finding the tears for the tear vessel. Because I know that a load of people hate the tear-finding parts though, I sped some of it up a little bit. Just a little bit.

After all this, we get to be human Link again! Yay! We also have to make it through the transformed woods with the help of a certain she-monkey, but that only takes like a few minutes so it's all good.

Thanks for watching! We've made it to the Forest Temple, our first dungeon, so we'll be kickstarting that next time. Thanks again! :)

Episode 5 - Boomerang Butt

http://youtu.be/HXPErmONDh4

Welcome to the Forest Temple! We'll be taking a look over at the monkey cages for some feisty, swinging fun! There's also the map to be found and a load of other stuff in here, so enjoy!

Of course, we take on the mini-boss in this episode too, who is incredibly red-cheeked when we beat him! This gets us the inventory item for the dungeon, which is completely unique to Twilight Princess and not seen in any other Zelda game.

Thanks for watching! We'll be making use of the new inventory item next time and finishing off the temple. :)

P.S. That's the reddest arse I've ever seen. Probably from his spankin'!

Episode 6 - The Diabolical Diababa

http://youtu.be/P7ud1GFwv-c

And welcome back to the Forest Temple! This time around, we're gonna wrap the whole dungeon up, ready to head out of the woods at last!

The temple still holds the compass, big key, 8 total monkies that we have to find (though we found a couple in the last video) and the boss.

Speaking of the boss, Diababa (the twilit parasite) is a simple enough boss. Naturally, you need to use the new inventory item that is found in the dungeon to beat him! Just use the boomerang to blow the bomb into him and part 1 is sorted! As for part 2, blow the bomb into the main boss (not the 2 mini-bosses hanging around on his left and right).

With that, we have our first fused shadow for Midna, which has some sort of mysterious power flowing through it 0_0. Thanks for watching!

P.S. We also find the heart piece hidden inside the temple. Forgot to mention that :s.

Episode 7 - The Kakarikan Twilight

http://youtu.be/QOQW-1Owzdo

Hey all, here comes our journey across Hyrule Field for the first time! With all of the Faron Woods area done, we're told by Midna that the Eldin province is in twilight too, so we should head there! It's just a coincidence that the second fused shadow is there too (she so sneaky!).

As soon as we make it to the Eldin province, we have a bit of a bridge issue, but that's sorted easily enough so long as you kept your eyes peeled in the forest.

We also find a new scent for wolf Link that let's us find the children that need rescuing! Ever onward!

As soon as we make it to the ever-popular Kakariko Village, we see that the spirit/guardian is in trouble, just like those in the forest. You know what that means, right? Tear-hunting time! Don't worry though, I've sped it up again. Also, there's a really interesting cinematic near the start of it all. I obviously didn't speed that up...for the sake of goodness! The fear that they all have is so depressing and really made me want to save them. Not many games can make me care about the NPCs :/.

Once all of this is taken care of, we get to meet the Eldin guardian properly, and that's an amazing sight. And the kids/mayor are saved!
Looks like the gorons are having problems up on Death Mountain so that's something to look forward to next time. We'll be making it all the way to the second dungeon next time :D. Thanks for watching sirs and madams! ;)

P.S. We also find the wolf stone that will let us learn a new fighting ability next time :). I'm not sure what song that is...'cause all the wolf whistle songs are meant to be a song from OoT. Any help with that one?

P.P.S.
I absolutely love the music in Kakariko. It's not really like that from OoT, but it's great in a different, more western way.

Episode 8 - Goron Aid

http://youtu.be/wIk5i_mpCVU

Hey all, are you ready to head on over to the 2nd dungeon??? Well, it takes a while to get there, so hold onto your hats! There's a hell of a lot packed into this episode.

We can't actually climb Death Mountain until we visit our mayor in the forest, so we head back there and learn how to sumo wrestle! This earns us the iron boots, which will be amazing for a lot of the game. They're sturdy, heavy aaaaand...some other property that we'll find out about in the dungeon.

We also grab a new shield and learn a new shield attack from the wolf (it's alright...not that useful really).

There's also a bit of a surprise as Colin gets kidnapped by the ogre/goblin chief! We sort that mess out...with a wee amount of issues.

And finally, we actually climb up Death Mountain and talk to Gor Coron. One of the four goron elders needs our help! The goron mines are playing up and they need some sort of hero to save them ha.

Thanks for watching! With all this done (and actually one or two other tiny things too), we make it to the second dungeon! See you next time :).

Episode 9 - Those Elders Of Mine

http://youtu.be/cPRtLk0ClnE

Hey all, it's time to make a start on dungeon 2! The Goron Mines are the inevitable fire dungeon of this Zelda game and is one of the more unique fire dungeons of the series. You think those iron boots would be best suited to a water dungeon? Nope!

Anyways, things start off a bit sticky, but once we get into the swing of things, we make some good progress. We actually collect two of the three big key shards along with the inventory item that will make you awful relieved :/. It makes fighting at a distance a cinch!

Thanks for watching! We'll finish up this dungeon next time, including a pretty incredible bit of boss design :).

Episode 10 - The Formidable Fyrus

http://youtu.be/1_5-Ibtlw4s

Hey all, here's the rest of the Goron Mine! All we have left to do is find the compass and the last big key shard, so we do just that!
The boss of the mine will come to no one's surprise, but the monster design for Fyrus is pretty great. The fact that he isn't really evil makes it quite a sad story :(.

After all the hoopla with the fire dungeon being done etc, we grab another new inventory item (the bombs) and grab 2 more heart pieces really quick at the end.

Thanks for watching! We'll be heading over to the Lanyru province next time for the last chunk of twilight. See you there! :)

Episode 11 - The Late Queen Rutela

http://youtu.be/6l9UUUWUA-Y

Hey there folks, here's a large part of the Lanyru province! It involves everything before the tear hunt, so:

- Hyrule Castle Town, including Telma's Pub

- Lake Hylia: there's a drought!

- Zora's Domain, including melting all the ice and meeting the late Queen Rutela. We make a promise here that will affect the next episode).

- A monster bird minigame, that's really tricky...or is it just my wiimote spazzing out?

- Finding the great spirit of the area now that the water is back.

Thanks for watching! We got loads done here which I'm really quite proud of. See you next time for everything else before the 3rd dungeon! :)

P.S. Zant really showed his dark side in this one. Y'know, other than sticking everyone in twilight elsewhere.

Episode 12 - Our Final Tears

http://youtu.be/u591NUAAffw

Hey all, are you ready for a tonne of progress? The first thing we take care of is meeting the Lanayru province guardian spirit and collecting all the tears; that's a task and a half in this area, but it's the last time we'll have to do it! This involves hunting around Lake Hylia, Zora's Domain, Hyrule Castle Town and one or two other in betweeny areas. This is all sped up, of course ;).

We also learn a new move via the wolf-skeleton. Back Slice is pretty great throughout the game! :)

Other than all that, we head back to Telma in her pub and finally meet Ilyena for the first time since the start of the game! Something seems wrong though...

That injured Zora turns out to be the late Queen Rutela's son, so we have to help him! We protect the wagon all the way back to Kakariko Village and hand him over to safer hands.

Finally, we grab the water bombs and Zora Suit and head on over to the 3rd dungeon: Lakebed Temple! I love this place and can't wait to get started ;).

That's for next time though! Thanks for watching! :)

Sorry if the picture quality is a little lower than usual. Issues with longer vids :/.

Episode 13 - Queen Brahne's Return!

http://youtu.be/obfkkd8vSOc

Welcome all to the Lakebed Temple! The zoras designed such an intricate and fashionable shrine, huh? I absolutely love this place...so don't let my moaning make you think any different! From the easy map at the start, to the centralised water room, to the interesting bubble enemy, there's loads to see and do.

We can't forget about that mini-boss either! This guy (I think its name may be Queen Brahne) is ok so long as you use your spin attack for the midgets and roll to avoid the shadow when it bounces into the sky. Also, attack the tongue when it comes down and stab through it when its weak enough ;).

This leads us to the inventory item of the dungeon, which is incredible. It's seen in loads of Zelda games (though a bit differently), but it has really been improved this time around.

Thanks for watching! See you next time for the big boss (and other Lakebed Temple bits and pieces) :).

Episode 14 - The Malevolent Morpheel!

http://youtu.be/Uu4tnijqzu8

Hello folks! This time around, we finish off the Lakebed Temple in a pretty short episode. It's weird saying that 18 minutes is short...but that's how this series seems to be working out :s.

Look out for both heart pieces in the temple along with the big key. We also fill the central area with more water giving us access to the boss .

Speaking of the boss, Morpheel is much simpler than I remember. In his first form, just aim at the eye when it appears in one of the closer tentacles (with the clawshot). In the second form, swim close, lock on and shoot!

Thanks for watching! We'll be checking out one of the best songs in the Zelda series next time and seeing what the game is all about now that we've grabbed all of the fused shadows ;).

Episode 15 - Midna's Lament

http://youtu.be/ywObdpBZlk4

Hey all, it's time to see just what happens now that Midna has her three fused shadows that she's been badgering us to get all the way through the game. I'll leave that part spoiler free.

Look out for the song in this part: Midna's Lament. I've chucked an annotation in the vid with a link to the uninterrupted song.

Also: Zant shows up this around in person, instead of in stories or past cutscenes! It's time to see what he's truly like...

As for Hyrule Castle, it's really nice to see it in the light world, even if it is still raining and stuffs.

Thanks for watching! With the death of a certain character, it's quite a sad way to start the rest of our journey :'(.

Episode 16 - Skullkid's New Home

http://youtu.be/mGRU_u00ZFo

Hey all, it's time for us to break free of our wolf form once again, and to do that we need to head to the Sacred Grove! This place is absolutely stunning; from the music (Saria's Song anyone?), to the skullkid, to the miniboss, to the statue puzzle at the end. It's all good :D.

There happens to be a Master Sword here too, which is ever so handy! With that in hand, not only do we deal more damage, but we can also transform into a wolf whenever we want (so long as no one can see us, that is). I mean, it's the little curse fragment thing that lets us transform, not the sword...but you know what I mean.

Thanks for watching! We'll be heading to a brand new area next time!

P.S. Keep an eye out for a bonus episode. It'll show off loads of optional stuff in hopefully a short, neat little package ;).

Episode 16a (Bonus!) - Lanayru Minigames!

http://youtu.be/7us4veHh8EA

Hey all! I thought I'd chuck up a bonus episode with loads of optional stuff you can do around the Lanayru province.

The rewards we get are: a bigger rupee bag, an extra bomb bag so we can carry 2 types of bombs instead of choosing between the water bombs and regulars and a bigger quiver. We also check out a few other little things.

I didn't mean for there to be any progress in this bonus episode, but we do have the postman run up to us and tell us that we need to go to Telma's bar in order to progress the game. I'll give that a shout out in the next episode ;).

Thanks for watching! Back to normality next time :).

Episode 17 - Burn The Campsite!

http://youtu.be/cguKGaeHPoE

Hey folks, here's everything you need to do between Sacred Grove and the 4th dungeon! For starters, we need to take a quick detour over to Telma's bar and meet our new crew, who will be helping us throughout the rest of the game. Auru, the major character for finding the next dungeon, is at Lake Hylia, ready to give us a special pass for the cannon.

Gerudo Desert is pretty nice for a sandy area (of which I really dislike in games). It's really a bit bland, but at least there's no quicksand huh? There are a couple of things to do in the desert, but we can't really do them yet. It's best to have more max health for one sidequest and you need another inventory item (from one of the last dungeons) for a heart piece.

During our travels, we learn how everyone who was sent to the Twilight Realm were once prisoners and Midna is one of them! But...I'm not sure if that was actually what they meant or if I misread it :s. We also learn that the mirror of twilight is a gateway between the light realm and Twilight Realm...so what is Midna plotting exactly?

We also take care of the campsite, with all the ogres/goblins hanging around, grabbing a heart piece from a huge slab of meat while we're at it. Keep an eye out for the miniboss: the ogre chief! If you haven't been learning your sword-fighting moves, you might have a bit of trouble. Maybe. Speaking of those moves, we learn Mortal Draw here, which is alright. I'm not sure if I'll really end up using it much.

Thanks for watching! We've made it to the 4th dungeon, so I'll see you next time when we start it! :)

Episode 18 - Brothers Grimm

http://youtu.be/cyI9PtVyLyA

Hey all, welcome to the Arbiter's Grounds! This is the earth temple of Twilight Princess, and is certainly my least favourite dungeon in the game. I seem to enjoy it more this time through though, somehow.

If you've played Ocarina of Time and played the forest temple, then you kinda know what's coming with the poes. This is also the first dungeon where you have to use both human and wolf Link pretty equally, which is nice.

Anyways, we collect the first heart piece, map and compass this time around. Also: the mini-boss is the grim reaper, which is seriously amazing. Our reward for beating him? The inventory item of the dungeon!

Thanks for watching! See you next time when we finish off the dungeon and see what's up with that mirror of twilight ;).
